mach7: What kind of democracy are these "Obidients" hoping to bring onboard if successful? A democracy where any dissenting opinion must be ridiculed and silenced? One really has to start getting worried as this is getting out of hand.
A man wrote an article stating certain points from his own perspective, you might choose to agree with or not. But to go to the extent of calling him an insult to his generation or that his children should be ashamed of him has crossed all known extremes.
Many of you doing this online mob action and cyber bullying, thinking that you are anonymous, I really pity you all.
But the person I pity the most is the candidate you are all glorifying and on whose behalf you are attacking others. He is simply a politician and right now, he says things that tickles your ears, he seems to be the candidate with a difference as you claim. Yet he has spent all his political years doing the same things every politician has always done - which is to fight for his interest.
May God have mercy on you all, because when he does eventually lose the presidential election and moves back to his real political family, I hope you will have the courage and strength to move on from despair and repair whatever bridges you might have burnt in defense of him. Just shut up, please. Your country is going down the drains and you still have the effrontery to defend those who are bringing the country to ruins? Shame on you. |

ThrownBack: From what I can see up there, Peter Obi will win this election.
It's not because of regional votes or any other demographics, the people are tired of being hungry and unemployed, with insecurity plaguing their lives. 84 million voters cannot make the mistake of voting for failures like those being paraded by PDP and APC. Are you sure you are seeing what you saw? From the data above, the people who will determine the direction of the election are voters from the South West and North West. If those people are not sizably obidients on the election day, na real wahala be dat o. |

mayor1814: What Hermes did to me is his own decision. However, the fact that he nominated Khalid, a supposed close buddy and roommate of his is bound to elicit shocking reactions from all. I'm not emotional about it whether what he did was right or wrong. I can't judge him but the fact is that loyalty has always been a good quality and it's still is.
In 2006, Katung Aduwak nominated Ebuka Obi Uchendu for eviction. It shocked everybody because they were the closest friends in the house then. When he was asked why he nominated Ebuka, he said Ebuka was the strongest link or housemate in the house. Everyone was shocked including Ebuka when he eventually found out. Now, 16 years after I can confidently say that 70 to 80 % of BBNAIJA enthusiasts don't remember the name of Katung despite being the winner but 99 if not 100% of BBNAIJA enthusiasts recognize Ebuka. Even in Naija entertainment scene Ebuka is a household name.
The point is no matter the game strategy we all play, loyalty is always key. So you want to compare the dull and uninteresting Khalid of 2022 to the sharp and vibrant Ebuka of 2006? Loyalty is okay but don't shoot yourself in the leg and blame it on loyalty because that is foolishness whichever way you might want to look at it. |

Klass99: Most of these civil service ministries and some private sector employers, no dey fit pay monthly salary, reliably, as and when due. Na hourly dem go fit pay?
Make we reason am na, they usually have about 25 - 28 days to plan towards salaries but when the month ends na story. I worry that hourly payments may even be harder to implement, las las if you clocked in 80 hours, they will decide to only pay 40 hours with some BS story.
To answer your question, I won't mind hourly pay. I get to decide how many hours per day I want to work and work-life balance will be a reality in my control. We pay too much lip service to work-life balance in Naija and in a city like Lasgidi it should be actively enforced. I just taya. But hourly pay for good o. Like me wey be number one lazy youth of Africa, I go just wake up, calculate how many hours I go like work for in a day. |

Peter Obi is our guy.
Peter Obi has my vote and votes of all my family and village people.
Peter Obi is the best choice among all the candidates because he is someone who has the interest of moving Nigeria educationally, economically and technologically forward.
One top of that, Peter Obi has no criminal dealings associated with him.
Since he left office as Anambra State governor, we have never heard of EFCC this or EFCC that concerning him. In fact, while some governors leave the state coffers empty, Peter Obi left more than enough funds available for the next government after him.
Thank God, we are no longer going to be faced with making a choice between SNIPER and OTAPIAPIA. |

Mgbeke might speak a horrendous English on a National TV that will live on forever which will shock you and make you to exclaim Diaris god o! You might spend a lot of money and put loads of efforts to clean up an mgbeke to make her presentable to the society. Do you have that time, energy and resources? Mgbeke will have the tendency to have low self esteem which means that she might mistake anything you say to her as a personal attack due to her innate mgbeke-ness. As a typical onye ime obodo, a typical mgbeke's attitude and lifestyle is like follow come. It can never leave her. Can you deal with that? |

SmartyPants: Indeed, as expected.
So its all about Peter Obi as a person rather than about choosing the right candidate.
If not, wasn't Kingsley Moghalu on the ballot? Of course, it's all about Peter Obi. We Igbos don't vote because of tribalism. We vote with competence in our minds. We Igbos are basically business-minded and only competency-driven government will enable our businesses to thrive. |
Politics › Re: Atiku Discovered Peter Obi Before Keyboard Warriors Knew About Him, Says Melaye by Secondly: 3:17pm On Jul 31, 2022 |
SmartyPants: This is why I can't take a single Obi supporter serious.
If Atiku and PDP were good enough for you 4 years ago, and Obi was happy to run with Atiku, how can you, in good conscience now be so vehemently against the same Atiku?
There were candidates like Moghalu then but you didn't care. Now you want us to believe it's all about picking the right man for the job.
Well, I don't particularly identify with any of these candidates and I think each of them has something to offer while none of their hands are clean. But I think for now Atiku has the best chance. Will he loot the nation dry a second time? Time will tell.
But I feel PO should have waited to be Atiku's vice, and he would have walked the ball into an open net for the presidency thereafter. Don't be silly. Atiku was an option last four years simply because Peter Obi was not on the ballot. But this time around, Peter Obi is on the ballot so automatically, Atiku is NO LONGER an option. Hope that is clear to you now? |
