hollandis:At times I doubt if you've watched Kaita from '2005 up till now. As per the Colombia game, he was played in an unfamiliar outside-right position and he still did credibly well. Even Lagerback admitted as much. http://www.kickoff.com/news/15757/kaita-wins-lagerback-praise.php Kaita wins Lagerback praise Posted: 2010-05-31 11:30 Sani Kaita earned glowing praise from Nigeria boss Lars Lagerback after excelling in an unusual right wing position in the Super Eagles 1-1 draw against Colombia on Sunday night. Kaita was deployed on the right wing by and was largely instrumental in maintaining team shape and balance despite being a natural defensive midfielder. It was a display that left Lagerback impressed. "He was my man of the match," the Swede said. "He was absolutely outstanding and I think he was miles ahead of everybody." Lars, was however, less pleased with the manner of the Super Eagles giving up a 12th minute goal to Carlos Valdes. "It is a calamity when a player loses a 1v1. I was not happy with the goal, but we have to work harder on that." Overall though, the Swede was happy to see improvements. "This is a big improvement from the last game. I have only trained this team for seven times, and they have shown good quality. "I think they will improve more, and the team will do better when they play more." Lagerback will name his final 23-man squad later on Monday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .THE END. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Though I disagree with Lagerback on Kaita's performance been outstanding (the outstanding players were Odiah and Haruna IMO), Kaita definitely had an above average performance against Colombia. People like you and 12large should stick to discussing soccer at the vendor's stand. Rubbish! Leaves the thread wondering if peeps really expect Kaita to transform overnight into an explosive winger like Arjen Robben. |
She was murdered. . .E0D! |
The OP probably just coped his N82. That's why he's so freaked and excited. |

hollandis:Sanni Kaita's inclusion is on quota system? Better leave that thing you're smoking. |
It's been confirmed. NFF lied about Anichebe being injured. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-455376.0.html He was dropped due to NFF politicking! |

Theo Walcott come sabi play ball? The guy just be like Pius Ikedia. . .na only to run parallel to line, reach corner flag & cross im sabi. I'm not surprised by his ommission. |
Heard the pilots said the plane could still fly but Lulu put his foot down and said he would not risk the life of the players. Good one by Lulu! |
Funny enough I think South Africa will have the best performance by an African team. I've watched them play and there is a sort of telepathy and understanding between their players that I haven't seen in the other African teams. Those guys dey tap soccer abeg. . .I tip them to qualify from their so called group of death. |
Eastbay:It's what any right thinking coach would do. Still I tip Lakers to take it though it'll go down to the last game. |
Eastbay:True but don't forget Phil Jackson is the special one of Basketball (at least in the NBA). Moreover Kobe & Gasol have this camaraderieship, understanding & synergy that has worked wonders for the Lakers this season. |
Gabry:Seems to me like he desperately needs something from you. Why not send him one of your styrofoam stuffed teddies? I'm sure he'd appreciate that and stop sending you PM's saying you've forgotten him.Rubbish! |

I don't believe all these injury stories been bandied around to explain the dropping of certain players. Onyekachi Apam - I agree he was injured. Victor Anichebe - How come we didn't hear he was injured until after he was dropped? Did he cop his injury between tuesday and now? In the coming days the player will come out and reveal the truth. Ikechukwu Uche - the guy had recovered from his injury and had even featured for his club so I refuse to believe he was dropped due to injury. Kanu and Utaka's condition is worse than any injury. Their case be like paralysed patient confined to wheel chairs. They're dead logs of wood. Those guys should never have made the team. I'm extremely dissapointed in Lagerback for including those two players and dropping Anichebe and Ike Uche. |
lagerback was pressurized and arm-twisted into taking kanu and utaka. |
I'm tipping L.A Lakers to win cos of Phil Jackson. |
He was okay against Colombia. Lets see how he performs against North Korea. |
I'm pissed too. Imagine selecting Kanu & Utaka and dropping Ikechukwu Uche and Anichebe. I don't believe the silly excuse of injury been bandied around for the dropping of these players. Lagerback na MUMU I swear. |
Muma-gee should be in her 30's. Anything contrary to that na big lie. |
