I used to think he was a harmless entertainer until I heard about how workers borrow money to meet his demands. And about what people seeking healing go through at the "healing school". |
Tigers are stronger. They will try to avoid a fight but if forced to fight, an average tiger will destroy an average lion one-on-one. |
The key to avoiding the Ebola virus is to avoid contact with the body fluids of people with the virus. Such contact usually takes place in hospitals or homes where people suffering from Ebola Virus disease are being treated or cared for knowingly or unknowingly. Most of the people who get infected with Ebola virus are health workers or family members who care for Ebola patients without adequate and consistent protection. Ebola virus is generally not infectious until the symptoms start appearing, so in my opinion, avoiding contact with sick people is the most important thing you can do to protect yourself. Ebola is "characterized by the sudden onset of fever, intense weakness, muscle pain, headache and sore throat". At the advanced state, it leads to"vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, impaired kidney and liver function, and in some cases, both internal and external bleeding." When a person displays some of these symptoms, the person should be isolated. If you experience such symptoms, you should immediately isolate yourself to protect your friends and family, and then call the official Ebola response numbers for further action. Avoiding contact with sick people is extremely important. Reducing unnecessary contact with people generally is also good. You really don't need to kiss or hug strangers for no reason. Washing your hands regularly is important because you may have touched something that a sick person previously touched. If you use those same hands to touch your eyes or mouth or ears before washing, that could be a problem. Disinfecting objects that may have contacted bodily fluids with bleach solution is a very good idea. Public toilets, for example. The virus can be transmitted through pee-pee and poo. Yuck. Shared cups & spoons should be disinfected too. Bleach solution is one of the substances that the Ebola virus is susceptible to. The WHO recommends soaking infected items in bleach solution for 10 minutes to disinfect them. TO BE CONTINUED/CORRECTED I need to find out more about what the government is doing. |
chimeluiz: What about using regular soap for washing of hands; can IZAL be used in place of "bleach" for disinfecting objects.Izal is good for disinfecting objects, because it contains phenols, but we don't know the correct concentration and how long, etc. Use bleach. Using soap for washing hands is good, for an average person. If you come in contact with sick people, it will be good to disinfect yourself too. |
PhockPhockMan: My brother, the PortHarcourt case seem to be small but the effect is like a terror. The sanitiser we used to buy 200 to 300 naira is over 1,000 naira. You don't enter any institution both private and public without proper sanitization. Everybody is afraid enter to public transportation.Terror is good if it motivates people to protect themselves. Just make sure the sanitiser you're buying contains the right ingredients. |
So the Port-Harcourt case was true afterall. I wonder what stops another Liberian Ebola patient from taking a plane ride to Lagos, though. |
Some people don't need big dogs. Small dogs cost less to maintain because they need less food. They tend to be healthier and live longer. |
Don4life: please Mr seun am about paying for the ads..please hope its possible for me to advert my two sites with my ads credit?yes sir. |

tboi001: Cos am faced with samething now. Am thinking I shud take things slow cos there might be better babe out dre... But on the oda hand, I know my babe is a good babe. Before marriage, open your eyes and ears & get the best person that will have you. After marriage, close your eyes and ears and focus on her. |
jimmyjerry07: That's true, their play looks like fight. They initially start with play after which they start biting eachother especially their ears. The smaller one will lie beneath the bigger GSD, and the bigger one grabs the him with her teeth wide open on his neck. Once I try seperating them, she (GSD)gets angry wanting to go back to meet him (Rott). then they start barking with eachother. I unleash both of them only when I am around to supervise them.Do they get injured? If they don't get injured then it's just play. Our Lhasa Apso's head often finds its way into our GSD's head during play. He also growls and jumps a lot as if he is attacking the GSD but the GSD knows he's just playing and plays along. It's quite annoying sometimes. |
Sweetlemon: Nigerians will always be Nigerians and comment on what they know nothing about. In your mind you have contributed to the discussion. You have shown that you are smarter (or more arrogant) than the rest of us. Clap clap! |
jimmyjerry07: This is my first time of training and living with a dog and I am enjoying their company. The first time you're training and living with a dog and you decided to buy two? You'll be alright, but other people should not do that. Shawnalex: As 4 their fighting, I don't think u should b separating them. If u keep doing dat and dey get used to it, it can bcom deadly wen they re older(talkin from experience)Hmm. Tell us more about your experience bro. |
At that age they should be playing, not fighting, but puppy play often looks like fighting to people. As long as they aren't biting each other... |
steadyguy: Why she no leave her pastor position for London and go stay with her husband?Actually, that seems to be a Christ Embassy tradition: https://www.nairaland.com/1890453/christ-embassy-policy-thats-tearing |
sharpchap: if not why would she accept to stay away from him for so long? When you're married to money, sometimes you have to accept the unacceptable to secure a bright future for your children. ![]() sharpchap: 16 years is no joke. who has been shining her congo for that amount of time? abi she dey celibate?I'm pretty sure that she is not a saint, so that is not out of the question. But does she humiliate him by flaunting the congo shiner in public? sharpchap: any way you cant judge a case where only one party has reported. There are few PR reasons to remain silent in a case like this: one of them is the knowledge that setting things straight will not help your case. sharpchap: sometimes the offender can come across as the victim. maybe she did it first and he has found it difficult to forgive her.She must have done something to offend him, but it's not reasonable to assume it was adultery. Maybe she doesn't treat him as her master! |
mbulela: I am obviously not fan of the man but all these stories that paint vivid pictures that can only be gotten from hear-say are ungodly to say the leastI think it's only ungodly if it's a lie. Are you saying that it is a lie? |
Upload the pictures here. Let's all see them and make the necessary comments. |
tukane: I want a dog that won't disturb my neighbours.Fair enough. What do you want the dog to do for you? What will be the dog's job? |
Some common breeds to definitely avoid: Caucasian Shepherd, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Lhasa Apso, and even American Eskimo. Some common breeds to consider: Samoyed. Golden Retrievers and Labradors are rarely aggressive but can be very hyper and noisy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF8wvUqZfHs Why do you want a dog that hardly barks? |
zube01: Are adult dogs sold? How will I leave with it?Yes, I bought my dog when he was 2 or 3 years old. Once the owner hands him over to you with the leash, he will probably follow you, but you must be careful to treat the dog very well. Feed him well, train him using positive reinforcement, and don't try to take food from his mouth! |
PhockPhockMan: Is that all you can say? I advise you to set up a mechanism to know by yourself. Because, handing over the responsibility of notifying you of front page material anyone will not be BEST FOR BUSINESS, especially in politics section where almost everybody, including the MODS are biased, otherwise, why these topics are condemned to rot in Health and politics sections?I am now following you as well, so that when you share quality content I will get notified. |

caoalvin: rule no one never shout at your dog for any reason...............................@seunFor a sensitive dog, this may be true, but doesn't the shout tell the dog that what he's doing is wrong without hurting the dog at all? ![]() |
Pictures, weight, & reason for sale please. |
kuzee: if i want to mix,i kip the dog for myselfDogs whelp many puppies when they get pregnant. If your dog gives birth to 8 ugly puppies, will you keep all of them? |
kuzee: recently i have been feeding my dog with simba, but i now switch to feeding them with fish [eel] organs and chicken organs from the market which are relatively very cheap,i realize they love eating the boiled organs than the food tin[simba] bought from the store.it seem to be their favorite.Unless you're willing to do a lot of research you should stick with an affordable high quality dog food. If you want to mix your dog's food yourself you must provide meat, organs, and bone. The meat provides protein, the bone provides calcium, and the organis provide vitamins and minerals. If you feed too much organs, your dogs could experience an overdose of oil-soluble vitamins such as vitamin A and Vitamin D (for example, liver contains a lot of vitamin A, so if more than 10% of your dogs' diet is liver then they at risk of Vitamin A overdose which is nasty) If you don't feed bones, then your dogs will suffer from calcium deficiency, so at least 10% of their diet (up to 20%) must be bone. Bones will also make your dogs' stool firm. Alternatively, you can give them calcium tablets which will prevent calcium deficiency but their stools will remain soft. And the rest should be meat/skin/fat/cartilage which provides protein and fat and some vitamins. The ideal ratio is said to be 80% meat/fat/skin/cartilage, 10% organs, and 10% bone. But feeding up to 20% bone and up to 15% organs should still be ok. If you know that you don't have time to sort all of the above issues out with your calculator and kitchen scales, please just continue to buy commercial dog food. |
oluomoadebayo: Feeding organs regularly is not advisable because it's very rich and might not digest completely hence loose stool is imminent .If the organs don't constitute more than 20% of the diet and are cooked, there should be no problems. Liver should not be more than 5 - 10%. |
What is Adoblo? |
Me too! |
oluomoadebayo: Put the adult dog in a strong kennel, put a prong collar with a very long leash and play with your new puppy in front of him. Anytime he is crazy just give a sharp and firm correction with the leash and reward him when he is relaxed and ignored the little puppy. Do this and you should be fine in 2 weeks.I think the "firm correction with the leash" is a very bad idea because it will teach your adult dog that the puppy's presence leads to aggressive corrections. That will not reduce his aggression. However, there is an approach called desensitization and counterconditioning that may work. After doing as you all have said I sure hope the 13 months old male will not fight and kill the smaller male cos of the Dam?He surely will, and that is why you must keep them separate! They will fight because of the dam and because they are both intact males, and your puppy will die. The purpose of desensitization and counterconditioning is to prevent a complete disaster if there is a mistake that causes them to meet each other such as an escape from the kernel or a leash breaking or a muzzle being removed because it wasn't securely fastened. Even if they seem to be fine with each other after the counterconditioning, I wouldn't trust the adult not to kill the puppy in my absence. |
