I am quite shocked by the level ignorance displayed here on this thread. Selling food or gift items on a short haul flight is not a new thing. All short haul flights in the western world have been doing this for last 7 to 10 years ever since the introduction low cost airlines. Selling food on short haul flight is seen as another way increasing revenue on the already cheap flight. You are under no obligation to purchase food items

My guy, this is Nigeria. It may work out there, but here is Nigeria. Please be reminded of that.

Crime in the real sense is bad, let every tribe desist from it. Those guys can be more productive with their lives. If the law can kill them, let it happen. They have no mercy on innocent people with decent income.
