Kick her to the curb. Hitting her is not the answer, but instead of crying you should leave her for a few weeks, at least! |
I want us to be careful about the way we speculate about the owner of the house, since the news article doesn't mention the owner. Any billionaire from Issele Uku of Aniocha North LGA could be the owner of the house. We should investigate carefully before making claims. |
Siena: I don't joke when it comes to my kids. If my mother-in-law mutilated my children with tribal marks, I will brand both her cheeks and forehead with a red-hot iron. If my wife makes any attempt to defend her mom, she'll have to pack her stuff up, and leave.I agree with your sentiment, but I think you should not put the law into your own hands. You have a real legal system in the US! |
@TruBrotha: Don't be a litigious parasite. It's not a rewarding path. Remember the Winklevii. |
hurlapapa: Met sum pple dat blivs it...I don't bliv it dou...was just a postWhere did you get the picture? Did someone send it to you, or did you create it yourself in Photoshop? |
Valued Nairalanders, Regarding the e-mail message that Nairaland did not send, people have been asking how the spammers got their email addresses. Some people believe that the moderators supplied it, even though I've repeatedly re-assured them that we do not have any facility that exposes member emails to moderators. The only two ways a Nairalander can get your email are: (1) If you send them an email message through the forum. (2) If they send you an email message and you reply them. Yet dozens or possibly hundreds of Nairalanders have been spammed. How did the spammers get all those e-mail addresses? Well I've been getting bounce messages all day from people who got the spam message, so I tried searching the forum for their email addresses. I discovered that they all posted their email addresses publicly on the forum. Every single email I checked could be found on a public thread. So all the spammers had to do was run a type of bot known as an email extractor on the forum. With the email extractor they downloaded hundreds of public pages on Nairaland, and extracted all the e-mail addresses posted publicly on those pages. Then they spammed the addresses they collected. I don't think there's much we could have done to prevent this. If you post your email address on any public page/blog/forum on the Internet, you will be spammed. So what can you do to protect yourself? The options are: (1) To never post your email address publicly, which is difficult if you're a public person or business person looking for customers. (2) To use an e-mail provider with very good spam management facilities - for example gmail - for email addresses you intend to post publicly on the Internet. In any case, you should cheerfully click the "mark as spam" button whenever you find a spam mail in your inbox. That's what it's meant for! I hope you are satisfied by this explanation. Feel free to ask me any other questions you have related to this topic. Have a great day! |
@hurlapapa: I'd like to know whether it's true that some people seriously believe that the hand in that picture is God's hand? |
Your email address is never exposed on NL2. Moderators and super-moderators can't get your email address. |
logica: Where did the article say unqualified Nigerians will benefit? I thought it clearly stated that the idea is to consider a capable citizen ahead of expatriates (a general practice worldwide)?Who gets to determine who is capable? Why would employers hire expensive expatriates if they truly believe Nigerians are capable? |

chipmunkey: Apparently, Seun`s Nairaland email has been hacked. @ insidersNope, that's a comprehension error on your part. They didn't have to hack anything. The email was sent from a spam server/domain. |
Valued Nairalanders, This evening, a spammer sent out a lot of spam mails in such a way that they appeared to have been sent from Nairaland (my official email address). I'd like to inform everyone that we did not send that mail, that they were not sent from Nairaland's systems or accounts, and that you should not click the link in the e-mail. The link in the email probably points to a fraudulent document, some form of malware/virus, or both, so please don't click on it. Have a great evening! Solution: Stop being a troll. |
manosteel: Long overdue. I know of an oil and gas company in PH that has a foreigner as chief security officer. Ordinarily, this position should be reserved for Nigerians. Why? Because Nigerians are more trustworthy? ![]() |
In Nigeria, you are guilty until you are proven innocent. Very sad. If the pictures and video were not taken, she would be finished. |
Protectionist policies harm the majority for the benefit of a privileged few. For example, the cement import ban made Dangote Cement investors rich, at the expense of increased housing costs for every one else, rich or poor. That's not democratic. Moreso protectionist laws are not sustainable in an increasingly interconnected world. What will the millions of Nigerians who work abroad and send money home do if their host countries retaliate with similar laws? It's as if we want to eat our cake and have it. I don't care whether you're Nigerian or Indian, as long as you do your job well, serving Nigerians well with your skills. |
People should be hired based on merit. Millions of Nigerian customers should not be punished to provide jobs for a few employees. |
What's SLT? |
You will need to stop posting on Islamic issues. I'm very sorry about this. |
If you want trolls, I'll let you have them. I have no personal preference. Sagamite is a good contributor, but needs to be careful. |
Why do we have a no tolerance policy towards trolls? Because you people always complain about them. They are toxic to the community. |
He sounds like a troll. We have a no-tolerance policy for trolling. I hope the moderator has not forgotten this. |
