The moment I fell in love with Onyeka Onwenu.

I had the Everly Brothers version of this song (I believe that's the original) and I absolutely loved it. So, for anyone to make a cover version of the song that is as good as the original. . .that person must be really special.

So the NTA showed a competition that was staged in the UK (c1981) and an unknown Nigerian performed this song. I was blown away. In fact, I think I prefer the tempo and beat of Onyeka's version. That was Onyeka's first hit.

Unfortunately her version is not online (God bless Classic FM for playing it once in a while). Here's the Everly Brothers' version.

He would have used the basic medical knowledge he had, and God help the person that has a more complicated problem that is an emergency; cos he'll either let the person die and say"am sorry, he didn't make it", or he'll find a way to shift the responsibility to someone else.

People like that usually develop their intelligence more in line with the fraud and how to circumvent the system so they won't be caught. They will commit all their mind power to this instead of doing the honest thing.

This is one of the reasons why we are where we are.

More than forgery, many especially from the North actually pay for their certificates. They just show up for exams and some classes ( if they have to ) but the rest is tied up and dusted. Some of them you hear the way they speak and see their bio, you can only get confused.

Same gesture should be extended to,politicians,who gets kicked out from office by court. They should return all the money they earned while fraudulently in office and the ones they looted.

Saw this yesterday on STV news. The guy doesn't realise the kind of soup he's in. He was still boasting of being the leader of NMA federal level and had led many govt expeditions.

Its as if he thinks all that should cover up for his sin of forgery.

Anyway, many of those in govt functionaries don't have genuine, worked for, certificates. Most of them are forged or payed for.

Maybe not embezzle. She didn't want to admit that the money was not approved cause that would make her culpable.

But with the governors starting to make a meal of what they know already, I'm sure she saw where this was going and decided to come out before hand.

And beyond that I think part of the reason that the governors have not really gone full steam on this is the fact that they knew where the money went - on paper, but cannot trust NOI and by extention GEJ on the actual use of it.

NOI has been mouthing that the governor's FIN SECs were there but the governors insisted that they didn't know about such appropriation.

The link here is that they wanted NOI to admit that the money was NOT approved by the FAAC and hence the governor's reps didn't need to inform them of the eventual use.

I'm sure they will start tightening the noose on her from here.

I think the most important part of this piece that may nail NOI is the fact the money she took to fund the fuel subsidy out of the ECA account was not approved by the FAAC. She has MISSAPROPRIATED or ( if proven to have not used the money for the purpose she outlined) probably EMBEZZLED that money.

On one hand, NNPC also claimed to have deducted money for PMS subsidy and on the other Hand, GEJ apparently did authorize money to be withdrawn from the ECA account for exactly the same thing.

We also heard claims of how the money was withdrawn to fund Sure P or whatever
