the cyber-cafe. Once again, on nairaland.com, I noticed that the 'Continue the Story' thread was not dead yet. Despite the fact that the story did not have a head or a tail, beginning or end, plot or planned chaos, people just kept posting and posting and posting and I just felt very dizzy. "I have had enough of girls", I said, "and now I need money, money, money!" |

Here's my word of wisdom for the ladies (of course they never listen to me): You can get your degree at any age: 18, 22, 26, 30, 40, 50, 60 or even 70. The institutions of higher learning generally do not discriminate against age. But you cannot get a fiance at just any age. As you grow older, it gets progressively more difficult to find the right person for you. 'The right person' is usually married by this time. If you're 20, 21, 22 please face your studies and don't bother about relationships. Guys will still be around for a while. But if you're 25, 26, 27, 28 ... please realise that the world won't be at your feet forever as far as finding a mate is concerned. So, Jummy, the idea that a young lady who wants to go into relationships has her 'priorities' wrong is a dangerous idea. The world (Nigeria included) is full of beautiful, intelligent, accomplished 30-something year old career women who are unhappy because, after each day's work, they want to come back to a family and not an empty house. |

legry: laughing like a man gone gaga'gaga' - silly, crazy. Judging by the content of your last post, one would come to the same conclusion. Hope it's not Gulder (GUS)? (just kidding, I know it was deliberate and meant to be humorous). |
Yes, but 2 people have given the answer and the gamesmaster has congratulated them thrice! |
When they are financially independent, by age 18. They can have 'platonic' friends before then. ('Dating' is not the only way to get a husband or wife, you know. Some people are moving to a model better known as "courtship". There's a popular book titled 'I Kissed Dating Goodbye' that explores this possibility. Here's an excerpt from 'I Kissed Dating Goodbye'. |
(that's because there's not much to watch on Nigerian TV) Women are in control where it really matters - the kitchen, and one other place. ![]() |
Done. It's 250 naira per month for those who live in Nigeria and $50 per year for those living outside the country. What's left is for the forum be improved in ways that will make it worth 10 times the money you'll be paying . |

... Seun kept disturbing me about one 'Continue the story' thread that refused to die. Meanwhile, |
Find a new purpose, because where there's life there's hope and opportunity. What would you do if one of a major ethnic group decides to 'pull out' of the country? |
We have discussed the issue of ladies asking men out previously, so I imagine that this is not the reason why you started this thread. You started this thread because you want a pretty Nigerian girlfriend, and I hope it works for you. |

I'll say "I'm so sorry, but thank God we've been practicing abstinence". What would you do if Nairaland goes commercial tommorrow? |
"Vox populi, vox Dei" (the voice of the people is the voice of God) |
Actually, the statement just shows that I can give quick retorts. In case you missed it, this is what really happened: tayotina: Men are cassava sticks in trousers. seun: Women cannot do without the cassava sticks in trousers. |
Welcome to the forum, dablessed. |
That is my point. it's better to learn from reality. I think it's better to learn from those who have successful marriages as well as those who spend their time trying to help people fix their marriages. |
.. fainted but I came to nairaland for a little relaxation where I saw that legry's 'continue the story' thread has refused to die! So ... |
Yoruba women are ok, but Delta and Ibo women are the cutest. By the way, where does Rita come from? |
Vieira:To support your opinion, can you share your first hand experiences of Windows Updates 'causing havoc' on a system? |

Someone said that, "a lady who behaves like a thug does not deserve to be treated like a lady". If a lady raises her hand to slap a man because she feels "he's a goat" and he gives her the beating of her life I'm not going to take her side. If you want to be treated like a lady, you need to behave like a lady. |
Welcome to the Nairaland Forum, Le Moor. This forum is primarily for Nigerians living in Nigeria, and that is why most of the topics are about issues that matter within Nigeria. The Nairaland founder realised that while there are a lot of 'Nigerian' sites (including blogs and forums) out there, very few of them are able to satisfy the needs of the approximately 150 million Nigerians of us living within the country. So in spite of our love for Nigerians everywhere, we would definitely not sacrifice the interests of those who are in Nigeria for the sake of those living outside the country. However, there are some Nigerians in the diaspora who really seem to care about what's going on within Nigeria. Some of them are our most regular posters and Nairaland is a home away from home for them. I hope you fall into this category! There is no shame in being a member of two different forums and using the one that is more appropriate for the issue you want to discuss. I hope to read more from you as this site marches forward. |
