Yes its possible to use money market funds and treasury bills but if the source of funds is new (within 6 months) you will still have to explain how you got the funds.

Accountants please read important information on conversion to CPA Canada especially those considering the ACCA route. Effective 1st May the route to CPA Canada is same as with ICAN as both are IFAC members, you will require exams to get the Canada CPA as an ACA or ACCA.

Submitted passport: January 13 2021.. VFS Lagos left our Passport hanging because we didn't pay transmission fee.. ,The holy spirit nudged us to call on Jan 27. Our passport was just sitting in their office with no attention.

We paid for the transmission fee that same day and followed up aggressively to ensure that our passports were sent before Feb 8 2021.

Passport dispatched to Accra Feb 1 2021

Profile approved: 19 February 2021

Passport Delivered: 11 March 2021

In all we used a total of 6months from submission of application to CoPR.

God be praised.... I pray for divine speed for everyone on this journey.

The Igboness in me is suggesting that you put the staircases where I marked brown, then converting the former staircases marked green to shops. Thus will add additional one shop on each floor of the building. ����

I also like your opinion as it allows every shop owner enjoy flow of human traffic and gives them visibility as more customers would have to walk down to the end of the plaza to use the stairs.

Congratulations, It means your passport had been stamped with Immigration visa which will expire in Aug 2021. The next hurdle now is to get Authorization Letter (AL) to travel before your COPR will expire.

Your course of study doesn't affect you being able to practice as a chartered accountant.

To practice, you need the following:
1. Pass the ICAN professional exams
2. Get the required accounting experience

That's all.

No limitation whatsoever... Graduates from any discipline can practice without any hindrance.

Although there is a little apprehension, will a person who eventually got chartered as an accountant with science degree still be regarded in future? Because u know in naija anything can happen.

It was this same naija that we witnessed science graduates barred from practicing their profession because they were not licensed since 2009, they continued to prohibit them from even other sectors that has nothing to do with the license!

This is the major fear or concern.

Well I will advice such person to go for ICAN. The value placed on ICAN certificate is much more than a Nigerian MBA asides LBS MBA. If funding is not an issue, will advice the fellow to write ACCA, so that he/she can get the B.Sc in applied Accounting alongside the ACCA professional certificate.

This is a very good and laudable initiative, so many people have complained about underpayment and different forms of scams perpetuated by clearing agents.

most provinces are not accepting CIMA case study, some did but have stopped. You are to write the finals stages of one of the listed bodies. Case study is just one paper of the final stage of CIMA. Best bet wait for acca/cpa revised MRA or dive into the CPA with ican.

Not correct, the big 4 in question has a mandatory 3 months notice period for all confirmed staff whether above or below manager level. It is stated in their staff handbook.
