CareerRe: What Do You Really Love to Do? by Seun(mod): 1:46pm On Nov 10, 2005
Ok, people, so what do you really love to do? I love to manage and be in charge of wherever I am - but at the same time I don't like having to sieze the power. I like business because you don't have to play politics to be in charge; you just have to be the owner!

I was one of those people!

But after switching the link to direct to my e-mail inbox, 6 people have fallen for it. (3 of them yesterday!)

Personally, I don't care about people's opinions - as long as you leave my future wife alone and don't try to sleep with her!

FamilyRe: My Husband Says I've Changed From the Person I Was by Seun(mod): 1:21pm On Nov 10, 2005
alheri, thanks for not taking offence at my reply. I knew it was not balanced, but that was the only way I could express what I felt at the time! Thanks fabian, for sharing the other side of the coin. I hope that other experienced people will be motivated to share.

Yes, you really do need to slow down on the church aspect since it's the more flexible option. About your husband being critical, well that sort of thing can only be changed by him. It may simply be out of frustration since he desires more of your time. Maybe it will stop when he gets to interact with you more often when you're not tired. Wishing you the very best!

Why is a snake found with pictures in it's belly? For goodness' sake, because it swallowed the pictures!

Isn't that so obvious? you don't know that snakes sometimes swallow various objects? huh

Hello alheri and Michellej, thanks for sharing.

I am single but I look forward to learning a lot from the engaged and married members of the forum. Thanks!

Nairaland GeneralRe: Outstanding Nigerians: Submit Your Nominations by Seun(mod): 12:03pm On Nov 10, 2005
elphem, you cannot reframe the topic because you did not start the topic. Why don't you nominate your own entries instead of looking for ways to disqualify other peoples' entries? sad
Nairaland GeneralRe: Lessons Learnt On Nairaland And Impact On Your Life by Seun(mod): 12:00pm On Nov 10, 2005
I have learnt to be a bit more tolerant of people's opinions. For example, I can now understand why girls are desperate to be disvirgined when they are young ... I just can't accept it!
Christianity EtcRe: Some People Believe in Evil Spirits Yet Don't Believe in God by Seun(mod): 2:00am On Nov 10, 2005
Because those people that are buying the body parts and using them in rituals also think the spirits are real. The priests are criminals and they have no qualms about kiling innocent people just to make their clients believe that what they are doing is real.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Gender Inequality: Was Feminism Just a Fad? by Seun(mod): 12:35am On Nov 10, 2005
Typical quote from a Nigerian woman:
"yo as for me, if i kinda make more than my boo, i'll cut back my hours, spend it in the spa, go shopping, invent new dishes, shoo he better make more than me, let him pamper me, spoil me, ah i'm working part-time now and i hate it

besides i like when my man is in control and takes responsibility. shoo i need to feel like a woman

after i go through hell every month, carry a baby for 9 months, learn how to cook, take care of the kids, keep the house neat , and all that good stuff. and all men do is wat sef?

then i'll now go to work 9-5 and to top it off now earn more than him. na craze

now if its cause of condition thats a different case but if i had a choice.....shoo"

Nairaland GeneralRe: Gender Inequality: Was Feminism Just a Fad? by Seun(mod): 12:03am On Nov 10, 2005
Equal opportunity makes sense to me, but equality does not. There is a saying that no two fingers are equal. Even among the men, there is no equality.

Equal opportunity makes sense, but what you're really asking for is more opportunities for women. I don't know; I don't see myself as someone who has denied women opportunities. For example, on this site, you are allowed to join whether you're a man or woman and women are treated with a little bit more attention, and yet for every 100 men we have only 43 women.

The only problem I have with Direct On PC is that none of their customers have anything good to say about them!

Are you sure that you shouldn't look for a way to obtain access to the NITEL IP Broadband service?
Nairaland GeneralRe: Gender Inequality: Was Feminism Just a Fad? by Seun(mod): 11:31pm On Nov 09, 2005
Damygurl, as a feminist, what exactly do you want? Do you want to cut off your frontware and grow a man's organ and become equal to a man, or are you simple asking for a little more respect?

That was so mean - what if someone got arrested or lynched by a mob in retaliation for the 'baby killing'?

I remember when I was in OAU-Ife. Great Ife; great!

Nairaland GeneralRe: Why are Nigerians are unique? by Seun(mod): 10:33pm On Nov 09, 2005
I think it's the desperate look in their faces, plus the accent they use when speaking. In addition, the fact that 1 out of every 4 black men or women is a Nigerian makes it even more likely that someone you suspect to be a Nigerian will turn out to be one!
