Wunmi10: iii) The Employee has agreed to enter into the Bond, attend and complete the training programme in Union Bank Learning Academy, Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja and continue in the employment of the Bank for a period of two (2) years after completing the training programme.

@ op You have already told us ...its union bank. I read it from this number (iii)
the fact dat they use Union Bank training ground doesnt mean its Union bank. Banks sometimes use their counterparts training grounds to impart knowledge. Im not saying u re wrong but it may not be 100 perct guaranteed

loll...until somethin drastic is done, this sort of bullshit will continue. When i saw d caption, my mind goes straight to access bank bc in recent times their staff have been dying like rats n chickens. They subject their staff to slave trade, they bully evryone, they set unrealistic targets like their counterparts in other banks, they hold meeting till 3, 4am sometimes and still expect u to resume 8am d same day, i no fit laff ooo I was with dat bank b4 God delivered me from their bondage, honestly if all the Banks employees can unite and stand against these slave masters, order their staff to downtool, lets see if they are gonna ask goats n hens to mount the cubicle to attend to customers. And to think that these are the kind of ppl that form GEJ's think tank, I dont want to say this Country is doomed but for how long shall we continue like this? these MDs are taking d advantage of high unemployment in d land to molest n enslave their employees...Recently a group of people petitioned the CBN Gov, Senate, International Human rights Org, Presidency, Ban-ki-moon telling them that these banks are committing crime against humanity (Stil have a copy of the petition) but nothing has been heard from them. If you see the atrocities exposed in that write-up, u will weep for this Nation esp these bankers

Saw this on a friend's page and couldnt stop the tears as they rolled down my cheeks! i only wished sm1 could just tell me it was all a dream...how did we get here for crying out loud? and i pray Mr justice would be found this time around...

GOODNIGHT PAIN...

Goodnight Pain. "thieves, thieves" he screamed, it was almost funny. Not until more voices joined the chorus as they screamed and shouted on us. We could have ran at least to save our lives, but our intentions were genuine and little did we know how the day would end. From a handful of young men shouting and throwing questions at us, it escalated to a crowd of angry mob. There was no way we could escape this one, so we calmed down. They pushed us around and then stripped us all. These men pulled us pants down, we were more than embarrassed, the whole community watched, I recognized few faces from the crowd. Obviously they were so afraid to say "stop" then the beating started, I wished it to be just a nightmare. But it was real, these men were determined. They dropped heavy rocks on our heads, they pounded our faces with large planks, blood covered our eyes, they matched and kicked us right on our bleeding nostri
ls, we couldn't breathe.

"Bring tire" one of the men repeated, until they brought the tires. "Oh God!" We watched the crowd watch us, we raised hands of plea, we couldn't speak, Some hid, some shot videos and took pictures. there was no one to stop this. This was the point we knew it was over. We felt pain, helpless and hopeless. I thought of my siblings, I wondered how my mum would take this. She would fall apart. I begged God to hold her for me, comfort and make her strong for me, I prayed same for my friends. Then we started crying, we cried together. the tears gave us headaches. We looked up high, the sky was still. Rings of tires landed on our necks, they kept hitting us, but we were numb already. They set us ablaze. We rolled around, tried to reach for each other, I wondered who would give up first, the fire burned our bodies. it hurt, it hurt and then it hurt. But suddenly the pain stopped, Then I couldn't hear any other thing, but silence. I thanked God. the pain was over and Gods glory was revealed. Goodnight pain.

Angelahoney: Its a pity a lot of men suffer inferiority complex. I grew up in a wealthy home, I studied in UK, I have a business with a monthly turnover running into tens of millions.
My husband is struggling with a peanut salary job. I asked him to resign and work for me so that the money I pay doesn't leave the family. But he refused.
I'm very beautiful with a child and not up to 30. Some people say its because I'm richer. May be. In fact I bought him a brand new car but he prefers to drive the Tokunboh jalopy.

I would not want to mention his tribe so that the thread does not deviate. That's my side.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: A Letter To All Job Seekers by sessydoo(m): 7:37pm On Oct 04, 2012
@OP, some nice points from you but i want you to know that some coys retrench just because they are simply wicked. For instance you mentioned the Banking industry, there are so many ways u can cut cost, u either reduce salary & other benefits or lay-off. I wonder why so many big coys are quick to lay-off even when they set unrealistic targets for their staff. A more people-oriented orgs would consult wt their union and determine the best approach and in most cases people always prefer a cut in salary than laying off ppl. Its not too nice a thing to do and unfortunately the employers of labour always get away wt it because we have a moribund Union at d National level to fight for d workers. More annoying is the mode of retrenchment, in some cases they would just ask the boss to nominate 2 or 3 ppl from his dept, and dats all. God help u, u re not in ur Boss' good book....very unfortunate.

Romance › Re: Domestic Violence And Relationships by sessydoo(m): 5:54pm On Sep 26, 2012
This topic is very sensitive yet all-important especially when it relates to your faith. Our religious leaders have consistently encouraged partners to stay together irrespective of their differences, quarrels n what have you. Honestly i understand their fears, God is against divorce, what will become of your children (if any), how will society see you? can i ever re-marry? etc. As understanding as this advice is, It would not be applicable in a case of abusive partners. This is because its a matter of time b4 one of them dies (it could be by mistake or intentional), Arowolos case (that Banker) readilly comes to mind. I know of another case where an abusive husband killed his wife and on her funneral day, he strolled into the church with another woman...how will you feel if the deceased is your relative? Dead has no right and can suffer no wrong! Dont allow anyone to truncate your destiny, if you are being abused and you keep quiet you are not doing yourself any good oo, please speak up. You can seek a temporal separation from the relationship if you dont want a divorce. No one is good enuf to die for. Please wise up!

Christianity Etc › What Is In A Name??? by sessydoo(op): 5:04pm On Sep 19, 2012
Hi guys, What is in a namehuh I have seen so many people after their conversion probably to a Born again Xtian or conversion to Islam, they tend to change their names, for example Osanyintola to oluwatola, Sangobiyi to Oluwabiyi and some Jesubiyi, Oshadele to Kareem etc. Sometimes the resultant effects of these changes cannot be over-emphasized, ranging from the cost-implication, family missing link, and at times difficulty in proving your identity. I know of a guy who almost bleeped his cousin just because somehow along the line, someone has decided to change his or her name. However there are still some that maintain their identity even after conversion, at least i know a pastor called Past. Ogundele (God of Iron has arrived home...lol hope im right) Meanwhile in the western world, they dont care whatever name you bear and thats why they bear all sorts of names e.g Beans, Rice, Stone, Wood, Snake (lyn), Dick, Beer, Butcher and so on. Honestly i want mature contributions, what is in a name? Is it compulsory you change your name after conversion esp for those that consider their names not beffiting to their new religious status? Does it worth the stress? What happens if you maintain your name even after conversion? I have seen so many people that maintain their names and they are still successful both in ministry and physically. What do you think NL?

Eyah Sorry bro. They tried that style with me one day and i nearly crushed them. the first thin they normally observe is that u re probably alone in d car, they also size u up, d car u re driving, d way u re dressed, n ur looks. If u look like a ruffian or one kind agbero like them, they wont move near u. On this fateful day I also obeyed d traffic light at d popular maryland roundabt, as a gentleman dt iam only for one rough-looking twerp to move near my Car and asked me to wind them. Thank God my Car is always locked, and my car windows usually woundup. I blatantly refused, only for the "robbers" in uniform to surround my car and tryin to force their way in, on top wetin if i may ask!! wetin be my offence for cryin out loud, nothin, absolutely nothin, they were just lookin for sm1 to rob by all means. But thank God bc at this point in time the road was free and just cleared all them without even blinking, they ran after me but men omo boy escape big timeeee. So please my people make una shine ur eyes esp when u re wt these rogues called lastma
