1) The definitions of skyscrapers varies with time, especially as building Technology advance.

2) At the start of construction in the 1950s, Cocoa House was designed to be the tallest building in Africa. However, the Marborogh building which was finished in 1959 in Cairo became the tallest and when Cocoa House was commissioned in 1964, it became the tallest in Sub-Saharan Africa. (Egypt is not part of Sub-Saharan Africa).
There were other tall buildings, even in Nigeria by 1964 but they didn't meet the prevailing definition of sky scrappers at the time.

the north with abuja, kano and kaduna is by far the most developed part of nigeria. the only city the west has is lagos and it currently tops most negative city indices. however i repeat my call on the west to seek their own independence if u are confident u can go it alone. the igbos will support u whole heartedly. till then, lagos belongs to those living in it...including non yorubas and is therefore not a yoruba built city

The Biafran Civil war wasn't a Yoruba Vs Igbo inter-tribal war.
There were several tribes involved in both Nigeria and Biafra, not a tribal war against igbos.


If you think you need other Nigerians to achieve Biafra, you wouldn't have supported Kanu/IPOB in their propaganda of 'Jubrin from Sudan' and insulting /preaching hatred against the Yorubas.

in 1967 the igbo leadership asked the west to remain neutral...the west accepted...and announced their neutrality at first and then awolowo was made vp and promised presidency and boom he joined the war on the federal side. if you guys are so confident of ur wealth as a region on its own then the normal thing would be to leave this union. but seems u knw u cant really be on ur own. isnt it?

south west is not the most developed part of nigeria by any stretch of the imagination. That would be the north. While lagos is always topping the list of worst cities in the world, abuja has the distinction of fasted growing city in the world. Apart from lagos, every other state in west is like south east or worst...ibadan is as dirty as aba. Then again the north has kano and if u ever been to kaduna...u will stop being silly.

Yoruba are the most educated in Nigeria, this is a fact NO one can change. The reason why you are doubting is because most Igbos celebrate their own too much online which gives a false positive scenario.

Let me take you down the memory lane why the Yorubas will always lead in the game of education and exposure in Nigeria

As far back as 1954, Awolowo had a target and he predicted the future well, he took a major step to make sure we have free education in the western region. He spent almost 30-42% of the recurrent budget on education. This spending takes a lot of gamble because it got to some point that his comrades started questioning him for spending the Farmers proceeds on education. He also made sure a lot of girls are enrolled in schools because most parents then are reluctant to send girls to school.

He was able to enrol almost 1,131,000 student in primary school as far back as 1961, when other region are still focusing on just agriculture with little incentive for mass education.

Even your kinsmen also benefited from the western region benevolence because he made sure he catered for everyone regardless of tribes.

The current Corp of governors in the Southwest are a great disgrace to the labor of our heroes past, they are part of the people that slowed down the growth coz if not that you guys should not have the mind to even compare the Yorubas with any other tribe in terms of education penetration.

Being educated is not just saying you have the best student in waec or Jamb alone, it encompasses a whole lot if you’re looking at it as a whole.
