FIrst draw CRS obviously depends on what the pool looks like at the time and the number of ITAs...it's anyone's guess.....once they start regularly, hopefully the CRS should reduce as they conduct more draws, all things being equal.

Thanks for the clarification.. I hope FSW draws happen this year, as at Monday 08/11/2021 there are over 25,500 applicants with a CRS of Above 471.

Depending on your NOC, you'd be perfect for OINP HCP....provided you don't claim the 15 sibling points, this takes you to 465.

Read more on the OINP website.

Once all programs draws start, with 3k per draw, within 4 draws or so they'll be at 481, all things being equal.

I am confused about this statement, are u implying that when the next FSW draws hold, the points would be above 480? If I may ask, what point range are u looking at?

It's so hard to actually know who's real and who's not. I am tired of Nigeria. How do you get proof of training, competence and experience from a building expert like you mentioned? Ask the person to provide certificate or what? I once encountered an architect that claims to be a building expert. Now the question is, would you allow an architect to build your house? And the big names here on nairaland.com will scare you away with their quotes because they are trying to create some buffer do to inflation. It's just tiring mehn.

In addition to this, who is expected to build a house?
1. Take for example I want to build a bungalow or a duplex, who should build it, is it a builder, a civil engineer, an architect, a QS, or a building contractor ( someone who just brings and manages artisans)?

2. What criteria determines the knowledge/license of someone who can build a house?
a). Is it by the formal education they have received
b). Years of practice/ on the job experience ( informal education)?
c). Number of trainings they have attended on buildings/ constructions?

It would also be good if the professionals in the house can identify with their trade/training/area of expertise..

I'm just thinking aloud, since you know Gbadexy is an expert in paint production and painting, don't u think it would be a good idea for you to give him the project? Atleast u will be rest assured of the quality of the paints.

I agree with you to an extent, but I have a question for u at the bolded.. what is the work/usefulness of the double pivot (mcfred) used by OLE if they can't provide basic cover for a LB or RB?

GloryIsaac:
Tuchel’s system doesn’t care who plays LWB or RWB. Once whoever is deployed there can heed to his instructions, chances are they’ll play well.

The Chilwell noise-making is baseless, because if Alonso or Azpilicueta played there, they’ll also perform well. Only Odoi seems to have an issue playing as a wing-back.

So, if it’s based on recent performance, might as well say Alonso and Azpilicueta are better than Shaw too, as LBs. Which isn’t true.

Also, Tuchel’s system gives his wing-backs some defensive protection and more freedom to attack, unlike United where the LB has to handle both offense and defense.

Once Shaw moves to attack, his space is left open. There’s no cover, unlike at shekpe where the third CB or the Anchorman covers the LWB or RWB
.

Chilwell is good, but comparing him to Shaw because he’s benefiting from a working system is being completely mischievous. Shaw will eat good if he enjoyed a similar privilege.

Happy birthday Naptu2.. You are an enigma.. your knowledge and depth of information cannot be rivaled by anyone on NL. Your use of various social media platforms even makes me envious (at one point I was questioning if you are a young man but I have learnt from ur posts and how u recall events from memory that u are an ancestor grin)

I have a request, pls can you be more explicit when you post on your diary.. You make reference to events that are yet to happen and u just drop them without giving any hints as to specifics..

Happy birthday once again.

Don't get me wrong.I am not against u referring other artisans.

I am just saying " refer and move on", " refer and put a caveat"... Never use words like I am sure he will deliver (it can be termed as constructive obligation on your path)

I come in peace

some of us are products of referrers i will take myself as an example... most of my clients i dont know them, they will tell me that someone refer me to them,. I don't take that grace for granted. the borehole guy just was just an unfortunate person, i told him if he deliver back then that I will keep referring him to more clients... there are lots of people on this forum that i can refers with my eyes closed.. what i have learnt is that i will not receive payment on your behalf ..

i was to travelled to far east some times ago, and the client asked me to source for best plumber, kitchen cabinet, painter, pop and all for him.. i did that for him without any incentive.

If you’re the electrical contractor hinted about by the client, will you allow him to at least pay for estimated materials?

Not sure if you guys do that in Nigeria,
I don't know if he is the potential electrical contractor, however,I know that your recommendation might not be possible because even the major wiring factories have all increased their prices and have paused receiving payments from their distributors.

Building right now is so tough and challenging.. someone made a recommendation recently here that a owner/builder should look for a cement distributor and pay well in advance to lock current cement prices.. I laugh at such recommendations because the distributor would at best offer to refund the money paid when the time comes to deliver d cement paid for.

@n3xt, can u please practice what u preach... Pls stop responding and arguing with your client online. When u both sealed the contract, it wasn't done online.

As u have always preached, put a call to the client and sort out whatever outstandings u have on his project.

This job was an opportunity for you to clean up the mess and bad reputation that u were known for on this forum. It is so sad seeing that u are on the verge of messing it up.

Now I understand why people like Hajj and the other respected elders have always warned newbies about u.

Maybe telling your workers you do not intend screeding the house even if you intend to will make them give you a good plaster job. I plan doing this.
and maybe additional incentives to the workers, I think @n3xt should share his input on the best way to get the best out of plastering workers.. he is good with people and performance mgnt

Back in the days people dont screed their houses but this days it's like norm. What really changed? Am planning on screeding my on going project though, maybe because everyone else is talking about it or doing it.

Again, what will happen if dont screed
A similar statement made was some years back by Brabus, I remembered he saying that it boils down to the quality of workmanship of the plasterers.. even brabus now screeds his buildings... I think screeding has come to stay

I remember that thread... You talked about importing the car for personal use from UK and something with converting it from RHD to LHD.
erico2k2:

U know, I can tell that some persons never import anything into 9ja from their stories. There is nothing you wont find in 9ja mkt unless you dont look in the right places.my personal story, I dnt know if you saw my range rover thread: anyways I bought the front wind shield for nearly £1200, was going to ship it with the car, o n same day nah so I say make I shift the glass small make I put something inside car nah so I hear chaaa chaa cha, glass shattered, I was so upset and frustrated. I called my boy at Lagos to go and price glass for 2013 range rover sport cos I dnt wanna risk it again shipping it in the back nah so E come back say Oga nah N25K both fixing and buying, I said are you sure he said yes Oga nah Ware house, Chinese people get big factory here nah there we all dey buy any glass. Behold when I arrived I only paid N25k, the moral of my story is this. We have the best of the best in our makt in Nigeria for Nigerians, its just have to do with the size of ones pocket and they way you carry your self plus expectations!

Pls would appreciate it if you can share pictures of the doors when they arrive Nigeria.

Would like to compare them with what is obtainable in The Nigerian premium wooden door market.

I know some here has posted some high quality wooden doors in the past, would like to see the difference btw our high quality wooden doors and the foreign wooden doors you ll be importing.

diordaves:

Forget abroad levels. I be Warri-Sapele brought up. 18 foot, yes but straight no bend? That thing is looking for a virgin in a maternity ward.

Straight wood die with AT&P. But one can't know it all. Please share the area for Sapele and I will send someone to check it out. I'm about to import wooden doors from B&Q because of the poor cut quality of woods available. I will need a lot of recutting and sanding to get the doors to the quality finish I want and I don't want to do this.

This posts reminds me of when my dad used to be a contractor with JB and Costain. He was supplying them with woods, I would hear him begging his guys to ensure they follow the exact specifications on the job order... Sometimes the woods are rejected during delivery whenever the QC spots any inconsistency. However, these companies paid premium price for the quality they desire.

n3xt:

This is so wrong though.

Would sawmillers sell crooked and substandard woods if some people are not buying them?

Well we are different though. I knew what I want and I paid the price.

Meanwhile there’s Julius Berger AFP for those who want best of naija woods
