PassingShot:
The result of NA election across the country is an indication that GMB's victory was not a fluke.

People were generally tired of PDP's 16 years of mediocre performance throughout the nation with the exception of SE/SS which is really hinged on ethnic and religion sentiment. If not for those two mentioned factors, they would have voted in the same pattern as the other regions.

Let's see how PDP will fare as an opposition party even though the gale of defection we're witnessing now does not mean well for our democracy. I want an equally strong PDP to constantly breathe down on an APC-led central government because it is the only way Nigeria can get it right.

Can't the NA enact a law regulating defection of politicians?
You are right. PDP really mismanaged this country and people are really tired of them. I ve said it before that anybody that claim PDP is good either have mental problem or their is something he/she is hiding that he did not want to tell us.

You don't want that, trust me.

You need a strong opposition party to curtail APC and to force the party to WORK.
Yes we do need strong opposition party, but we have shown that we Nigerians are strong opposition to any useless government. I just wish APC will not use same divid and rule strategy(religious and ethnic sentiment) PDP used against us so as not form form opposition to them but God finally win anyway.

We say yes to Card reader, any party that is against card reader is the enemy of Nigeria.
Politics › Card Reader Opposers Are Poll Fraudsters – APC by seunfly(op): 5:29pm On Apr 06, 2015
The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has described those who are asking the Independent National Electoral Commission to stop the use of electronic card readers for accreditation of voters as poll fraudsters.

The Director of Publicity of APC in Osun State, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi, said this in a statement made available to our correspondent in Osogbo on Monday.

The APC spokesperson said those pressurizing the INEC to stop the device wanted to use fraudulent means to gain what they lost during the March 28 presidential election when the electoral used the card reader.

The statement read, “Whatever the difficulties experienced during the presidential election with application of the card reader, experience gained from its use leaves us better off for the electoral process and the credibility of the exercise, than without the card reader.

“Those who are now agitating that INEC should discontinue the use of the card reader are the losers at the last election, who want to recoup their losses, and gain from a fraudulent manipulation of the voting process which they have used in the last 16 years to stay in power.

“We vehemently oppose the idea being suggested by some interested parties that INEC should not use the card reader for the governorship and Houses of Assembly elections. It will be defeatist for INEC, retrogressive for our‎ emergent democracy and absolutely harmful to the credible electoral process which INEC is building.

“INEC can therefore not trade off this significant milestone in its efforts to sanitise the electoral process which allowed spoilers a breathing space to cynically enjoy their crooked pastime of vote rigging.

“This will not only damage the hard-earned esteem INEC has had since the March 28 presidential election, it will also disappoint Nigerians and the international community and endanger our democracy that has just emerged from the doldrums of its stagnated past.”

Politics › Don’t Abandon PDP, Dickson Urges Faithful by seunfly(op): 5:22pm On Apr 06, 2015
Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson, has urged the people of Bayelsa to keep faith with the Peoples Democratic Party.

He made the appeal after a crucial meeting with key political stakeholders in the state, in Yenagoa, a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said on Monday.

He described Bayelsa as a traditional home and stronghold of the party, from the advent of the present democratic dispensation in 1999.

He said the people of the state, especially the political class, owed the party a duty to remain loyal and committed to its principles, goals and ideals, which had become a part of the state.

According to him, as one of the major beneficiaries of the party, in the time past, it has become even more expedient for the people to remain resolute in their support for every programme of the PDP with the governorship and State House of Assembly elections still to come.

He stressed that Bayelsa could not afford to sit on the fence now, but maintained its ever relevant and dominant posture in the affairs of the party.

He used the occasion to renew his call on every Bayelsan, who truly loves and wishes the State well, to turn out en masse and vote massively for all PDP candidates in next Saturday’s State House of Assembly polls.

Politics › Re: Jimi Agbaje Should Desist From Making His Mandate An Igbo Agenda by seunfly:
You are right, honestly I don't like this type of campaign. During the presidential election they made the campaign Igbo thing and people now see them as enemy of this incoming government, I wish igbo should have kept their support for Agbaje silent and express themselves during voting but as it stands now Igbo leaders have directed all their arsenals toward Agbaje at least in public, any result now will still be anti Igbo because if Agbaje wins people will think igbos sabotaged them and if Ambode wins it will still looks like they did not support him and few political post they got under APC will vanish.

I think it is right time they learn to spread their wings politically, their arsenal should be spread out along all political parties.

The same way you Southwesterners hate Jimi Agbaje for his party and are now threatening the Igbos for supporting a Lagos State indigene above a migrant from Ondo State.

Bunch of bigots and savages.

Woe unto you hypocrites.
First of all i'm not from Lagos, so it is non of my business what ever party Lagos votes for, I only wish Lagos can vote for APC to be at center for the first time. We all know Lagos was denied so many things since 1999 because they belong to the opposition (example the rail that was delayed because FG refused to guarantee the loan on time to aviot using it as a campaign tool) and this is the best time for Lagos to benefit since it is the birth place of this same opposition.

Secondly, nobody hates jimi, he has left APC just as others left PDP and Igbo have the right to vote for who ever they wish but the act of deliberate sarbotage of the interest of their host community for no particular reason other than usual rivalry is very unwise.

Thirdly read my post very well, I said I only pity Ngige and APC should reject any PDP senator because I feel he/she is benefiting from the sweat of Ngige who suffers this unwarranted behavior.

You can take your time to read this post carefully and all my other post to ask yourself if you are justify to call me tribal bigots.

Corruption, once corruption itis takled things we become normal.
Corruption in the military is one of the reason why they could not tackle BH effectively, corruption is also one of the reasons why power is not stable.

Tackle it effectively and watch things fall into place, it may not be fully but it will inprove significantly.

I only pity ngige, he worked, suffer humiliation and rejection because of the party he belong to but now he can't even benefits because of the the hatred they have for him. For ngige alone I would have loved it if APC reject any southeast PDP senators who want to defect to be senate president.

I am from Ogun and I don't see things in the same lens as you.
You know exactly what is on my mind, they just love division, this is one of the reasons Jonathan was sent packing.

You may go back to your village where competition and hatred is common. As for we Yoruba's we don't care which state or religion all we want is benefits of democracy.

Yes, the PLC has been the very bad part of PHCN, when Prof Barth Nnaji was the head as a minister, the electricity was fairly better but when he was kicked out and the PLC people took over, everything went bad.

The most annoying thing was when Jonathan extended is corrupt attitude to military to deny him of his certificates. It is a very bad precedence which we should not allow other presidents to emulate, imagine if your university denied you being the student only because you are contesting against one useless, power Hungary desperate president.
