ChiMummy, how is the stomach a sex part? ![]() |
TO reach a point where I can be truly happy and content with my position in life and impact on others. |
I spent the day eating cake (oh, i love cake), running Nairaland and trying to perfect the ideas I have for my new blog. |
My tip: You can't go wrong with a partner who thinks and behaves exactly like you. At first such a partner might not be as exciting as characters that are your exact opposite, but in the context of a long-term relationship both of you will be much happier. You'll not have many reasons to fight, and this will give you time to spend making the relatinship stronger and richer. Good luck. |
Welcome to Nairaland ![]() |
You are welcome B-) |
Well said, rikkyjen: no matter what the man does, some people will criticize. If he apologizes to IBB, they'll criticize. If he refuses to apologize, the same people will still criticize. People who do not have anything to add to this country except criticism should be ignored. If we pay attention to professional critics, we will never progress in our country. People like Nuhu Ribadu are doing something to make the country better, while his critics have done nothing except to sit down in a comfortable corner and criticize, criticize, criticize. |
Nike4Luv: How did you find the tutorials in the links above? demmy: thanks for helping her out. |
The fact is that if your host goes down, there is nothing you can do. It has happened to me before, and someone who makes the mistake of criticizing me for my host's downtime will quickly find himself unable to view or access the site. Popular websites like Google, Yahoo, Ebay and Paypal have experienced availability problems at one time or the other and they are still here! So please let's stop this Nigerian habit of criticizing and demonizing fellow Nigerians who are fighting to make progress in spite of the challenges of our system. I was treated the same way when I started Nairaland, and now we have 9000 members but those people who insisted that Nairaland was going to fail are nowhere to be found. WhoGoBuy remains a lovely website and I don't think you've told them anything they don't already know about website availability. It's just that it's easier said than done. |
I bellieve I will eventually achieve my dreams. |
Minimum wage legislation increases unemployment because affected companies will have to sack some workers in order to be able to afford the higher salaries. Is that what we need in Nigeria? So let's be careful what you we wish for. |

Open source spirit does not put food on the table. It's not wrong to explore commercial possibilities. Cheap and affordable is often better than free because it puts food on someone's table. |
Hello bricks, Welcome to Nairaland and have a lovely lovely stay! Seun. |
Hello bebee, Welcome to Nairaland! Seun. |
Merry Christmas! |
The most likely answer is no. So try another network! |
christyne:What exactly did I say to deserve that statement? |
Instead of explaining the so-called GAGUT theorem, he goes about saying that his idea has been endorsed by one person or the other knowing that we'll not have time to cross-check the facts. He's comparing himself to Einstein but Einstein did a lot to explain his theory - he did not just say "E = mc2" without telling us what E means! This is much worse than the case of Emeagwali who at least achieved one minor feat in 1989 before deciding to build a network of websites and go about singing the praises of himself. |
Sorry about that. I remember when I (almost) finished Halo 2. |
LAGOS (Reuters) - Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has side-stepped a question on whether he intends to try for a third term in 2007 elections, raising what was already a national obsession to a new level of frenzied speculation Obasanjo keeps Nigeria guessing on 3rd term plans Nigeria's government has told the United States to mind its own business over speculation that the president may stand for a third term. Nigeria hits back at US warning (actually, it was Femi Fani-Kayode who made the statement on behalf of the president and I think he's going to be scolded by Baba when he returns to Abuja. President Obasanjo does not play with his foreign friends!) |
What about those three countries makes you want to visit them? And where are you based now? |
Really, they have more talent than they need already. A Visa lottery is not a way to get the most talented people. |
Nairaland members are not scammers and so they have nothing to fear. Besides, do you think Yahoo and MSN do not store your details and forward to the US Government on request? |
I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.5 - I don't like the separate "drive your business our way" block. i think it's well-designed but unecessary, really. Why should one company have two bylines and want to push both of them on me? Remove that block of make is smaler/narrower. - I love the blue theme and your professional design, but I think the blue of the "Our Vision" text is just too light. I think you should make all the blues in your theme more 'cheerful'. And I wonder what the block of space before "about us" is for. - That's it. Well done! |
We are a nation of people that reserve enormous respect to liars and bullies. |
