Cancer is not a piece of cake; it can relapse at any time even if you're treated abroad.

If they were taking pictures of an army barracks with the intention of aiding a future attack on Nigeria, that would be spying. Using a video camera to tape Ijaw youths is not spying. Sightseeing is not spying.

If a CNN reporter comes to Nigeria to cover a story, would it be spying? If you go to the US and decide to take pictures of public places, would you be arrested for spying? Tourists are supposed to record pictures and videos.

How can you spy on what is not hidden? [s]I can't believe how stupid Nigerians can be. This is just too stupid. Grr![/s]

Worldwide, the rules that apply to free, over-the-air stations (like STV) don't apply to subscription channels.

If you're a good writer then why didn't you say anything when I was looking for a writer?
I guess telling people their scripts suck is more fun than actually helping them with their dreams.
Poems For Review › Re: 'Funky Patient': Screenplay For A Short Film by Seun(mod): 10:29pm On Oct 04, 2007
Yes. The thing is, I'm a learner. Calling my script "not good" is like calling someone in driving school a bad driver.
It's very discouraging and unnecessary. Do you understand this?

Why not just say "you need to do so and so to make it better" and leave it like that? Why call it a bad script? Imagine that you posted a story 1 year ago and someone comes to you suddenly just to tell you that he thinks you're a bad writer, with no suggestions given. Do you see how that can hurt?

I know I'm not a Chimamamda, but must you rub it in my face like that? Why not "I didn't enjoy it because. . ."?

so this is your argument? then why will you subject your wife to natural means of giving birth, do you think that is not painful as well.
I will not subject my wife to natural means of giving birth unless, as an adult, she insists that's what she wants. In the same way, if my baby boy grows up and says he wants to cut his foreskin, i won't stand in his way.

If you refrain from cutting, you can cut at any time. But once you cut, you can't reverse it. So why not leave it to the boy to decide how "clean" he wants his privates to be? Freedom of choice is a very good thing in matters like this.

No matter what you feel, English1 is right when she says that there are more males who are uncircumcised than there are who are circumcised. I do not know the exact percentages but I believe circumcised males are outnumbered on a ratio of at least 3:1.
Wow, I didn't know this. It's funny how people tend to believe that their way is the only way!

If circumcision is painful for an adult, imagine how painful it must be for a baby.

So in Lagos Muslims are peaceful because they are in the minority.
And in Senegal they are peaceful because they are in the majority??
It's an interesting theory. It needs to subjected to extensive testing.

seun0001, how could circumcising a helpless baby be more safe than circumcising a fully grown adult? huh
Politics › Re: Northern Nigerian Killer Muslims At Work Again by Seun(mod): 4:42pm On Oct 03, 2007
9.5 out of every Senegalese is muslim. If they went on rampage whom will they kill?
Hmm, the greater the inbalance, the easier it is to kill the minorities, because there'll be no resistance. Isn't the north like that?
Family › Re: I Won't Circumcise My Baby Boy (If Any) by Seun(mod): 3:56pm On Oct 03, 2007
Moreso, i advise you to read more about men that were not circumcised and how they are suffering b'because of that
A man can get circumcised at any time - they just need to cut the foreskin - so I don't see what they are 'suffering'.

Studies show that male circumcision can significantly cut the risk of HIV infection
My baby boy (if any) will simply abstain from unsafe sex when he grows up. That's a much smarter way to avid HIV.

Cutting off your privates will drastically reduce the risk of HIV infection, won't it? So why don't we do that?!
Family › I Won't Circumcise My Baby Boy (If Any) by Seun(mod): 2:44pm On Oct 03, 2007
I've just finished reading an article about how a Jewish dad and his non-Jewish wife were forced to circumcise their male child for the sake of tradition, against medical advice. And now, my mind is made up. If I ever have a baby boy, i won't circumcise him. It may be mostly harmless apart from the pain it causes, but I won't do it. Period.

Here's a link to the article: http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2007/01/09/pollack_circumcision/index.html angry

I don't see myself as a "Nigerian". I see myself as a human being first, man second, and entrepreneur third. wink

Are you sure you want to become a celebrity? I mean, look at Britney Spears. She's a celebrity, and yet, tongue

Also, being a celebrity is not a job. Modeling is a job, acting is a job, and music is yet another job. Most models, actors and musicians are not even celebrities; only those that are extremely successful have that privilege.
