PhonesRe: Mtn BIS Now Has A Data Cap Of 3gig by seunpayne(m): 11:13pm On Mar 11, 2013
so, this is what I have learned. according to mtn, the reason for this confusion is a so called network upgrade. now if u browse with a vpn, please dont stop. if you do, they will cap your data and block your SIM. by that I mean you wont even be able to use it on bb too. speculations suggest that all the bis plans will be scrapped im favor of a bundle suiting bb10. and no, it wont cost 1500. it will cost 3500. all existing subscriptions will be allowed to expire and subsequently be migrated to the new plan. all glitches would last for the rest of the week while the "upgrade" takes place.

as for those assuming they would switch to etisalat...its a matter of time till they follow suit because they would need to provide a plan for bb10 and it cannot be unlimited.

but as always, we started with Freedom and operamini proxies. we'll always find a way.

fast internet is awesome. but fast and free is even better.

Employee Notice.
EMPLOYEE NOTICE
**********************
> Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, the Government has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.

> This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).

> Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to the Government to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).

> Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).

> A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as the Government deems appropriate.

> Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

> Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED anyfurther by the Government.

> Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. The Government has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens.

> Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your MP, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

I read all that? First of all, you are from the UK and the best place to get this advice was from nairaland? If na d guy come here I for understand.
Someone said you sound immature. I would second him/her.
As unbelievable as this is, it is a No-No-NO!!!
No you don't have enough between the two of you to call it love
No you are not ready for the next step because both of you are clueless as to its direction
No you don't waste my time reading all that.

RomanceRe: Should I Tell My Ex-Boyfriend That I Want Him Back? by seunpayne(m): 11:56pm On Oct 05, 2012
First of all that is a terrible plan so don't do it.
Secondly, you must have loved break up part 1 because you seem to be setting yourself up for part two. If he felt half the way you wanted him to feel, he would have called (I didn't see that in your post so I assumed).
There is a reason they call it "getting over". It takes time. Don't run back because it hurts. Ride it out and when you are ready, get yourself a man who'll star in your forever and happily ever after. Good luck
RomanceRe: Can She Forgive Her Husband? Pls Read Ur Advice Is Needed by seunpayne(m): 11:42pm On Oct 05, 2012
First of all, make una go easy with the "dump him" posts. That's just selfish. Grab a bible and see how the world repaid Jesus and then advice God to dump you.

Op, its tough and there is a lot of hurt but if you love this Gold digger (yeah I hate him too) then dumping him will tear your heart further. You have kids for this fool. If he came back and asked for forgiveness...try to forgive him.

About getting back, ya'll need to talk and sign contract sef. Its your company now. He can work for you but he needs to understand that as far a bizness goes...you don't trust his ass. If he truly is sorry he'll accept that. Build your marriage again (if he wants too) and keep work away from him (he is like a recovering alcoholic).

Most of all pray and surround yourself with people who love you and will see your hurt and not just that someone tried to take away your money. I wish you well and hope you heal in time

RomanceRe: . by seunpayne(m): 11:24pm On Oct 05, 2012
First of all...NO!! Its not just you and yes most girls will interpret what he says the same way and most times you are right.
However, despite public opinion some guys are just not as attentive as we pretend to be so its possible that he is being honest and has no idea how you see what he says.
Now if you are already fighting about it then it is a big issue. Heading in that direction is breakup not happily married.

He could change (doubt it) if you are patient to explain how you feel and he is matured and loves you enough.

But whether or not he is cheating/planning to cheat or just not so sensitive it is not cool to tell your girl that crap!! So straighten this dude out. Have the talk (you seem like a very smart person) and then figure out if he is cheating or just cant_see_my_girls_reaction dumb and act accordingly but fighting never gets the job done.

Go get your ring

Oya madam park well!!!

Yes you are attractive and yes your man now has competition. Nothing new.
From your post it would seem you are more concerned with getting married than who you get married too...no matter.

If you've stuck with your man this long and you feel this way now then it might be time to look at the big picture.

You have two options
1. Stick with your man and show him why he needs to put a ring on it

2. Say you are tired of waiting for "next month" and find someone who wants you "now".

Remember to send me the I.V for the wedding O...good luck (I'll keep the jonathan)
FamilyRe: My Husband Is Threatening To Divorce Me For Petty Reasons by seunpayne(m): 11:06pm On Oct 05, 2012
Well...there are always two sides to a coin. Perhaps there is an underlying issue because like you said, this is way to trivial and since you didn't mention him being immature then I think this is bigger than just food.

Without his touch for a week? Too much information.

Marketable? You think you can do better than him? Are you already considering the divorce?

Madam please have a heart to heart with your husband and save your marriage. Some women are wondering where their husband ate and why they are never hungry when they come home.

The Husband Store ...
A store that sells husbands has just opened in New
York City, where a woman may go to choose a
husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is
a description of how the store operates. You may
visit the store ONLY ONCE!
You may choose any man from a particular floor, or
you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go
back down except to exit the Building! So, a
woman goes to the Husband Store to find a
husband. .
On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.
The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and
love kids.
The third floor sign
reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, and are extremely good looking.
"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep
going.
She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, are drop-dead good looking and help with the
housework.
"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand
it!"
Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love
kids, are drop-dead gorgeous, help with the
housework, and have a strong romantic streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she
goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor.
There are no men on this floor.
This floor exists solely as proof that women are
impossible to please.
Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
Watch your step as you exit the building, and have
a nice day!

sunical: No disrespect. If this were a private stuff, your claim that it would be completed in one week is enough for me to assume you won't be able to do the job. What we are looking at here is not a Drupal, Joomla, or Wordpress powered site or one framework-enabled site. We are working from scratch and there are so many advanced features involved, and some won't be added until we get a corporate bank account, etc.

You are the first web developer I've met that never asked of the features of a website, but keep insisting on the duration to complete it. It's funny. Do you know if we even have money to host it yet?

Please, if you want to lend a helping hand you are welcome. Most of us here have day jobs and we are doing our best to ensure YAN gets the time and commitment it needs to grow. But if you keep insisting you can complete the website in one week, I will keep having doubts about you.

If you are willing to help, drop your email here and I will contact you.

Thanks.
You assume much and know too little. I require no framework information nor did I ever mention using a cms site. I'm the first web-developer going for a week? Well, I would have thought curiosity will at least allow you to see what I offered before you began casting your doubts. My offer stays withdrawn but just to answer questions you were to proud to ask.

I had a team standing by ready to work to your specification. I was willing to let YAN have their services so as to speed things up. Do your home work a bit before you put people down. My dad liked the idea and was willing to pay for everything...including the hosting. I never claimed anything. I just gave my word on something you failed to give me a chance to prove.

If this is the welcome you plan on giving future members who wish to help...well. I've said too much already. I will see this site you insulted me for and for your ego's sake I pray it was worth it. Let YAN make do.

@dailyNews I see we have made it to the frontpage. A position well deserved and long in its coming. I will advise that we change the original post to reflect the payment required of new members so as not to seem misleading. Just a thought though
LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by seunpayne(m): 8:52pm On Sep 03, 2012
@sunical I withdraw my offer. I hope to see the website soon and wish you luck in its creation. Hopefully it would dwarf that which I had in mind. I would however be cautious in offering my services in the future as I do not wish to see them scorned. Let YAN strive to attain the heights untold and may success be our lot.

Uniquexty: @emyo,* cain in hand* take ur tym. People wey dey write exam no dey eat and play again? Na heaven u wan go? Abegi, let me hear word. If i find u 4 dis thread ehee...*wags my tail* @all, gud suggestions. My oga only made a suggestion and if there's one tin dat trips me in YAN, Its maturity. We treated the issue well and he has agreed to remove it. Seunpayne et al, who tinks we r more involved in politics.... I scream a loud NO. The reason why we are stil hear is because we dont have people yet who say you do dis and you do dat. Yes, u want someone to delegate assignments, but who's that person? Ok. Can you see how many people who indicated interest resently, no one has even said hi to them. We have over 100 members but only a handful are NLers and so someone has to be feeding the rest with informations but who's that someone? We have many online sites for writers where a member can come up and post his/her work and people comment. Its part of our vision but this is something different and bigger. Like a family house. For our website, we have dedicated members who knows wot service means and they are doing their best. We already have a working e-voting site and soon our main site wil be ready. Please, if u indicated interest in the club, check your mail. I live YAN cos YAN ROCKS
Well said. Point taken. You've helped make my point even more solid. Are we supposed to take all this time squabbling about who's post is what? We are first of all writers and YAN isn't rocking yet because we aint writing yet. An e-voting site? I see how that is what we really need right now (I'm being sarcastic). Main site will soon be ready? Amen.

I don't mean to be pessimistic but sitting on our hands and waiting isn't getting us anywhere.

Suggestion: Bring up our short term goals. Let's take a delegation vote tomorrow. See how many of us here are in the position to step up and act. I believe (judging from the optimism) by this time next week we would see major improvements.

I'm not all talk and no show. Hook me up with the team building the main website. You have my word that within a week we would have it working, hosted and ready for our members.

I believe in YAN. Let's make it ROCK!!!
LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by seunpayne(m): 9:56pm On Sep 01, 2012
Peaceworld: We need to discuss the constitution before we talk of registering our association. Seems it's you who haven't really been following the thread. Politics is important because there must be people who will eventually run the affairs of this assoc....hence the necessary discussion because those people will daily affect our lives when we set off finally, get it?
No I don't get it. Do you have a ball point figure of your members yet? You speak of running affairs and yet fail to mention how those affairs are to be set. I have no qualms with the constitution. I do have an issue with the politics however. We are nigerians. Politics at this early stage (especially after following this thread) is but a measly distraction. We already delegate responsibilities to zonal co'ords. We held meetings. Decisions where made in these meetings (at least that was what was said). All I'm saying is this: more action!! Is that honestly too much to ask for?
LiteratureRe: Young Authors of Nigeria (YAN) -Join Now! by seunpayne(m): 5:20pm On Sep 01, 2012
Sad to say, but we have lost focus. Politics? Seriously? Constitution? Good Idea, Bad timing. I don't want to rain on your parade but I thought the main focus was to get the word out and bring more people in? What's with the squabble for positions? Positions that will have to be relinquished once we gain focus? I'm yet to hear of a standard by which the qualification for these said positions is to be ascertained. I don't know your name, but whoever drafted that constitution was on point. I say keep up the good work.
As for the talk of a supreme power/ founder, I think you forget your place. A founder is just that; a founder. He who seeks to lead must first prove himself a worth leader. I will follow and so will most...but who? Who has proven as much? I don't concede to online rants and chest-beatings. Take no offense for no slight is intended but until we have seen and said leader has given a reason to follow...abeg bone that talk.

Finally, I keep silent because I value action a lot more than words. Of all the things we have set as goals, how many have we achieved? Nairaland is a channel but we have no where to call ours (and if I see one more facebook group ehn). We need to act. Talk is cheap. Instead of delegating positions of no concert, let's delegate tasks and have these tasks carried out. That is the way forward.
I will carry out any task I am appointed to the best of my capacity. I urge us all to do the same. This a dream. We can bring it to life.
