If I was a girl, I would not allow myself to get pregnant until I'm married, because I'll know that my body belongs to me. Even if I'm having sex. Why should you have unprotected sex if you're not married? Use contraceptives! Pregancy doesn't just happen magically! It's up to the ladies not to allow any sperm to germinate inside them. ![]() |
Every overcrowded city is like that. The solution is simple: move somewhere else or get used to it! |
Moving out just seems as if it would be too expensive. The only advantage is that I'll be able to womanize freely? |
The mother of your child was just trying to trap you with a pregnancy. How stupid. That's no wife material, please. So (1) [s]Get a paternity test; the baby might not even be yours.[/s] ok, this is unlikely. (2) Learn to use a condom until you're ready for a baby. Wake up, this is 2007! |
This thread came very close to being recycled. Moving to General Discussion Area. |
I guess no country is ideal these days. The important thing is to be born to billionaire parents! ![]() |
Let's create an informal computer village price guide by listing the price of items we bought there recently! Here's mine: - 4 pin to 4 pin USB cable - 2500 naira - Optical mouse with USB/PS2 ports - 700 naira at Chuks-pee. |
Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, and Jeta Amata. |
Did it work? |
Is Genevieve Nnaji an international model? I don't think so! Her income depends on her star power, period. |
Even though the show isn't that exciting, I think it's really helping the Bank PHB brand by just being on air. |
Thanks, guys, for your positive response to this. Here's another tip. If you don't have access to a lot of capital, you need to become an expert at 'bootstrapping'. (Bootstrapping is the art of using a small amount of capital to achieve a lot in your business.) Click here to download the bootstrapper's bible by Seth Godin, a business guru: https://www.nairaland.com/img/bootstrap.pdf Now, let me try to respond to your comments: I guess you also need the support of those that matter to youIt helps, especially when you need a little capital, but it's not compulsory. Your determination is. Its cool to be self-employed. Currently in varsity and I don't want to work for anyone when I'm done.Great attitude! If possible, start planning and practicing your business ideas before you graduate. Nice topic. Not every business can target the rich. You're right. But the richer your customers are, the better. In the same way, the bigger your market, the better. The most important thing is the total amount of money your potential customers have at their disposal. My business targets the rich in a way - most ads you see on my websites are placed there by people living in rich countries like the US and the UK. By the time I convert the few cents they pay into naira, it's a lot! I think the most important thing for a guaranteed and reasonably steady income is to target a 'NEED' and not a 'WANT'.Let's face it, most of our "needs" are just important wants. For instance, do people really "need" to get married? Do people really "need" education? Will they really die if they don't have mobile phones? No! However, I understand what you are trying to say. It's best to target the most important wants first. The most important wants are the wants that people are willing to pay for. Just listen to their pockets! At time i'm considering quitting my job which has made me so unhappyIf the job provides opportunities for you to develop yourself, you probably shouldn't quit until you have a plan. However, since the job makes you unhappy, I guess you need to start developing a self-employment plan now! I have been trying, cracking my brain on one,Don't give up. Send me an email with your ideas and I'll help you figure it out. Trust me, capital isn't the problem. Finally, please make sure you read the bootstrapper's bible! www.nairaland.com/img/bootstrap.pdf |
From what I've heard, Amazing Grace is not that good. ![]() |
What an intelligent and appropriate reaction to the joke! |
I agree with you. Good examples: Desperate Housewives, Buffy. Nothing beats Friends and Seinfeld, though! |
What about small orders? |
Yes, you can make enough from a forum to pay one administrator a moderate Nigerian salary. Layi has more information: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-38527.0.html |
Hello, Here's a tip for those of you who can't seem to get the ideal job. The only way to get an ideal job is to create one! It's important to understand that nobody owes you a job - not me, and not even the government. You owe it to yourself to make yourself as an individual to make yourself useful to others in order to make money. And here are some tips for those who are interested in self-employment. - Business is about being paid to solve a problem. You need to see every problem as a potential source of profit. Instead of complaining about the many problems we have in Nigeria, you can solve them and make money. - For every business you can't go into because of insufficient capital, there are 10 other businesses that you can go into with the little capital you have at your disposal. Those businesses are less glamorous, but more profitable! - To maximise your chances of success, you need to play to your strengths. Of all the possible businesses, you should choose one that you are naturally good at doing. That will keep you ahead of your future competitors. - The best customers you can have are rich people. Seek them out, solve their problems, make money more quickly. ![]() - Honesty is important because no one wants to do business with a crook: No one wants to be scammed. For this reason, you need to avoid scammy "businesses" like 419, HYIP, and maybe even network marketing. , to be continued (please feel free to add yours) Important Download: https://www.nairaland.com/img/bootstrap.pdf |
Google knows the answer to life, the universe, and everything: http://www.google.com/search?q=the+answer+to+life+the+universe+and+everything It's 42. That answer has been checked and verified by a super-computer as the absolute truth. Consider yourself informed. |
If the VCD is not sold, the movie producers won't make any money, so please don't be anti-business. Releasing a movie in high definition (HD-DVD, Blu Ray) doesn't mean you can't release on DVD and VCD also. You can release VCD, DVD and HD-DVD concurrently and allow Nigerians to choose the one they prefer. |

High definition in Nigeria is at least 20 years away. Nigerian consumers just want good stories for now, VCD or not. |
All this was before the third term catastrophy. |
It was not a crime. It was bad driving which resulted in an unlucky result. It's not as if drivers don't make such mistakes, but they hardly ever result in death. Gah!! Supposing you open the door of your house one morning, and it hits a visitor who then dies. Is that "crime" Drinking and driving = crime. Being a bad driver = being a woman. Argh, please stop calling Brandy a criminal. |
Only a fool would throw away his life to advance someone's political ambition. |
Someone in the entertainment industry is the worst fit for an actor or actress! Husband and wife cannot be working in the same crazy profession at the same time without trouble. As the husband's career is pulling him to the left, the wife's career would be pushing her to the right, leaving the children in and the marriage alone the middle! I think what makes acting so stressful relative to other well-paying professions is the lack of control over your career. You're required to put in your best, but your fate rests in the hands of so many other people. But I would still consider it, if only because a relationship with a celebrity may be good for my business. ![]() |
Noted. I'll look into it. |
Because I won't want South Africans stealing a license I have in a similar manner. (A man of integrity treats others as he would want and expect them to treat him.) As long as DSTV is serving Nigerians like you and me, I see no problem with supporting them. Think about those Nigerians who are customers of DSTV. How would they feel to lose the EPL? HiTV can't have more than 50 employees, but DSTV customers are in the thousands. Why should the government of Nigeria issue a directive that harms thousands for the benefit of 50 people? How would you feel, as a soccer-loving DSTV subscriber, to be forced to get a new decoder and reciever? How would you feel to be forced to subscribe to two different networks to recieve the same channels? |
