We may have our differences and disagreements especially on matters concerning politics, but every tribe in nigeria is made up of wonderful people and not too wonderful people as well. So dont make blanket statements on a tribe.

Who is "they"? You think Yorubas are without political clout and rights in Nigeria like IPOB-stained Igbos? The North knows that a strategy of monopolising power because of their alleged superior electorate population will cause discontent that will be bad for business - their business specifically since they are the most dependent on having power or being close to it.

This is why many Northerners are now coming out and warning their kinsmen to support Yoruba Presidency or prepare for a backlash that will surely come since any attempt at monopolising power will show the very cosmopolitan and pragmatic Yorubas , very loyal to helping the North lead, to chart another course forward. The North will be viewed as ingrates if they tow this path.

Unlike Igbos, Yorubas are not empty barrels and we know our worth to Nigeria beyond conducting ourselves in a loud yet impotent manner. This is when Nigeria will know Yorubas can be more insular than the China that built a wall to develop from inside and then outward in the past.

All Yorubas need to see is that the North is without honour and, going into the future, is dedicated to using her so-called superior number to remain unassailable supreme leaders of Nigeria. We will take it from there and truncate that unlike others who only know to make fake noise. You forget PDP were set to rule for 60 years, as the unassailable ruling Party, till mainly Yoruba players showed the skill and vision to deliver the APC merger that went on to thwart the monopoly of the PDP?
