Time of match? |
acunon:So you're saying OLED and the more recent TV displays that were made after LEDs are not susceptible to the screen issues? |
donhils:Not true, phone calls can be made for as long as one wants to. Call quality is very good. It's clear, loud & audible and has enough bass. There is no static sound in the background either. I have made a direct comparison of the phone call quality & audibility with Tecno Phantom A+, Tecno Y5 and Elephone G5, all of which have decent call quality and the XRN2 is better. I have suffered through phones with low, metallic, wispy call quality like Leagoo Lead 1 & Doogee DG350 so I know what I'm saying. Your description fits the call quality of Infinix Hot Note/Hot Note Pro which is loud but metallic and lacks bass. |
donhils:Better behave or this time, I'll give you a forum wide ban and for a longer period too Also, take note of RULE 19 - Don't create a new account when banned for breaking a rule. If you do, make sure we don't find out. You can always open new accounts but I'll ban them as soon as I see 'em (and you stand the risk of having your primary account banned till TKC) Eventually, you'll get frustrated and tired of the cycle of creating new usernames and having them banned almost immediately. Believe me, I've been there. Surely, nothing can be easier than exhibiting decorum and abiding by the rules of the forum? Be good bro. . . . With luv Semid4lyfe |
bigtt76:Same here, I hate the dimension of it's 8 inches. I'll have preferred it had less length and more breadth. Tecno should have stuck to the dimensions of its previous 8" tablets. Also, its front facing speakers above and below the screen is a turn off for me. It makes it looks cheap and "unpremium" and reminds me of the transistor radios mallams carry about. Though, I admit the speakers are in the right position for the best sound output. |
Just finished flashing the latest ROM, still exploring. .. . . . ![]() |
Battery improved? , that's good! Will download @ midnight and do the flashing tomorrow. |
Gabbyswit:Sure, it's IMEI can be tweaked to use GLO bis Meanwhile, has anyone actually flashed the latest Xiaomi MIUI 7 multilalanguae ROM of 24/9/2015 (5.9.24)? |
I have had this phone for about a month but I never used it cos I hated the white back cover and was waiting for the black replacement back cover I ordered to arrive. That came in yesterday so I unboxed the phone and began tweaking for optimum performance. First thing I did was flash the Xiaomi.eu MIUI 7 multilanguage ROM of 18/9/2015. (Thanks to Aieromon for the download links and walking me through the steps on whatsapp). I used the inbuilt MI recovery in flashing the ROM and it went well. I installed TWRP recovery, SuperSU & Nova Launcher and it's been smooth sailing since then. MIUI has a learning/adaptation curve and it takes some getting used to (coming from a phone background of Tecno Phantom A+, Samsung Galaxy S4, Leagoo Lead 1, Elephone G5 & Cubot s200) but it's cool and I'm not complaining. Never used the phone out of the box so I never experienced the issues a few have reported here. I inserted my SIMS, SDcard and installed apps into the phone for the first time yesterday after flashing the MIUI 7 Multi language ROM. * Battery life is pretty decent, it charges fast and it holds it charge well in use. * Screen is fast & responsive, display is fantastic with good colour reproduction (MIUI has options to customize this to your taste/needs) * Camera is very good & I'm impressed with its output * Call quality is good, loud, has enough bass and doesn't sound hollow. * Speaker is fairly loud and produces rich sound. Sound quality with earphones is even better & with more customizable options What else, what else. . . . . . . . .nothing jare ![]() FINAL WORD: I love MIUI 7 and I love my Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. cc: Initialize, aieromon, princetom1, royruky, donhils |
Seyi Shay don spoil show. Why she come dey lip sync? Shioor! |
Wow! That Ibru woman just killed it. |
mjay: Yes, feedback is very important and it annoys me when people transact business and don't drop feedback to guide other prospective buyers. I never took the OP serious until octavo posted a feedback. . . .and I'm pretty sure some Nairalanders had bought from him before octavo |
Alaba Int'l Market is not a place for the faint hearted. Neither is it a place for one to test his street smartness and as such I wasn't going to go there without making "proper arrangements". Now, I wanted to buy a wall mounted TV to replace the 26" Ultra Slim Flatscreen Tube TV my old man used in his retirement abode but I was budget conscious and didn't want to spend so much. So I got in touch with Acunon after doing some due diligence, background and authenticity checks on him and fixed a date to visit his shop at Alaba Int'l Market. (Also, I wanted to deal with a Nairalander so I could have recourse to this platform "in case of incasity" )On the D-Day, I made the trip to Alaba, met with Acunon who gave me a sound orientation on the workings of the market, the different brands, models & display technologies of TVs and at the end of the day, I went home with a LG 42" HD Plasma TV (2012 model). The TV is of the Razor Frame Technology series and is thin with extremely narrow bezels. The TV has multiple connection ports (Side Connections - USB 2.0 Input, AV Input, HDMI/DVI Input & Rear Connections - HDMI input, Component Input, RF Input, AV In, Digital Audio Output, HDMI In, RGB In (PC), PC Audio In). It possesses soft touch buttons as opposed to physical buttons and has many special features too. TV has been mounted and is working fine (This is the 3rd week since its purchase). Despite being a plasma display, pictures are crisp and very clear. Total speaker output is 20W (10W + 10W). Power consumption is moderate too. Acunon is a young man who is friendly, honest and very attentive to customers, especially Nairalanders. Despite the influx of other customers into his shop that day, he never left my side and gave me 100% attention. He also chaperoned me round the market to pick up some other stuff, this despite him being temporarily "physically challenged". I couldn't have asked for better customer service and I'm glad to know him. He has transcended from being a business acquaintance to a friend as we still chat on Whatsapp from time to time. He has also become my go-to guy in Alaba for any electronic product and I have given his contact to my relatives and friends. Acunon is real fellas, I recommend him wholeheartedly and without reservation. If you need a TV and you don't wanna break the bank, "think Acunon" at Comet Star Plaza behind Saint Peter Church, Alaba International Market, Ojo. semid4lyfe (September 2015) Here's a hint, just tell him you're from Nairaland and watch him roll out the red carpet and give you a good deal ![]() cc: OCTAVO, princetom1, reaky |

Reason For Selling Trying to raise some bucks and its easily one of my most disposable and "can do without" gadgets being that I own a Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 smartphone. Any techie or moderately knowledgeable gadget user knows video reviews and pictures never tell the whole story. The real deal is in owning one and using it over a period of time and hence I am willing to meet any Lagos based Interested buyer to have a feel of the tablet. If you're not in Lagos, you can have someone meet me for an on-the-spot assessment of the tablet. Meanwhile, here are some pics for your viewing pleasure. Pictures uploaded on the other thread in the Phone/Internet Market Section too. https://www.nairaland.com/2579480/used-cube-talk-9x-octacore |

Hi Y'all My name is SEMID4LYFE I've got a fairly & neatly used Cube Talk 9x Tablet for sale. It's the 2gb ram/32gb rom black version. Asking Price is N35,000 (Thirty Five Thousand Naira) only. Tablet is rooted and has a custom rom installed so its full android functionality has been optimized and unleashed. There are no issues, bugs or compatibility problems and all apps run fluidly. App installation space is a massive 4gb so running out of app installation space is a non issue. With it's 10,000mah battery (I'm yet to see a tab with more battery juice), battery longevity is very good and a full charge can last 2-3 days with moderate use. I'm in Lagos presently and can meet with seriously interested buyers to see and have a feel of the tablet so you know exactly what you're getting. **Can't soil my good name & hard earned reputation on this forum** I'm selling with the Luxurious Sleep/Wake Magnetic Case, the already attached screen protector and sim tray ejector pin. Seriously interested buyers can reach me via Call, SMS and Whatsapp XXXXXXXXXXX I reserve my remaining comments to the detailed specifications below: Model: Cube Talk 9x Processor CPU: MediaTek MTK8392T, Cortex A7 Octa Core GPU: Mali-450 700MHz Operation System: Android 4.4.2 KitKat RAM: 2GB (DDR 3) ROM 32GB Nand Flash, supports external micro SD card up to 32GB Thickness: 7mm Thin Screen Size: 9.7 Inch Screen: 9.7 inch Retina IPS OGS Capacitive Multi-touch Screen, Corning Gorilla Glass Display: Retina IPS One Glass Solution Screen Resolution: 2048 x 153, 326PPI, 16 million colours Camera: Back VO 8.0 megapixel with Auto Focus and LED Flash, F2.0 & Front 2.0 megapixel Network: Single Simcard, Single Standby , 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz , 3G: WCDMA 900/2100 MHz + TD-SCDMA 1880-1920/2010-2025MHz Bluetooth: 4 .0 with EDR Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, supports Wi-Fi hotspot Micro USB: 2.0 FM: Yes. build-in GPS: Yes. build-in Gravity Sensor: Yes Google Play : Yes Flash: Support Flash 11.1 Earphone Interface: 3.5mm Email and Browser : Yes, built in Speaker: AAC Battery: 4.35V 10000mah Li-ion Battery Ebook: UMD, TXT, PDF, HTML, RTF, FB2… Video: 1080P, AVI/MOV/MP4/RMVB/FLV/MKV… Music: MP3/WMA/WAV/APE/AAC/FLAC/OGG Ports: 1 x 3.5mm Earphone port, 1 x Micro USB /Charging port, 1 x TF card slot, 1 x Sim Card Slot |
