blaugrana82: Exactly 20weeks already and no medical request. Only eligibility review started 10weeks ago. God pass them. It shall end in praises If your eligibility review is more than 5 weeks, order for your GCMS notes. With this, they will be jolted to make a decision on your application chap chap |

Austacus: Very true but they don't disclose the name of the VO that handles application in GCMS note Do they? So it could be possible if the application is heading back to the initial visa office (consulate) that handled the first application, they would just transfer it to the VO that was in charge of it for easy assessment. They do it for administrative convenience |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Senatorkolade: 8:47pm On Nov 05, 2018 |
Austacus: Both of you are correct! There’s a higher propensity it could go back to the same VO if the application is going to the same consulate The embassy doesn't have the luxury of another VO application when they may have just FOUR OR fewer VOs attending to applications. |

Determinedsoul: Thanks for your reply. I thought since I have been refused b4, I was wondering if they will still send my 2nd application to the initial ppl that reviewed it since my application no will be stated. So I thought it makes no difference of using a different route from the initial one I used(paper). I am afraid of uploading many papers since they said its only 4mb that's acceptable. So confused. With the little I know about embassy and consular practice, your application will definitely go to the initial VO that handled if-the same visa office to know how far you have addressed his concern. If not satisfied, he will forward it to another VO for a fair and none biased review but if he is okay, he will just send you a medical request straight away. |

042viber12: paper applications and online applications are handled by different VOs in different countries...most times Kenya handles paper while lagos or London or both handles online..so u can apply online cos most of us here did online but am not saying visa approval is guaranteed... it's a 50/50 chance...just pray u are amongst the right 50... Kenya now handles some online applications now |

Austacus: Sorry, I knew it was 9 of Nov, it was a mistake. Omo, you'd better mail them yourself. Forget third party mailing and mail them TODAY. Are you scared? There'nothing to be scared of cause 9 of Nov is like tomorrow. I suspect the embassy is holding the application till the event has passed. I don't pray for negative outcome for them sha. |

Snillous: Scared? But why? Lol. Anyway like I said earlier. It was the organiser who submitted all the application. But after the submission they notified me via email application was submitted. So I don't have the login details but only the organiser does. Many celebrities want to attend to the program even Pasuma boys application was also among and plasma fuji musician insists if his boy's visa not granted he won't attend the program in Canada. So I believe only the organiser can mail them directly from Canada. He has spent much money to promote the program and Canada gov has approved it which approval number has been sent to the embassy too. So that is why I don't want to involve in sending mail to them. Do u understand my point now? We have derailed from the purpose of this thread. Visit visa thread is there for this kind of discussion. Meanwhile, just pray. All that you have said has no meaning to these VOs. The quality of your application is the Koko vis a vis your home ties and your personal asset/financial status. The rate of Nigerian asylum seekers has really put a blow to our image in Canada and as such, they see every Nigerian seeking viss as a potential asylum seeker. It is the same Nigeria where a sports ministry sponsored about fifteen local sportsmen for an event in Canada and only seven of them came back. We are really in a mess. What they now do for a visit visa is to delay it till the event passed and refuse on purpose of visit. I pray this will not be your portion. Amen |

OFFICIALAEL: Good evening,
Sorry about the late response.
I reapplied for my visa -16th June Got my medical call up -25th October.
I booked my medical with Qlife. I was lucky to get a Family member to give me his spot because he doesn’t need medicals done urgently. I heard all the centers are booked till late December. My two cents is go there in person or try Abuja
As regards tackling travel history, I made it clearer that I have family members here that I live with and that I’ve never had a reason to leave the country to study until now.
My resumption date is for January at Lethbridge..
I use to think it’s best to book a round trip because of border inspection and what not. I’ll appreciate it if this is clarified.
Thank you I am an airline staff. If your program is less than one year, you need a return ticket but if more than one year, just buy a one-way ticket. Tickets are only valid for one year |

MosesOK40: Good day everyone. Kindly put me through on this. I hope to apply for a Canadian Study Visa (will be attending MUN). I am married and I have 2 kids. My cousin (Canadian citizen) promised to stand in as my sponsor with her bank statement for the visa application. Though we both have an agreement that she won't be sponsoring me. I'd source funds for the 1st semester fees before I leave, after which I'd rely on paying subsequent fees from whatever jobs I'm able to get once I'm issued a work permit. The challenge I have here is that I really cannot have more than 200k in my savings account, and someone was saying that as a married man, its not possible for me to get a visa while presenting documents that shows a family member is going to sponsor me. He said my marital status makes it difficult bc they'd expect me to sponsor myself. Can someone help to clarify this? This is my true situation and I'd like to learn from those who have had similar experiences. Thanks
And also, Pls is it compulsory that i pay the tuition before dropping my study visa application? I have been hearing a different opinion, that's why and I'm a lil bit confused. kindly educate me on this Anybody can sponsor you provided you show a verifiable relationship with you and a reasonable reason why she is sponsoring you. Also, the burden is you to show that your sponsor can still cater to her own family while sponsoring you. BUT YOUR QUESTION ON FAKING A SPONSOR IS NOT FOR THIS FORUM. WE CANT GIVE AN ADVICE ON BEING UNRIGHTEOUS WITH VISA APPLICATION. Yes, you are allowed to work for limited number of hours (20 hrs) a week during the school term and 40 hrs during the break but to be candid with you, it won't be enough to cater for your needs in Canada. So you need to have your funds readily available so as to be a genuine student. |

Like begging a Police officer which is somehow normal here is an additional offence in some climes since you are trying to prevent him from carrying out his duty. Na judge you suppose plead with if you do wrong, and even judge has to work within his limits.
I suggest if you want to quote laws for them before you enter their Country, you should use a lawyer.
Was the guy you "offloaded" on his way out of the Country? Yes |

jnyuwa02: This essay or brief would be appropriate for judicial review. But if reapplying, you have to respectfully appeal to the VO to favorably exercise discretion on your behalf, not argue with him or her. Understanding that VOs have enormous power in their decision making, will go along way in how one can write and effective SOP on reapplication. Good luck. White people don't look at it that way. In African context if an elderly is talking to you and you are making an eye contact with the person, you are rude but to Oyinbos, you are confidence of what you are saying. There is nothing wrong in pointing to the VO the relevant laws that might have been breached. People do make mistakes with appealing to Oyinbos. These white people are different with their thinking o. Appealing to them is like pleading guilty or looking desperate. Don't use vulgar language for them. Just analyse it to them why you think they have erred. Let me give you a scenario, I work with British and American Consular in the airport here in Lagos. On profiling a guy, the consular had a concern with a passenger and the guy was appealing to the Oyinbo to show a favourable discretion to him in a very polite way as you suggested. Do you know what the white man told me, he said Kolade, offload this man. If he is confident of his story, why asking for leniency? SO THESE VISA OFFICERS DONT LOOK AT IT THAT WAY O |

ghabrhiel10: Please good people i need your help, my gcms note just arrived and it's just stating the same generic reasons my denial letter stated too without any explanation. Please help cos I'm not understanding REPLY THEN AS FOLLOWS: The decision of the visa officer based to refuse my visa application based on the the PURPOSE OF VISIT is purely an arbitrariness which the Canadian law does not allow. Please see "Demyati v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2018 FC 701 paragraph 21 when the court ruled as follows: " "Without a doubt, visa officers need to be satisfied that the applicant will return to her/his country of origin before the expiration of the visa. That requirement permeates IRPA and its Regulations. However, conversely, our law does not allow for decisions to be made on an arbitrary basis. That is why even a standard such as that of reasonableness requires justification, transparency and intelligibility such that the reviewing court can ascertain if the decision reached falls within a range of possible, acceptable outcomes. In my view, this case lacks the kind of justification required by our law. The visa officer did not give his/her facts and evidence to support his/her position to doubt my purpose of the visit after I have clearly shown my purpose in my application and the letter addressed to him/her as an SOP. Also, I made a clear declaration in my application that the only purpose of going to Canada is to study and nothing more. I am surprised that the VO overlooked this declaration in total disregard to the court position in Cao v Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), 2010 FC 941 at para 13 [Cao], “[t]he decision to submit the applicant’s declaration is not a banal gesture. The declaration is a clear statement that the applicant understands the consequences of overstaying his welcome in Canada, and for this reason, it will not happen. As a law-abiding citizen of Nigeria and a born-again Christian/Muslim, I understand the consequence of not complying with the condition of my admission into Canada and it will not happen. I declare once again that I am a bonafide student who will definitely leave Canada after my authorized stay in Canada. (Please include a court affidavit that you will comply with your admission into Canada and that you will return at the end of your authorised stay in Canada. |

aghoghome: Hello please I need advice concerning Canada student visa refusal, I applied for myself and my child and was not given based on reasons below: Limited economic and family ties to home country. The PA has failed to satisfy me that course of studies is reasonable given the high cost of international study in Canada when weighed against the potential career/ employment benefits, the local option available for similar studies, and the applicant's personal circumstances. Base on the information provided not satisfied that the PA is a genuine student with sufficient ties to compel their departure. Applicant refused. I would like to reapply please what do u advice. Analyse to the VO some areas in your proposed course that are not included in the similar program available in Nigeria. You can get this by thoroughly going through the course contents on the school website and compare them with the local options. Also, analyse the employment and economic prospects of your course in Nigeria and also show what awaits you here in terms of job or employment with your expectation in terms of emolument that can offset the cost of your proposed course in Canada. That is the cost-benefit ratio of your proposed course. Also, show very strong ties to Nigeria. Your spouse, parents, properties or business etc that can compell you to return home |

alftdbts: Bro! Hummmm, I understand your point about this gcms thing. This is simply overemphasized and it seems like conformity to you but truth be told, a month is a long time but it is a logical path if you choose to pay the $5, it's optional like the gurus have advised on this thread. Just like everything is based on God, hardwork and luck anyone denied should decide if they need it or not but don't speak with so much confidence that it's useless or unnecessary. My own advise if you know you re interested in reapplying after a delay, order yours immediately while you in the process of packaging a second application(which can actually lag the same period you await your gcms notes), at the snap of your fingers 30 days is over.
GCMS is an opportunity for anyone ohh my brother, take advantage of it. At US embassy we get vexed
"Bro I was the denied today ohh, that small girl, that black American girl, that guy and blah blah was just typing, asked me another question and kept typing, typing, typing then he or she said sorry we can not grant you a US visa at the moment kindly reapply at some other time when your situation has changed". Then you get the blue paper with vague reasons that can't even point you in the right direction. Abi na because i no greet him or her well, or cus I stammered and didn't align my tie. So brothers and sisters that blue paper is the same white note of refusal people get via email or with returned passport, it's so generic, but the gcms is what the American VOs type, type and you will never see and they use that against you the next time you re-apply with the truth and lies that lies there-in.
Be knowledgeable, take advantage, learn and get better. It's not about who is right or wrong.
God bless this TRV FAMILY GOD BLESS YOU. |

If you want to re-apply for study permit for winter resumption, I will advise you go for paper route. Some online applications are being taken to faster Nairobi now because of some welfare or other technical issues London is having now which I hope will be resolved in the next two weeks after which those online applicants may go back to London. Who know that by the time you submit your application, London office would be back and your application may experience a delay. |

Linzo: Could you just provide a simple solution to the poster? Not insult OK. Look at the generic grounds and provide one possible solution, well I don't engage animals Somebody applied the first time, he got refused. He rushed to apply using almost the same profile with a different but similar sponsor, he was refused. If you have an analytical skill, you would have known that her failure to get the grip of the real and actual VOs refusal reasons and concerns was responsible for the second refusal. And you want us to give her a blank advice on the second generic reason to go and re-apply for the third time. HABA! WE GO SCHOOL NOW. Don't push this sister to another refusal which will not be her portion again by God's grace. |
