If someone buys my child an Ipod Nano, my only concern will be to make sure that the gift is really free.
Why should I be angry? That is one less Ipod Nano I have to buy. Anything that saves me money is good!

They all use drugs - during training, at least. That's why they keep breaking records. The trick is to not get caught. Think about it - if people don't use performance enhancing drugs, very few world records will be broken. In fact, the number of world records broken will go down every year until it becomes zero. Won't that be boring?
Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Safer Than The UK by Seun(mod): 11:31am On Oct 08, 2007
What makes Nigeria relatively "safe" is the scarcity of assault weapons.
See what's happening in the Niger Delta where this does not apply? Chaos.
Family › Re: Why Do White People Divorce So Frequently And For Flimsy Reasons? by Seun(mod): 11:20am On Oct 08, 2007
Wife beating is a popular sport in Nigeria. It's equivalent to beating your junior sister.
But I don't think it has anything to do with divorce. It's not very relevant to the discussion.

Enlightened women tend to divorce more frequently because they know they have a choice.
And I think it's ok. Divorce is not the worst thing in the world. It may be a lesser evil.

You are not ugly, but being beautiful is not enough to make you a celebrity.
In fact, why should being a celebrity be your goal? It's a hard and lonely life!

Art, Graphics & Video › Re: Tiny 3d Portfolio by Seun(mod): 10:50am On Oct 08, 2007
I have an idea about what one can do with photorealistic 3D animation. You see, sometimes you have a movie set in a location that's expensive to obtain. It would be useful to be able to shoot the actors with a green screen and then render the background using 3D tools. For example, let's say we want to film a movie set in a mansion, we could generate the mansion in 3D and add it to the actors' performance in front of a green screen.

That is how movies like Star Wars, located in "space", and King King, on the "empire state building" were shot.

The exposure level of BBN is controlled so that prudes like you will be able to watch it.
That is why the shower hour is a separate programme: so you don't have to watch it.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Arrests Foreign "Spies" In The Niger Delta by Seun(mod): 4:27pm On Oct 06, 2007
Two wrongs do not make a right. A German woman who has been married to a Nigerian for decades is a Nigerian. You cannot say because you are upset
with the way you are treated in Germany you must persecute Germans who love Nigeria for a baseless reason such as this.

When did "filming Ijaw youths" become a crime? Maybe she filmed a Nigerian official committing a crime?

Security officials confirmed they had detained Judith Burdin Asuni and two German nationals. Newspaper reports suggest they are suspected of spying.

They were said to have been filming masked youths from the Ijaw community in Delta State.

Delta militants have been conducting a violent campaign for the oil-rich area to get a larger share of the oil money.

Dr Burdin Asuni is married to a Nigerian and has lived in the region for more than a decade.

She runs the non-governmental organisation Academic Associates Peace Work and has run workshops with the Nigerian police on conflict management.
Arresting an old woman,an aid worker married to a Nigerian, and calling her a spy? Very idiotic.
Idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic, idiotic!!
I don't think our politicians are that stupid, however. This is just a cover story for something else.

Talking about long hours, what are you bankers really doing that requires long hours?
99% of the rubbish that you guys insist on doing could be done perfectly well by computers.
Romance › Re: Female Bankers And Marriage. What Is Your Take On It? by Seun(mod): 9:08am On Oct 05, 2007
Hmmm, why is it ok for the man to work long hours but wrong for a woman to work long hours?
Why is it ok for a married man to work long hours when he knows his wife wants to spend time with him?
Why is it ok for a man to demand that his wife spend time with him but not vice versa?
Sexual discrimination is becoming a thing of the past; a way of life that only suits illiterates.
