Car Talk › Re: Teaching Your Wife How To Drive by Seun(mod): 9:39pm On Mar 26, 2007
(1) I can't teach anything to anybody. (2) I can't drive.
Politics › Re: Our Girls Are Not Interested In Politics? by Seun(mod): 9:37pm On Mar 26, 2007
For you people to now say that we prefer manicuring to politics is just so sexist. Not every girl is a desperate housewife-wannabe.
Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. My female friends are all exceptions, or we won't be friends.
Romance › Re: Can A Relationship Survive A Break? by Seun(mod): 9:36pm On Mar 26, 2007
splurge:
i think it's a sensible way to put him in check because when you guys part for a while, he'll value you more and you guys can even chill out with others to see how truly compatible you guys are. but, girlfriend, don't overdo it.
I don't think this at all. I think it's one of the stupidest ways to lose a partner.
Guys don't want to be "put in check". They'd rather find another woman who respects them more than that!

Please answer the question first before shamelessly promiting your site.
Politics › Re: Our Girls Are Not Interested In Politics? by Seun(mod): 9:20pm On Mar 26, 2007
Seun you just lost a hell of a lot of cool points for this stupid post.
Were you going to marry me if I didn't make that point? Oops, I didn't know. being sarcastic

that behind every successful man, there is a woman , but i guess that dosen't count, abi??
It doesn't count because we were talking about how many 'supposedly superior' men are corrupt politicians.

I agree. Men are more power hungry whereas women tend to be more emotional so a woman will either want to ruin something or fix. Its a ego trip for some guys to have such power it has nothing to do with them being superior. Its to do with power and greed.
What do you call a woman that allows such 'greedy' men to rule her in order to get their "love" and money?

You will find many of my posts in the political section. But there are too many dumb guys on here who will tell you to go back to the romance section!
If a girl tells a guy in the romance section to 'go back' to the political section, do you think he would obey?

Politics › Re: Our Girls Are Not Interested In Politics? by Seun(mod): 9:03pm On Mar 26, 2007
Its hilarious some of you guys believe you are superior because you discuss politics I hope you are proud that it is your sex that has run Nigeria into the gutter where it currently resides.
At least the men are doing something. What are you ladies doing? Hiding behind men and polishing your nails!

Behind every corrupt politician, there is a more corrupt and apathetic, greedy and shallow-minded woman!
Music/Radio › Re: Nokia 'First Chance' Show by Seun(mod): 9:03pm On Mar 26, 2007
Your girlfriend should be able to tell you all these things, as she's now an insider. She's not keeping in touch? sad
Politics › Re: President Obasanjo And Atiku Indicted For Corruption by Seun(mod): 8:59pm On Mar 26, 2007
The starter of this thread is biased against the president. He did wrong, but it was autocracy and not corruption.
Politics › Re: Nigerian Electricity Under Construction by Seun(mod): 8:49pm On Mar 26, 2007
Privatization is the answer. The government should face its primary responsibilities and leave power to us. wink

MySQL is the future. It's beginning to get all the features you could want, without compromising performance.
Romance › Re: My Ideal Husband Practices A Different Religion by Seun(mod): 8:28pm On Mar 26, 2007
@davidylan: are you saying that an atheist like me would have to import a wife, since all Nigerian women are either Christians or Muslims? If so, shame on Nigeria. What if your spouse changes his/her religion after marriage?
Education › Re: What Next For Obafemi Awolowo University (After Closure)? by Seun(mod): 8:18pm On Mar 26, 2007
If the schools were all privatized, none of this would be happening. When last did Babcock close down?
Business › Re: Commercial CD And DVD Duplication And Printing by Seun(mod): 8:08pm On Mar 26, 2007
Thanks, ladies and gentlemen, for your helpful replies.

nkc:
seun, i don't know much about the company's in nija. but how about u buy a lightscribe dvd-ram writer(external), with fast burn speeds, it may well be worth it.
The problem with lightscribe is that (1) it's very slow and (2) the writable CDs with lightscribe technology tend to be much more expensive than others. Still, it may be useful for printing one or two lines of text per CD.

or check music studios, most have some copies going on, hope it helps a bit. smiley
I guess I'll have to do this at some point. Thanks.

youngies:
Seun, I know of a good one in Abuja. What exactly do you want to do?
I want to know the cost of duplicating VCDs and DVDs commercially in Nigeria. And I want a good price.

@uspry1: thanks. I may be able to import the machine, but I won't be able to use their duplication services.
Properties › Re: Geeplaces.com - Nigeria's First Dedicated Real Estate Portal by Seun(mod): 8:07pm On Mar 26, 2007
Hmm, I guess you have to decide whether you're serving real estate agents or people who want to buy houses.
Properties › Re: Affordable Real Estate In Abuja? Is This Really True? by Seun(mod): 7:59pm On Mar 26, 2007
Nothing is free in life. Any attempt to sell a product below its ideal price will lead to scarcity. In the end, only the friends of those in government will get these houses. Which is a great shame. (No other outcome is possible.)
Romance › Re: My Ideal Husband Practices A Different Religion by Seun(mod): 7:52pm On Mar 26, 2007
Get to know the second guy more, then school yourself in religious tolerance. If that works, marry him. If you are not a religious 'bigot' or fundamentalist, you will be happy with the second guy. Otherwise, you won't.

The first guy is out of the question because, as someone has said, a leopard never changes its spots. If you cannot accept your partner the way he is, marriage won't work. If he works uncharacteristically hard on the relationship just to get a ring on your finger, then of course he'll relax after you are married. Try to break up amicably. wink

Business › Commercial CD And DVD Duplication And Printing by Seun(mod): 1:31pm On Mar 26, 2007
Hello there,

Do you know anything about how CDs are duplicated and printed in Nigeria?

Do you know any company that handles commercial duplication of CDs (musical and VCDs) and maybe DVDs?

Do you know about how much it costs to duplicate one's own CDs using the various methods in Nigeria?

What about the cost of printing on the CD as well as creating and duplicating a colorful jacket for it?

If so, then please, share the information. Thanks in advance! kiss

Properties › Re: Geeplaces.com - Nigeria's First Dedicated Real Estate Portal by Seun(mod): 9:14am On Mar 26, 2007
'portals' are over-rated. People just need a place where they can read about properties for rent or sale.
Health › Re: Researchers Develop Malaria-resistant Mosquito by Seun(mod): 9:12am On Mar 26, 2007
in fact, in terms of deaths we get off pretty lightly when it comes to malaria compared to much of central and east Africa.
This means I have a point, which is that malaria may not be not all that NGOs say it is. wink
