What's the scientific basis for this? IMHO, some dogs can't handle it but most dogs can. If his dog couldn't handle it he would've noticed.

Sorry about this incident, bro. Thanks for sharing it with us. I see two action points:

1) Poison must never be used for killing pests in a house with pets. Once you get a dog or cat, throw away all your rat poison permanently. You can use glue boards to kill mice and small rats. They are even more effective than poison. Your dogs can probably handle the big rats!

2) Never allow your dog to go hungry for a long time. Most dogs that kill rats do not eat them because they smell very nasty. However, if a dog is very hungry for a long period of time, it may try to eat them. And if the rats have eaten poison or some nasty plants, the dog may die.

3) We should dispose the carcasses of any animals our dogs kill as soon as we notice them, so our dogs won't be tempted to eat them later.

Rottweilers look fantastic with their tails intact. Tail cropping is banned in the UK and most civilized countries. Check out the pictures below:

I mix waste noodles, dry meat, fish meal and soy fat.
I add a little veg oil during cooking.
Raw meat comes in as a treat once a week.
No onions, maize, pepper, cooked bones or spiky fish bones.

Dry food already contains a lot of filler because it's the cheapest form of dog food. Do not add extra filler in form of noodles or rice to it. Do not add low quality ingredients to dry food. Dry food is not meat or fish that you can add cheap carbohydrates like rice and maize and noodles to. It already contains all the cheap carbohydrates that a dog can tolerate and that's part of what makes dry food more affordable than wet food. If you add fillers to dry food which already contains fillers, then your dog will be eating low quality rubbish. And this is bad for puppies because it means they will not reach their full potential. The only reason to mix dry food is to make it more palatable, so pls mix it with quality meats only.

They seem to be very rare in Nigeria, but I think you can expect them to cost about the same as GSDs. Dog pricing is very subjective.

You will be charged for roughly the amount of time that your ad was on the board. Billing is done every few minutes, actually.
