She was not banned. She resigned under the guise of having a problem with the antispam bot in order to lure people to one of her sites. DHTML was banned because he tried to get us in trouble with google's content policy and started cloning the usernames of members like you. disruption. I decided to unban him because he did me a favor, but this move isn't popular with the supermods so I've been stalling.

SportsRe: I Wanted To Quit After Zambia Victory – Amodu by Seun(mod): 4:47pm On Jan 27, 2010
These wishy-washy excuses for failure have only confirmed my feelings about Amodu's competence.

mojojojo:
At the beginning of this competition, we started brilliantly against Egypt and scored early in the game. We were carried away by our ability to control the game easily. We would have killed off the game if we had scored more goals when the Egyptians respected us. But we allowed them to come back into the game and let victory slip from our hands.
Victory did not "slip away" from your hands.  The Eagles conceded three goals.  After conceding the first goal you should have changed your tactics to prevent the last two goals from being scored.  That's what you're there for; you're not a helpless match commentator, you're the coach!!

It was our heaviest defeat in 13 matches and we were left with the task of raising the players‘ morale from the defeat and prepare them for the other matches. Thank God we won the other matches to reach the quarterfinals.
Yes, thank God.  Because there were no preparations, no tactics, no game plans.  You just herded the boys into the field and prayed to God to make them win.  And then you sat on the bench and hoped for the best.  That's all you've ever done, as far as we can see.

The Zambian test

After reaching the quarterfinals, there were conflicting reports on who our next opponents would be. We thought it was going to be Cameroun and the players were happy because they thought they were going to avenge past defeats. The mood in the camp however changed when Zambia was eventually announced by CAF as our opponents.

My players relaxed and it was obvious in their character. I sensed danger and called them to a meeting to remind them that Zambia could knock us out of the competition. I told them that the team was one of the best in the tournament and that they played beautiful football. Perhaps they thought I was only raising a fear that did not exist, but on the day of the match, we laboured to curtail the Zambians.

They made it difficult for us with their brand of football. I forewarned the Eagles but they did not listen and that was why we could not kill off the game early. Derby against Ghana
"My players relaxed" is the best you can come up with?   Why did you allow them to relax?  What is the coach there for if the players can just just decide to "relax" and the coach does nothing about it?  You don't think your technical or tactical decisions had anything to do with the loss?  Oh wait, you don't even know what "tactical" means.  My bad.

The semifinal match against Ghana will look like the quarterfinal match against Zambia. Black Stars and the Chipolopolo have young players who can move the ball well. They can run very well too. Unlike Nigeria, the pressure is not on them.
In other words we're going to lose, and as the coach you feel there's nothing you can do about it.
As far as Amodu is concerned, what will be will be.  It is all in the hands of God.  He has no obligation.
He does not have a winning strategy, tactics, ideas, or whatever.  He thinks his job is to hope for the best.

On Aiyegbeni
So many people have questioned the inclusion of Yakubu Aiyegbeni in the team that played against Mozambique and Zambia. Some said he did little to support the team.

Yakubu is a goal scorer but he is just coming out of a major injury setback that wrecked his performance last season. People accused me that he is my player and that is why I always include him in the team. There is nothing wrong in a coach having a favourite player and I think Yakubu deserves to be forgiven for what he is going through now.
He admits his favouritism, and he's unrepentant about it.  "Yeah I like Yakubu, so bite me".  "Yeah he's injured and hasn't fully recovered, but I like him.  Nigerian sports fans can go and jump into the sea for all I care".

I think we need to get our boys into the penalty box so they can win a penalty.  The Zambians are rough!

Amodu is a bad coach, pure and simple.  If it's true that we lost the last time we used 4-3-3 and now we're using it again.  I don't know why they keep giving him the opportunity to fumble.  He just sits there like a slowpoke even when things are going wrong; he makes no attempt to direct his boys. He is not a good coach, and the people that keep appointing him are equally incompetent. Grr.

logica:
That is not the reason. You can definitely find web developers of advanced ages in the US for instance. They sometimes have a history of programming, but most I've found don't, and have gone through several different careers before settling for software development (which mostly explains why they are still in the development tier, and not managerial tier, as they have fewer years of experience in the field than their age mates). If you've had a long history in software development, you usually get promoted out of the development level to the managerial level. But a few don't like the managerial level, and stick to development.
Makes no sense.  You're saying many contradictory things in your desperate bid to disagree.  Na wa.

That is not the reason.
What is your reason (why there are very few old web devs?)

The reason we don't have 70 year old web developers is simple: the web is barely 20 years old!

I'm going to be coding as long as I am alive, for sure. Even if it means using Python exclusively.
