After 13 weeks of waiting, it's a refusal for me based on purpose of visit. Kinda suspected due to my study gap of 10yrs but i was hoping my well written SOP will convince the immigration officer.

Im not gonna bother to reapply, going with my plan B to get a masters in d UK and then apply for EE in 2yrs.

This is true.

Canada Visa application is quite frustrating and after numerous attempts to try and understand how they work/operate, they come up with another new trick that leaves us all with even more questions.

I wasn't trying to get on anyone's nerve. I'm too hungry to get on my own nerve.

Let me get to my point. A lot of us have been on this thread since Part 13 (some maybe way before that) while a number are new here. For some of us that might know a thing or two, and have seen numerous visa approvals and denials, we should thread with caution in putting things in black and white here. The reason is not only to rightfully advice people asking the questions but to also try and not mislead the people that will be reading the thread in the nearest future.

Makano also made a lot of sense....no matter of fund, home tie, employment letter, land documents can save you if a VO think you are not worthy.

700k too much sef, I have seen on this thread, Part 12 or 13, cant remember now. The person had 1k as balance and got his Visa. So funny but true. Sometimes I believe this VOs just want applicants to be sincere and true.

Oga, I am giving my info as head office staff from where accounts are getting confirmed. I wouldn't know the scenario of your brother and so I might not be able to comment on that.

To everyone waiting for over 3 months now for a decision... kindly comment where your application is been processed from. I am thinking the Lagos office is delaying most of the visa applications (My thought though).

@ SenatorKolade, the processing time as at when u submitted may not be the processing time that your application would be processed. Processing time stated by CIC is historical not futuristic...............meaning that as at when u submitted, it took CIC an average of 9weeks to complete 80% of application submitted....going forward, if more applications are received and the man power to handle the application is not also increasing, it will take longer time to process.


Processing Time updated on 5th of October is 14weeks as at October 2nd 2018...............working backwards; 14weeks before october 2, 2018..........is June 26, 2018.............technically what this means is that CIC is currently and officially processing applications that completed biometrics before June 26, 2018. However, there are outliers to this.

Considering that your application has not exceeded the 14weeks currently stated...........you may not get a response;even if you get a response.............it will be nothing new...but same copy and paste generic mail...............as per the presentation and content of your mail, you are in order.

No need taking things personal with someone's question here...to the extent of wondering wat he/she will do wen they get to canada, that's absurd!...people are different, some assimilated faster dan others, some always want direct confirmation, we understand and see things differently. "its better to ask a foolish question to know a thing than to be silent and fail "..because you have more knowledge abt something dnt give u the right to criticize a novice questions. ignore if you dnt want to answer since the question is beyound you! In recent times, we have seen paper applications lasting up to 18weeks or more before a decision is made. we have also seen online applications lasting within the processing times and some others falling outside the processing time.

CIC are good psychologist and philosophers;they have decided to make it impossible for us to fully decipher their format.

In any case,your circumstance will determine which route to take; an ardent traveller who may require his international passport for frequent trips will opt for online route; but where there is no need for the passport, paper route can be recommended.

In all package a good application and baptise it with prayers of favor; whether paper or online the goal is get an approval.

If you have been reading up this thread from the previous part, you would answer this question urself. Cos of recent on this part, someone just said he/she had applied since May (Online) and havnt gotten a response, while someone who applied August (Paper) had gotten a response(Refusal). So I am sure u knw the route to take, the choice is urs. Peace.

Nah you bring the idea of ministry of education and foreign affairs so go ahead and do it, don’t forget to authenticate your statement of account and recommendation letter at ministry of finance and again take your affidavit of support to the chief judge of Nigeria to authenticate it. Am pretty sure this your question can be answered by you ONLY.
Stop complicating yourself and do the normal process we are doing.

Oh wow, I never knew I shouldnt write them. I just dont know why I need an urgent decision - though my session is for the winter semester. But Please what is the faster route that I should have followed?

That’s the least thing to worry about because every bank has the format. Just tell them you need the letter and let them address it to the the Lagos Canadian embassy, I take it you are applying through the paper route.....

You will be allow to board with one way ticket if you have your tuition fee receipt full or half.

But if u never pay for your tuition I will advice you to have your return ticket.
You might not be allow to board here in 9ja without tuition payment cus of your visa duration.

It happened to me before back in 2014.
The airline check in guy don't wanna board me until I showed him my half tuition fee.

Nb: My study visa was even 18months.
Infact when I wanna book with wakanow the lady helped me to confirm from her boss even before she proceed.

He knows what he is saying that he want to leave the shithole ,some people graduated with first class and master with distinction in engineering and science field field nobody cares about them. How do you expect him not to say that when the person was given full funding including living expenses without even seeing his face when he was applying.

It is a normal thing for the Caucasians,they do things privately and alone.it is better than keeping fake friends that has no value to someone life.

We need to start asking how we nigerians and africans find ourselves in this situation.

The rich children all have dual citizenship, do you think they don't know what they are doing.let us leave the story for another time.
