Now that you've mentioned this possibility, it seems inevitable: of course they'e going to build a game console!

LiteratureRe: Inside Cia by Seun(mod): 5:55pm On Nov 29, 2006
Novels are nice, but movie scripts are more profitable.
LiteratureRe: The Other Side - Maro's Tale by Seun(mod): 2:09pm On Nov 29, 2006
I don't think we want suspense on the identity of a key character.
We can't identify with characters we can't imagine with our minds.
Where suspense can come in is when the key character is confused about the identity of maybe the villian.
If this is Maro's Tale, then we must be able to imagine what Maro looks like.
That's just my opinion as a lay person who is interested in the world of stories.
TV/MoviesWanted: Great Scripts And Stories For Movie Production by Seun(mod):
Hello,

Please contact me if you have a super story or script and would like it to be made into a movie.

Send the following information to --:
1) Your name, address, and email address.
2) A complete summary of your story in English.
3) An e-copy of 1 to 3 sample pages of your script.
4) Number of words in your story and the format.

If I'm interested in your story, I'll contact you by email. This is for a series of serious commercial projects. Even if I get 12 great scripts (or stories), I will gladly produce them all.

Please note that:
1) I'd prefer stories that are: (1) Really engaging (2) 100% Nigerian (3) Not obscene (4) Broadly appealing.

2) Stories in local languages or Pidgin English will not be rejected if they are very good.

3) Everything is open to negotiation, but your income will depend on the success of the movie to be produced.

4) Your story must be complete, although if you merely have an idea we can still have a chat.

Thanks,
Seun Osewa.

Christianity EtcRe: Is President Obasanjo Really Born Again? by Seun(mod): 9:21am On Nov 29, 2006
you are making calls everywhere in Nigeria today who else OBJ.
How many telecom masts did president Obasanjo erect? How many mobile phones did he import? How many TV adverts did he create for the telecom companies? How many recharge cards did he print?

Please, people, the credit for the telecom revolution belong to the people that actually made it happen. The entrepreneurs, engineers, technicians, and customer service people. Not the politicians!

Politicians have a very limited role in technological development - they bully innovators and collect their money.

FamilyRe: Still Bearing Your Maiden Name After Marriage? by Seun(mod): 8:43am On Nov 29, 2006
Remain in your father's house.
Snazzydawn, that is so sexist of you. Must a woman stay in a man's house? Why can't she stay in her own house?

If you cannot change your maiden name to your husband's, then you might as well not marry.
Is it the name that makes you a married woman, or the companionship that lasts a lifetime?

PoliticsRe: Is Democracy Universally Beneficial? by Seun(mod): 8:17am On Nov 29, 2006
You said democracy brings economic prosperity.
That's a false accusation. I did not say any such thing. Entrepreneurship is what brings properity. angry
Christianity EtcRe: How Can God Allow Such? by Seun(mod): 12:00am On Nov 29, 2006
gbade. x:
I think God allows evil to prove his Omnipotent and Omniscient nature, and also the prevailing of good over evil in the end. I also think He allows it, so we can make the right choices we were created for. We were created for good. Evil is a negate of good. Note, making choices says something about our freewill. I guess He also allows it so we can exercise our freewill and not just be robots.
Our freewill is not absolute. For example God has not given us the ability to do things that are contrary to the laws of nature at will. God has not given us the ability to fly like an eagle. So why did God give us the ability to do evil? Why didn't he give us a form of free will that does not lead to evil behaviour? Because he likes evil or does not exist.

But that does not cover all the evil in the world. What about natural disasters? Why does he allow them to happen if he doesn't enjoy to see human being suffering? Are earthquakes, tsunamis, and tornadoes really necessary?

PoliticsRe: Is Democracy Universally Beneficial? by Seun(mod): 11:48pm On Nov 28, 2006
China already proves this, Democracy is a form of governance NOT an economic model. The Communist government of China is doing pretty fucking well being communist.
What matters is not how the government is doing but how the people are doing.
Paper prosperity means nothing when you are unhappy. When you have a mind but must not express it.
The people of China are in bondage. The shocking reality behind this "prosperity" will one day be revealed.
PoliticsRe: Is Democracy Universally Beneficial? by Seun(mod): 11:44pm On Nov 28, 2006
Yet, isn't the problem in Nigeria, the fact that not enough people are jailed, executed and tortured?
If I was living in China, I would probably be in jail for allowing you to criticize the government.
Would you like to be executed for the beliefs you've expressed on this forum? That is China for you.
How can a government improve when people can be killed for simply criticizing it? We don't need such here.
The idea that someone who has the power to execute anybody will use the power altruistically is silly.
FamilyRe: My Sister's Husband Want To Sleep With Me by Seun(mod): 9:14pm On Nov 28, 2006
Tell your sister by phone, then refuse to meet either her or your husband without being accompanied by an elderly relative that you both respect like your brother or uncle. This way you won't be embarrased by any of them.

Thanks for the recomendation. Before we click, it begins thus:
It so happens that one day the Lord Buddha is strolling alone on the shore of the lotus pond in Paradise. All the lotus blossoms blooming in the pond are globes of the whitest white and from the golden stamen in the center of each an indescribably pleasant fragrance issues forth abidingly over the adjacent area. Day is just dawning in Paradise.
