Thanks, bell, for taking my side! All applications for the position of Seun's girlfriend must be accompanied by one million naira non-refundable registration fee. Failure to pay that amount means your application will not be processed until I have been able to secure the funds through alternative means. ![]() |

Related Topic: Micheal Jackson going to prison or not. Congratulations, Michael. Now if you were actually guilty of some of those charges, please desist from them from this day henceforth. Nobody gains anything from your being in jail. I was able to listen to the live broadcast of this verdict on Silverbird TV. |
I beg to disagree. Inasmuh as we might be frustrated by the corrupt people in this country we must not give up and leave the country to them to run. We must use every opportunity given to us, including the opportunity to vote, to try to make a difference. |
A true federalism would help bring about a reversal of this trend; and only that will bring about genuine politics in Nigeria.A 'true federalism' will also make it easy for one section of the country to break away and start a civil war. This is the true aim of many of the people who are campaigning for 'true federalism'. |

Hello, Nairaland, the Nigerian Forum, is a large and broad forum with 27 sections, some of which are currently receiving much more attention than the others. In order to achieve more balance on the forum, I want to pick 5 sections out of the available 25 and really focus on them for the rest of the month, so that those sections will grow as much as the sections that are currently popular. Which 5 sections from the poll above would you like me to focus on for the rest of the month? Please register, login, and vote for the 5 sections of your choice. Thank you. |
It's permitted, especially if you're a new member. But for someone who has 98 posts it is frowned upon because many posts referring to your old id will have to be updated to reflect your new identity. That would involve a lot of manual labor! I want to assure you that Delarontus is a really beautiful name. |
Mosiate, so you are trying to turn the tables against me, abi? Ok, why don't you send me your tithe first and then I will send you a booster card as God wills? ![]() |
Typical Nigerian; answering questions with questions! Ok, let me change the question What if your manager commits a financial crime and pays you 1 million naira to keep it quiet? |

Anyman that comes my way now wiil suffer for the pains his fellow guy had made me to pass through. That my dear, is another big mistake. If you behave in that manner, then the 'good ones' who are looking for long term relationship (marriage) will be scared away (nobody wants to marry a bad-mannered lady). Those who are desperate or those just want to 'chop' out of you will be the only ones willing to tolerate the bad attitude. Being nasty towards all guys is not the answer. The answer is to have discernment. Once again, the only sure way of identifying a player is to see what he does when you hold back any form of instant gratification. This means no premarital sex, and no food either! if this scares him then he is a player (or we could say he is playing). |

Actually, he needs more than 4,000 naira to start a tutorial class because the books he needs to read to teach the course will not be available in the school library! He'll have to get it from a bookshop. |

Mosiate, I think I will be collecting just 10% (tithe) of your 1500 naira windfall! For today I am a pastor and this forum is a church . |
(This post has been moved from the Reps forum.) |
I fear them a lot, and I keep away from them as much as possible, so I haven't really had any personal experience with them, and I hope I won't have to for a while. I think they need to improve. They are saying they want to improve, but these corruption charges against their former chief (himself an anti-corruption campaigner) makes me feel they have just been joking! |
Is there anyone who is involved in the legal profession on the board? Can you tell us a little bit about sinificance of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and this achievement by Aloma Mariam Mukhtar? |
Like the 'All around the World' game, the 'Nigerian Names' forum game is a good idea. The only thing I'm worried about is that it encourages short, one word posts like: Emeka |
I'm surprised that we have people who love forms of music outside pop, rock and rap! Related topic: What are you listening to right now? |
Very few people are going to buy a new keyboard just because of the symbols. This is a niche product and I hope the marketers realise this.
[li]First of all, no Nigerian is going to buy a new, more expensive keyboard just because of the naira sign. People already are able to type the naira sign using MS Word.[/li][li]Only a very small subset of PC users ever have reason to type documents in the local languages - lecturers of Yoruba/Ibo/hausa and their students, scriptwriters and producers of Yoruba/Ibo/Hausa films, et cetera.[/li][li]Therefore the company should target these people specifically and they might be able to make a little money[/li][li]If they are lucky and the price is right, they might be able to convince some local PC manufacturers to use their keyboard.[/li]
So that's my view on the issue of the Konyin keyboard. |
Computer Village at Ikeja is a place where you can get just about any computer component or accessory you want in wholesale or retail quantities! Gafunk is one of the most well known shops in the area (they don't always have the best prices, but they have just about everything you might want to buy). Their website is at: http://www.gafunk.com/ . You should be able to get their addresses and phone numbers from that website. I hope you find what you're looking for! |
Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar, a woman from Kano State who started her law career in 1967, is the first female judge to be sworn in to the bench of the Supreme Court. From ThisDay Online: "The women cheered. They could not contain their joy. They gave a standing ovation. They applauded and applauded until they were almost begged to adjourn; but when she blew them a kiss it became obvious to all that she understood. You Sure, she knew why nearly all the female lawyers and Judges in the country thronged the Supreme Court's ceremonial hall that cool Wednesday morning. They were there to show their support and solidarity. At last and for the first time in history, a woman joined their lordships on that hallowed row!" what would you do if your girlfriend dumps you to marry a loser whose only bright side is that he's rich and ready for marraige? If he's rich and ready for marriage, then he's not a loser. He's an eligible and serious-minded suitor. So I'll hurry up and make myself rich and ready for marriage, too. What would you do if you were caught pants down with your closest friend's partner? If they are not married or engaged then I insist that it's no big deal. I'll simply thank my stars that we were caught before the act. If they are married it can't happen. What do you do when a member of your forum who has been disciplined for uncooperative behaviour initiates an online smear campaign against you? |
How can you admit that double-dating is necessary under some circumstances, and then in the same breath say it's wrong? ![]() You see typical Nigerians? You say that something is wrong, then you go ahead and do it! That is what is killing our country. If it is wrong, then do not do it. If it is right, do it. Personally, I think double-dating is inevitable, hence you can't say it's wrong. I believe that where there's no marriage there's no commitment. |
The three things I correct are: spelling, grammar, and formatting. Abusive statements are not rephrased; they are deleted or Incorrect or misleading statements are not rephrased either. They are usualy corrected by other forum members through normal posts. More serious mis-statements might be crossed out. |
Am not aware that participants actually pay in order to be post or reply post in a forum.'General Ojukwu', I want to refer you to the first post which clearly states that reading and participation on all public discussions will be 100% free. the inconvenience that may be associated with payment may prevent some pple from participating for a long time.Payment will be very simple - just buy an extra GSM recharge voucher next time you're buying call credit for your phone and send it to me. That's all! How will the months be counted (31 days cycles, the month of soso), or number days one visited).A month will be counted as a 30 day cycle. The administrator can think of other methods of raising funds. How about advertising; trading links, etc. This issue has been covered in a previous post which you should read. TV is free yet people are willing to pay for DSTV simply because the programming is better. This shows that people are willing to pay for quality entertainment. Am staying out of the vote.I guess this means you're going to wait for a few weeks after we go commercial before paying up. I appreciate your honesty. For now, I guess we only need a few hundred subscribers. |
I would turn down the offer. I don't want to make a fool of myself. What would you do if you won the US visa lottery? |
