Prove it! |
I envy Tom; he has the best of both worlds: dark skin and lovely hair! |
I watched it and it was a lovely comedy! What would you do if you were appointed as the first female president of Nigeria? |
I love it. Here are the wallpapers I can find and the urls to enter into your phone to get them. https://www.nairaland.com/wap/1.jpg mikebuddy.8m.net/wap/1.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/wap/3.jpg mikebuddy.8m.net/wap/3.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/wap/4.jpg mikebuddy.8m.net/wap/4.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/wap/5.jpg mikebuddy.8m.net/wap/5.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/wap/6.jpg mikebuddy.8m.net/wap/6.jpg https://www.nairaland.com/wap/77.jpg nairaland.com/wap/77.jpg |
Thanks, FOD. I was watching the award on STV and when I saw 2Face I started typing as fast as I could. Too bad I didn't have a digital camera around! |
2Face Idibia was wearing a pair of sunshades and a white suit, and he was simply introduced as "2Face (from Nigeria)" Here is the full text of his acceptance speech: "[From the stands]Yes o!" "[On stage] Yes o! Wo wo wo wo wo! I thank my father, my mother, everybody, kennis music, Nigeria. Thank you everybody for voting for me, thank you Africa, thank you Nigeria. Obligario!" I may have made a mistake or two, but I typed it just as I heard it! |
He's just trying to introduce an Islamic point of view to the forum and I support this effort 100%. Welcome, Abdurahman! |
From the News: NUC Pegs Varsity Admission to 147,000 Based on the new direction of limiting enrolment to the carrying capacity of institutions as laid down by National Universities Commission (NUC), all 75 federal, state and private universities in the country will admit no more than 147,000 candidates for the next academic year. http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=30495 (if prompted use nairaland as username and password) My question is this: what do you expect the 2 million other university admission seekers to go, especially when days when Polytechnic graduates are being marginalized in the workplace? |
She's of Asian origin! |
Based on what you've said, Layi, if I want to eat eggs for protein - and avoid cholesterol - all i need to do is boil the egg and throw away the yolk, which also happens to be the most delicious part? That's as good as saying I should not eat eggs anymore, but instead eat fish! (this is ok - I love fish anyway) |
Finally, Layi, your day has come! |
Outside of Mount Zion Faith Ministry movies, where exactly have you witnessed the effects of a blood covenant? |
For now we're just collecting the names of volunteers and storing them for future use. |
Here's the full lyrics of the song Layi has suggested: I Need You Lyrics by Marc Anthony From the day that I met you girl I knew that your love would be Everything that I ever wanted in my life From the moment you spoke my name I new everything had changed Because of you I felt my life would be complete [Refrain] Oh baby I need you For the rest of my life girl I need you To make everything right girl I love you And I’ll never deny that I need you Nothing matters but you my love And only God above Could be the one to know exactly how I feel I could die in your arms right now Knowing that you somehow Would take my soul and keep it deep inside your heart [Repeat refrain] Girl your love to me feels just like magic When you smile you have total control You have power like nothing I’ve felt before I’ve let all of my feelings show Cuz I want you to know that.. I need you I need you, for the rest of my life girl I need you, say that you’ll be my wife oh I love you, Wont you marry me marry me Oh I need you (nobody but you) Oooh I need you, for the rest of my life Oh I need you (nobody but you) Wont you marry me marry me I love you, I really need ya baby (I really need nobody but you) I need you Girl I really need… need you girl I really need you need you (I need you) Oohhh baby I love you (I love you) I need you, Girl I really need ya need ya … oh baby… Wont you marry me (I need you) Wont you marry me marry me I love you.. oohh .. I need you... (I really need nobody but you) Source: http://www.lyricsdomain.com/13/marc_anthony/i_need_you.html |
What I'm doing is that I'm allowing you to express the way you feel. We may not really understand most of what you're saying because we are too busy trying to put out our own fires, but the way you're expressing yourself shows the pain and bitterness and anger of war. Those of us who believe in God Christians, Muslims - will have your country in our prayers. The rest of us will want to know exactly how you'll like us to help you. What do you want us in Nigeria to do for you? Please tell us, because if it is within our power, we will. There is no reason to be bitter against Nigerians - we are just a giant developing country in Africa battling our own giant problems and trying to help others in the region as exemplified by our President's mission. |
Most men I know would not mind that mindset at all. ![]() The only problem is what to do if the first child is delayed for months or years, and you've made up your mind to be a full-time mom and housewife. What then? |
The animes at www.narutocentral.com are very light (about 34mb compared to 175mb for the standard downloads) |
If you're wondering what he's angry about, President Obasanjo is on a peace mission in mackjavel's country (Cot D'Ivoire): Nigeria's president has arrived in Ivory Coast to help find a new prime minister for the country. Olusegun Obasanjo, who is chairman of the African Union, will meet all the players in the Ivorian crisis. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4406190.stm LAGOS, Nov. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo, also chairman of the African Union, on Friday arrived in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, to intervene in the renewed political crisis in the west African state. During the one-day visit, Obasanjo will meet with his counterpart Laurent Gbagbo and rebel leader Gian Soro separately to discuss on the appointment of an acceptable prime minister that would help government in organizing the next elections, the official News Agency of Nigeria reported. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2005-11/04/content_3732753.htm ABIDJAN, 4 November (IRIN) - Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo flew in to Cote d'Ivoire on Friday for a whirlwind round of meetings to try to break the political deadlock over who should be the new prime minister and get the peace process moving again. http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/IRIN/2000626651ae95bdd6e40b0d210361be.htm mackjavel seems to be of the opinion that the president is not there to provide any serious help. |

Hmmm... I use the Firefox browser and when I click the "Hotel" link, it leads me to the page "http://www.thestreethawker.com/Html%5CHotel.htm" which gives the 404 error "The requested URL /Html\Hotel.htm was not found on this server." But on Internet Explorer, it works just fine. I really believe it's important to support Firefox and Opera, but let me try another review using IE. Well using IE, I don't know what to say. If the client is 'very pleased' what you have, then it's ok, since she's the one who is paying for the site. If you have any specific questions you want us to answer, that will be lovely. Thanks for submitting your site for review on Nairaland! |

fabian:Yes. And if he can't send money then he must cut the award in two and send us one half! |
That was in August. They have now decided to enforce the law. You can take my word for it (it was in a newspaper report but I've lost the clipping) |
zigzag, this is a Nigerian forum. What do you expect? Most of us are from Nigeria, even if we're living elsewhere! |
I heard about this on TV. Apparently, Access Bank has a current policy of not accepting graduates from: - Polytechnics: That is HnD holders, irrespective of skill level of experience. - State or Private Universities: Covenant University, BOWEN University, etc. - (Not SUre) Graduates without a first class or second class upper degree. So this policy of theirs has been in place before the merger, and they have built an environment with what they see as excellence. Now that they are merging with Marina and Capital International, they don't want to dilute/corrupt their team by mixing them up with those they consider as being less qualified. Therefore they've decided to apply this policy to the employees in the other banks to simplify the inevitable downsizing process following consolidation. What makes it really unfair is that some of those 'inferior graduates' who will be sent off have won Employee of the Year awards, or been rated higher than the federal university graduates whose jobs have been preserved. Their excellent performance and experience is being completely disregarded in favor of this rule. I agree that what they are doing is not the best, but if they insist on doing it they should be allowed to go ahead. My advice to those who are losing their jobs is that they should take their severance pay and try to use it to float small businesses and create jobs for the other competent HnD Holders, State and Private University graduates who have been unfairly denied of job opportunities. If the Federal University graduates won't let you work in their bank, start your own business and employ competent people like yourself to run it. So if these people are enterprising, the net effect of their dismissals can be positive for the economy. |
