I was never sold on Le Guen and I'm glad he won't be taking the job. Frankly, I see all these oyinbo coaches (Westerhoff excluded) as opportunists who only come to eat when food is done. They only like handling teams at major tournaments and don't want to go through the long arduous task of qualifiers. Had it been we have qualified for the World Cup already, Le Guen will accept the job without any conditions. The notable Brit coaches with their enormous pride & disdain for Africa wouldn't touch the Super Eagles by a mile but Glenn Hoddles came here to hussle for the Job, be interviewed & started whining when he lost out. Lagerback wanted the job so bad he came with a dossier of Nigerian players & did a Power Point presentation that wowed the NFF board. At the end of the day, his squad & team selection was shiiite. I'll rather we use our own. Let's leave Salisu Yusuf and Amakapabo to do the job. Already, I am impressed by their Player Invitations. They're Nigerians and there is that extra motivation for them to succeed. #SalisuYusuf #ImamaAmakapabo |
Movies watched over the last 2 weeks _______________________________________________________ Batman v Superman - Dawn of Justice (2016) Extended Ultimate Edition - This version supposedly filled in the gaps and made the plot more coherent still I was disappointed and extremely dissatisfied at the end. The story was all over the place, and the movie was poorly paced. It alternated between boring & interesting. 5.5/10 is me being generous. Escobar Paradise Lost (2014) - on a young Canadian man & his relationship with the Colombian Drug KingPin, Pablo Escobar days before he went into Prison. Started slowly but picked up and was interesting till the end. 7/10 Divergent (2014) - 5/10. Insurgent (2015) - 4.5/10. The Divergent Series - Allegiant (2016) - 3.5/10 |
All that glitters is not gold. We should be circumspect and not swallow everything we're told privately and posted here hook, line and sinker. #DeliberatelyCryptic. |
@ acunon, I know the exchange rate has impacted negatively on your business but your prices have become something else o. The price increase of your London Used TVs is even more than that of brand new TVs. Wetin dey happen? |
Did she file a claim of "unauthorized Payment" against Mikky? I believe she did cos Mikky provided screenshot evidence (his response to the PayPal query) and she hasn't refuted the allegation. What she did by filing that claim was to call Mikky a fraudster/criminal and deny she had any transactions with him. Also, she displayed criminal intent & behaviour by trying to get her funds back through the back door using a false claim. Her action was wicked, abominable and should be condemned in the strongest terms by everyone, no mincing of words. With her action she has lost the consideration Mikky could have given her and the right to NLDers' goodwill. I post as semid4lyfe. |
Two TVs purchased from Acunon so far, a LG 42" Plasma TV and a Samsung 48" 3D Smart TV The LG 42" Plasma TV was purchased August 2015 while the Samsung 48" Smart 3D LED TV was gotten January 2016. Till date, no issues and now I'm prepping to get a third. I hold brief for no one (yeah right), I'm just stating my experience. I digress_________________________________________ Most dealers of used electronics (that will give warranty) give a warranty of 1 month. A few dealers will give 3 months warranty and they'll do so with great reluctance. Most do not even give at all. They'll tell u, "oga u don test this thing tire nah, nothing do am, carry am go use, e go last for u" ![]() If u received your "fairly" used TV in undamaged & perfect working condition and you've used it for at least 3 months, I think it'd be somewhat unfair to hold Acunon responsible for any issues that crop up afterwards. It's electronics, damn it! Fuse fit blow, IC fit burn, wire fit loose. . .and so on. Anything fit happen at anytime Lastly, protect your TV from current surge and fluctuations. Use stabilizers/Voltage Regulator and Power Surge Protectors with the TV and always switch off/pull out completely from the socket/extension when not in use. The Remote ONLY puts the TV on Standby. |
Icon4s:I still be mod, wait make I check, lol. I've watched him severally and his overall game needs some improvement. |
Seems I'm the only one who thinks Iheanacho is overhyped. . . . . |

Any fix/tweaks for the battery draining issue on Windows 10? |
The group is as tough for Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia as it is for Nigeria. |
prof800:Yeah, was surprised to see him too. . . |
Misconduct (2016) - a crime-drama thriller starring Josh Duhamel, Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins. 8/10 |
War Room (2015) 583mb of data and 2 hours of my life wasted. Weak storyline, poor dialogue, terrible acting and lame attempts at humour. If you've got issues in your marriage, do not talk them over with your partner. Just clean out your closet, pin your prayer requests on the wall, pray and Baba God will resolve the issues exactly the way you want. That's the message this film propagates. It's been long I was this irritated by a movie. 2/10. |
Eye in the Sky (2015) - a very interesting and well made movie but unrealistic in it's portrayal of the decision making process. In real life, the drone pilot will not disobey a direct order from a commanding officer and the decision makers at the top will not dilly-dally on the strike cos a civilian entered the kill zone. 7.5/10 |

Juwon Oshaniwan ought to be on the list. I'm wondering when Nigerians will realise Elderson Echejiele is shiiiiit. |
OBAOBONA > > I'm still wondering what he went down for cos he got up by himself and didn't need medical attention. He was the root cause of the equalizer by Egypt. |
Leon Balogun √ Kenneth Omeruo √ Efe Ambrose √ Godfrey Obaobona √ Chidozie Awaziem √ William Troost-Ekong × Pathetic, Calamitous and a sorry excuse for a defender. Should never have dorned the green-white-green. |
An interesting read, following. . . . . |
aieromon:Na format him use. * Guy needs money urgently and it ain't forthcoming . . . * He puts up some items for sale (without any real intention of selling the items) * Someone pays for the items * Seller starts stalling, dilly-dallying & giving excuses while he utilizes the money to resolve his immediate problem. * Then he (the seller) refunds him at a later date when he's financially buoyant (probably when salary is paid) Something like this played out with a friend who purchased something via Kaymu. I got involved, tracked a relative of the seller and it emerged the seller was not the owner of the item, and was never authorised to sell the item. He just used it raise quick cash. It's the new con. |
Will post an ultimate TV buying guide to guide other prospective & intending buyers. Well researched, from personal experience and experience garnered from seeing/viewing TVs in lots of showrooms. Keep it locked ![]() |

Hmmmm. . .this is coming rather late but then it's better late than never and it'd be a disservice to Acunon and others if I don't post a feedback so here goes > > > I got a 2014 Samsung UE48H6400 Smart 3D TV from Acunon not too long ago. (Mid-January). TV cost me 170k but it was money well spent as it was BNIB (Brand-New-In-Box) and came with the complete accessories (2 pair of 3D glasses, Smart Remote, Magic Remote, Star-shaped base stand, TV Plug Cable, wire packer & manual) keeping in mind that the brand new sells for 220-250k in the shop while London-used of it with all the listed accessories would have cost me about 150k. Waybill and delivery to Abakaliki was smooth and without hassles. TV was dropped with the Haulage Company on Friday evening and on early Monday afternoon, I got a call as expected to come pick up the TV. * The TV runs a Quad core processor for better multitasking, faster interaction/operation and generally better all round performance. √ * It has 4 HDMI, 3 USB, 1 Optical Audio Port and other standard connection options √ * Full HD 1920 × 1080 resolution, stunning picture quality with vibrant, sharp & deep colours. √ * Excellent Multimedia playback capability as it plays all video file formats I have thrown at it, even HEVC x265 encoded mkv files √ * Screen Mirroring, Voice Control & Recognition √ * Smart Menu & Apps √ * Firmware Support √ (Already downloaded & updated the TV offline to the latest firmware of November 18 2015 on Samsung Website) I have used the TV for a while and now I know why it was highly recommended by all the TV review sites from techradar, digitalversus, hdtvtest, trustedreviews, whathifi, avforum etc and rated the Best Value for Money TV of 2014. Thanks @ Acunon for introducing me to the world of smart TVs and giving me such a good deal. Thanks for the tilting wall mount too. It's 2 down and 2 more to go. We still get unfinished business. . . . @ Octavo, I throway salute. You paved the way and gave me & others the impetus to patronise acunon. Keep on keeping on. . . . . @ Eghosa1, it was a brief meeting pool-side but I feel I've known you all my life. You made this possible. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule and being my eyes on the ground & on-the-spot assessor. @ Akerekoroabijawara, I hope I got that right. I sought your advice and you were very emphatic when u said "BUY IT". Although I still dey soak garri, thanks! ![]() @ Google, through you I have been to so many TV websites, viewed technical specifications, read so many reviews and assimilated so much info on Smart TVs I consider myself an expert now. Your help was invaluable. Final word, I leave you with a quote from Octavo. . ."LG na Learner for where Samsung dey" cc: aieromon, Initialize, princetom1, ebrahym |
Tuneday01:You can get the e-manual of your TV model from Samsung website and read the relevant section |
