Even in your cherished NYSC, you are taught to crawl under low wires. Crawling is a time-tested military technique
you're right on point but it doesn't work in Nigeria. the nysc you mentioned never even taught the main purpose of crawling. an average Nigerian don't know what to do in an emergency where gun shorts or bullet is being fired. crawling should be the next thing but they don't know.
I do tell my wife and family members if they hear the sound of a gun short or noticed bullet being fired, go down flat then keep crawling to safety or keep rolling on your sides away from that location. this is based on some major experience, growing up and trainings.
truth is hardly would five percent of our population know this rudimentary drill because they don't know, they are not taught. an average american, has been taught how to maneuver his way in war like situation from toddler, while in the elementary school, it forms part their extra curricular training.
no american lady or woman would be raped without giving a fight cause they orientated to never go down in life without giving a fight but no such thing here except from Osun State that has started training her women in martial arts.
the introduction of civic education to our educational system is go but check the content it's all reputation of social studies. no teaching on fire safety, mental alertness and all, the only add on is human right and it not being taught as core life instrument but a subject you need to write and pass, the more reason most Nigerians don't know their rights.

service chief did not instruct captured bokoharam to be realised.. that was buhari. Point your finger at the right place..... nor dey wear pant for head
then the service chiefs should realise the tax payers fun and wealth from are resources is not meant for them to capture those miscreant but crush.
so we should exonerate the service chiefs in this whole game. the military are the worse hit in the recent time but still the service chiefs are rather overwhelmed or cashing out big time.
my humble submission here is, I'm in full support of the current trend of things this should rather continue than stop, probably this would propel the government at helm of affairs to do better.
if those miscreants would seize from attacking innocent citizens but those money bags then I'm in with them may their reign live long but if they are after soft target then some super natural forces should visit them, their sponsors and our useless leaders.
they let go of those innocent soldier but source our service chiefs, fish them out like rodent being smoked out of its borrow.

Nairaland General › Re: The Smell Is Good For You, Check Out 7 Surprising Health Benefits Of Farting by SEGLIZ: 9:19am On Jul 30, 2020
enny66:
Whether they’re loud or silent, stinky, or odorless, everyone farts. Doctors say the average person farts anywhere from 5 to 15 times per day. Farting is a normal part of digestion that reflects the activity of the bacteria in your gut. You might also notice that you fart more when you eat certain foods that are more difficult to digest, such as beans or raw vegetables.

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who love fart jokes and those who don’t. But there’s only one kind when it comes to passing gas. That kind is everyone. Although farting in public or in the company of other people is considered an unacceptable social behaviour, it has quite a few surprising health benefits. Flatulence, passing gas or farting – no matter how you put it, is an essential part of digestion. Let’s discuss the stinking health benefits of letting one rip.

7 Surprising Health Benefits of Farting

1. It’s good for your colon health
Parents tell their kids not to “hold it in”. That is actually a very good advice that should be followed throughout life. It’s not good for your health to hold it in for long periods of time. It’s not a good idea to hold in gas if you have other digestive issues as that can be the potential cause of medical troubles for your colon.

2. It reduces bloating
Unpassed gas may play a big role in making you feel bloated, especially after a big meal. Bloating is usually a feeling of swelling, which isn’t dangerous in most situations. However, bloating due to a buildup of gas is a discomfort more than anything else. Basically, let it go.

3. Early warning system
There’s no escaping a bodily function such as farting. You might be surprised to know that doctors can predict major health issues early from your gas. Increased farting frequency, extreme smells and unusual gas pains can be early symptoms of health conditions such as lactose intolerance, and even as extreme as colon cancer.

4. The smell is good for you
No, we are not kidding. Smelling farts can actually be healthy for you. Studies have shown that hydrogen sulphide, a compound we produce in small quantities in our gas, might actually save us from later illnesses. This gas smells like a “rotten egg” and may prevent strokes and heart diseases by staving off cell damage.

My gross with Buhari would be, on him hearing this, would he take a decisive action against those undermining the nation's interest and authority at the expense of all.
you answer is as good as mine. Nigeria don't for now need a listening leader but a decisive one, who knows it's onion and never to run a government of me and my cronies. EOD.

Her parents shelter her, pay some of her school fees, although sometime late. I help out too. I'm like an extension of her parents and like I typed before, I did those things out of love, knowing that i have helped even total strangers financially, that is humanity.

I reasoned with your comment and something else came to my mind. Maybe i can leave the laundry business for her to run while I come around to supervise from time to time, then I move back to Lagos to go look for a more permanent job. I'm a health professional btw. Truth be told, she has pleaded with me in the past, not to relocate until she gets to 600l, that I'm a very supportive part of her life and that I motivate her. We do care about each other and even if she ends up with someone else, I'll still be happy I was part of her life, although we ain't even from the same tribe. Thanks bro for your advice.
she would be shattered if you leave her from the look of things. it shows or seems like the while thing is real. this thing you both are having is living and is depending on the breath you guys are giving it, please don't kill it.
don't leave the business to her, try discover other value added service that can tag along she might be managing from within that she is doing there it will reduce the dependency, increase you guys finance and you would only realise and end up merging force to break bounds,
I see you guys achieving more together than splitting.

Thanks bro.. beauty never was the attraction, I'm a sapiosexual. That said, she has a good heart, the only difficult thing is that both her parents are alive and she's this dependent on me. I once raised that issue about her parents not doing enough in her life and she cried bitterly. It made me feel bad, like I was reminding her of where she's coming from.
you are really not coming straight(you kept mentioning her both parents, this alone betrayed your intent)!?
is adding any value or not? that you didn't mention.
all you have to do is sit her down and talk it all over. make her see reasons with you for the good of you both.
it is all about cutting the down expenses to be able to achieve some greater things. sure she does have a listening ear and would do understand!? (you alone can answer this.)
if you are married to her already, you came close to financial challenges sure divorce won't make an option.
nothing stops you from ending the relationship but from expression you might not be happy with yourself. that in its entirety is bad, who ever you end up with might keep bringing her memory.
an heart to heart talk would sure proffer a solution. this is time to help her discover herself, what other things she offer the society that would add value and increase her finances.
if it is okay by you she might source for clients do the service and own the money. it's for you both to bring out the best of each other and sit yourselves down some days to reminisce over the thick and thin that had a happy ending.
