That's not what I meant by "stakeholders". I was talking about people who are neither owners nor employees. |
A man can be convicted of raping his legal wife if she's able to collect sufficient evidence e.g. video evidence. |
I agree. I read one short story she wrote and it was "wow"! |
My email address was not working when I first posted this thread. That's a big oops! |
Everybody in Nollywood agreed that the Igbo traders have done more harm than good to the Nigerian film industry.Rubish of the first order. Go and tell that to the people who would have been unemployed without them. |
stakeholders usually want the same thing as the founders more profit!Niger Delta militants consider themselves "stakeholders" in the oil industry in their area. Are you saying that these militants want more profits for the oil companies they are terrorizing? |
Check out this episode of South Park that parodies the song: [flash=320,240] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARejSdIa5as[/flash] ![]() |
Really what? |
It's www.internshow.com but is currently misconfigured. |
Nobody is being exploited here. He has named his price; if you don't like the price, don't do the job. Period. |
The two of you are like peas in a pod. ![]() |
Tee Zero, I appreciate your advice very much. One reason why I'm considering Lagos State is the availability of broadband Internet access there. But I hate the heavy traffic, pollution, noise, area boys, okada gangs, vigilante groups, et cetera. I wonder if there are some cool and quiet areas in Lagos with broadband Internet access? |
Valuable connections are being made. I'm happy! ![]() |
The only bad thing about that estate is that the walls haven't been painted for a long time. What about electricity? Can one pay to have constant power supply, or is one stuck with NEPA? |
Careful with the caps, sister. |
are you just trying to view our stories first then know how you will work on yours?Absolutely not. I can easily go to the nearest bookstore and buy a dozen novels for ideas.I need a movie that's as tight as a Hollywood script. No offence, but some of the scripts I've been sent are quite watery. Like Nollywood scripts. There's no rising action, climax, and satisfactory resolution. Stories that just stumble forward with no clear structure or purpose. How can I buy a script that I can't even read? That's why I've been directing people to the excellent scriptwriting articles at www.wordplayer.com Some of the stories I've been sent are ok, but they are not in script form. In that case, what can be done? ![]() What I have now: - 2 or 3 pretty nice crime stories that are not in script form. Guess I wasn't looking for crime. - A good horror movie that someone is writing. The problem: I'm not really into horror. - A good romantic novel that lady refused to sell to me because she wants to eat it with okro soup. - A very personal, cemodic list of "things I want to mock in a movie" that I have been compiling. - 20 scenes of a campus story that I find to be quite dry. - The synopsis of another story that I find to be quite dry. - Phone number of several writers who say they can't send me their stories unless we meet. I guess I'm trying to be a Nigerianized Hollywood producer rather than a Nollywood producer. I want to create movies for those who are tired of watery Nigerian movies i.e. Hollywood fans! I like action, but I don't like senseless gore in a movie. A good romantic comedy will definitely make my day! |
More importantly, what is your bank doing about the "mix-up", and when do they promise to release the money? |
Why not see yourself through by creating a job for yourself? No-one else owes you a job! |
Isn't this something to be decided in PDP primaries? |
Alas, chances are that nobody knows the company on the board. What position are you being interviewed for? How much are they promising? What do they do? |
If the commercial bank capitalization requirement is increased, then Nairaland will cost more than 25 billion naira! ![]() |
hear, hear! |
" I know my daughters will not agree with me, You should cover your head at all times because of falling angels, You can always wear very beautiful hats from Paris, United states etc "Can you enlighten us further on these fallen angels and their affinity for female hair? |
It's even on my home page. Why would someone want to buy my site without checking my home page? ![]() |
I think we don't find women funny because they always want to talk about their complicated feelings! ![]() |
The work of prose (action, crime) you sent me seems to be really brilliant and original, but adaptation won't be easy! |
I've failed to find an action/suspense script or a romantic comedy, so I'm just going to write my own. Thanks! |
Moves to Properties |
You know you're working in a political institution rather than a soulful business when your work tends to involve "stakeholders" instead of customers, "negotiations" instead of straightforward decisions by a responsible individual, and "elections" instead of appointments. When the company is owned by everybody (that is, nobody!) |
