So people in Sango Ota won’t be able to go to Alakuko under this rule?

Seun, I said as far back as early February that this pandemic was more an economic battle than a healthcare one. Let this be clear to Nigerians. We donot have social security, we donot have medicaid and medical insurance remains in its infancy. The typical Nigerian pays his medical bills from his pocket, he will have to pay to receive Covid -19 treatmemt from a pocket that is under threat now.

As we speak even goverment doctors are being asked to source their PPE to battle this scourge. The government cannot provide the basic tools of war. That is how under resourced our goverment is. Now you ask your citizens to fight this pestilence with one economic hand tied behind their backs. How is the country going to win.

If this pestilence lasts till the end of the year, who can survive 8 months without income. Can this country survive a year without an agricultural planting season?....You shut the markets and farmers cannot sell their produce, why will they cultivate anew even as the rains have come. This thing has long term implications.

Other nations are precise and deliberate in their planning. They have an entry and exit strategy to shutting down. What is the strategy of this government in handling this crises.huh Please help me ask them.
You’ve said it all.
HealthRe: Dangote, Access Bank To Provide 1000-Bed Facility To Combact Coronavirus by Seun(mod):
When I first saw the title I thought, Jack Ma is providing millions of respirators and test kits to help us contain the virus and prevent people from getting sick, while our people are providing hospital beds to treat those that are already sick. I was like, why not skip that step and buy coffins? Cos by the time we need those hospital beds, we will need a lot of coffins too. A good person pointed out that they will also do testing and training, so it may not be a fair criticism.

They are just delaying the recovery period. The only solution is a 21 day total curfew shocked
Total curfew is at best a time saving tactic. You still have to test, test, test to find those who have the virus and stop them from spreading it. A curfew without doing that will only slow the spread; it will not stop it. And once the curfew is lifted, the disease will come back.
HealthRe: Coronavirus: FG To Ban Inter-State Travel, Close Motor Parks by Seun(mod):
If there are only 51 cases in Nigeria, most of whom have a history of travel abroad, why are they doing all this? Shutting down the country doesn’t solve the virus. It only gives more time for the real work: testing, isolation and treatment. So how will essential businesses run without buying things from Lagos?

Guys, help a guy in need. I had contact with someone who just came back from Europe. Few days back, I developed a slight fever, cough, running nose and sneezing. Please am I safe? Can’t even sleep anymore
You need to self-isolate yourself. Even if you have the Coronavirus, there is a good chance that you will have “mild” symptoms and get better naturally. But if you don’t self-isolate you may spread it to your friends, your parents, grandparents, girlfriends, neighbours, colleagues at work, etc, and some of them will have severe symptoms and die. Unfortunately, most people are not good at self-isolation and will still spread the disease, which is why remote isolation centers are important.
HealthRe: How Hand Sanitizers Are Made In Lagos Market, Ojota - Video by Seun(mod): 8:17am On Mar 25, 2020
The only thing that matters is whether the sanitizer contains a minimum of 60% alcohol. If it does, they should carry on, as far as I am concerned. Poor people may not be able to afford imported hand sanitizers, so if this locally made sanitizer satisfies the minimum requirement as specified by the WHO, this is good. If I were NAFDAC, I would send agents to supervise the mixing of the chemicals just to ensure that the ratio is correct.

what if they released it in Wuhan to cover their tracks I mean what’s bad if they sacrifice few people just to achieve what they desire
That would have been unnecessary; it would have been easy for people to believe that the Coronavirus, like the Ebola virus, originated in Africa.

donnie:
We are (or pretend to be) too naive in Africa. Africa is the main target of that virus. They expect us to be dying like fowls on the streets. There is a goal set to reduce world population because according to the globalists, the resources available in the world are limited. Plus the impact of a growing world population on climate change. This is the mindset of people like Bill Gates and those of the Illuminati elite family who run this world as a business corporation
If the virus was bio-engineered by China and Africa was the main target, they would have released it in Lagos, Cairo, or Capetown. Not in Wuhan.

If you are healthy, the Coronavirus may not kill you, so there’s no need for suicide. The WHO is conducting trials of 4 drugs as we speak.
Christianity EtcRe: Coronavirus Mandatory Vaccination: A Vision And Warning by Seun(mod): 9:59am On Mar 24, 2020
donnie:
It should not be compulsory. Let the globalists and all who believe in those who made the vaccine take the vaccine. People should have a choice.
If a significant portion of the population refuses to get immunized, the highly infectious and nasty diseases that we are trying to eradicate from society will continue to spread. Making vaccination compulsory prevents this.

I still can't believe we let these guys put us in this situation. We should have packed ourselves to all the international airports and demanded a shutdown on the spot.
Bro, that is how the virus spreads. Packing ourselves anywhere in large numbers is never the solution to this virus.

BusinessRe: Coronavirus: Access Bank Closes Branch After Visitor Tested Positive To COVID-19 by Seun(mod):
Banks are essential. There are ways to run a bank without putting customers at risk. Customers and bank staff should wear and use protection.

Sanitizers, face-masks for everybody before bank entry or usage of ATM machines. Constant cleaning of door handles, ATM machines, etc. No crowding of customers. Make them stand at least one meter away from each other. Safety steps should be proactive, not reactive.

Everyone in the house will soon be confirmed cases. The virus is highly contagious.
HealthRe: Corona Virus: What To Do If You Have It by Seun(mod):
Also, wear a facemask (even a home-made face mask or a hankerchief tied over your nose and mouth is better than nothing) and keep a good distance if you must interact with people or go outside. Do not take off the mask to talk to anyone; this defeats the purpose of wearing it.

It's not enough. If the measures taken by the government to stop the virus don't seem excessive, they won't be sufficient. All it takes is 1 carrier.

Lmao. Oga, if you know anyone that has coronavirus or is suspected to have, advice him to go to the hospital asap.
Bad idea. If you have the symptoms of Coronavirus, you should self-isolate at home and call the NCDC and/or your local hospital. If the doctors and nurses are not prepared to deal with Coronavirus, you may end up infecting them or other patients. Please stay at home and call them 1st.
HealthRe: Coronavirus: 4 New Cases In Lagos, Nigeria Confirmed By State Ministry Of Health by Seun(mod): 4:40pm On Mar 19, 2020
Another confirmed case is a Nigerian male in his 50s who had never travelled anywhere. He tested positive and had since been admitted.
And so it begins.
HealthRe: Convid19 Poll: Movements Into The Country Should Be Restricted. Yes/no? by Seun(mod): 6:29pm On Mar 17, 2020
seunlayi:
How true is this?
It may be false, but I believe it could be true because America has done worse. The virus could be silently spreading in Nigeria as we speak. All it takes is one infected person. This is a global pandemic and will only be stopped when all countries in the world take extreme measures to stop it.
HealthRe: Convid19 Poll: Movements Into The Country Should Be Restricted. Yes/no? by Seun(mod): 5:46pm On Mar 17, 2020
It would be tragic if we failed to learn from other countries who played politics with the disease for just a few days or weeks and now regret it.

I wouldn't go for a total ban on travel, but those that come in should be quarantined or tested for the virus whether or not they are showing symptoms. And passengers should be required to wear face-masks on the planes and in the airport. With these and other measures, only people who have serious reasons for traveling (such as business) will travel. The airline industry will suffer terribly but we can't really afford to care.

The statement is simple: you're likely to know the health status of your family members since you are living together
Actually, it's not the best advice. In the event of an outbreak, you should take precautions as if the members of your family are already infected.

It sound like a drastic plan anyway...
But, considering the low fatality rate in Nigeria, all these measures will not be carried out for now..
For now, you may be right, but I feel that best time for drastic precautionary measures is before there is a massive outbreak and not after it starts. Also, we can't be certain that the two confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria are the only ones: some infected people have no symptoms.

How can you call Churches and Mosques , non-essential gathering??
Church services can be conducted over the Internet, TV and radio nowadays. Offerings can be paid with your ATM cards. It is just too dangerous for thousands of people from all over the country to congregate in Canaanland, Redemption Camp, etc, mingle for days, and then return home!

It is better to conduct ALL forms of gathering under stringent care rather than to shut them down!!
Stringent care is very expensive. For small gatherings that are essential, it may be economical. For large non-essential gatherings, it will not be.

People will still board public transport anyway!
Yikes! Well, if people stay at home as much as possible and only go out when they really need to, there will be less people on public transport.
