All what you have here are misconceptions. Stop misleading people because you want to make money. I know what I am about to type will make.no difference to you but I hope it helps whoever comes across your page. Plant stem cells will only help plant cells regenerate and human stem cells will only help human cells regenerate. It doesn't work the other way round, human stem cells won't work in plants and plants stem cells won't work in humans. Apart from your own recorded testimony, THERE IS NO CLINICAL EVIDENCE that these supplements work. Instead they give false confidence to patients and people, a large percentage of who will still end up in the hospital after exhausting money on your needless products. |
Uche1993:https://www.nairaland.com/889053/pregnancy-pregnant-going-through-high/6380 Concerning your pregnancy complaints, you can ask about anything on that nairaland thread. There is a warm community of women waiting to answer your questions and help you out. Also, if you plan to keep the baby, please start taking Pregnacare and other prenatal multivitamins. Concerning marriage, neither of you should be pressured because of the baby. Not him and not you, if what you wrote is true. People marry for different reasons, people stay in marriages for different reasons but please I'd like for you to ask yourself what you truly want. A happy home? A man that respects you and you respect too? A partner you are sure has your back no matter what? A good father to your kids? No one is perfect, the essence of life is in learning and doing better, being a better you today than you were yesterday. If not, you will just be making a mistake, trying to patch things that can't be patched up later on. Best wishes |
Where is your proof? This same news has been debunked on other sites, the two women are not even near identical. Do you people sit to think about the effects of all these slimy gossip in reality or all that matters to you is traffic to your fifty kobo blog? If she decides to sue you, can you afford a lawyer? Please always confirm before rushing to posting such. P.s I am not a member or her church or a fan, I just dislike fake news and gossip bloggers |
KarinaLove:I am not spoiling your work, you are posting false, unconfirmed drugs that have no scientific backing, research also shows that they do not work. I am simply letting you know to do what is right and stop posting misleading information and blackmailing sickle cell patients and their carers and family into thinking stem cell drugs work when they don't. Don't give anyone false hope. If you have nothing productive or helpful to say or post, it is better you don't say anything or do anything. This isn't how to help. If you were intelligent enough, you would know the right thing and how to do it instead of talking about guilt here. Do the right thing For yourself For others |
KarinaLove:Aunty, I am a health worker. No sane human being will post unverified thrash and keep hammering on it like you do. This assignment that you claim you did and you want to help sickle cell sufferers while indirectly touting stem cell therapy is dangerous and misleading. These are patients who already spend so much to take care of their health, yet you want to send them on a wild goose chase claiming stem cell therapy (phytoscience) works. Please do your research and stop causing more hurt and harm to people trying to make the best out of their condition. Your reply says a lot about you and many Nigerians, so arrogant, very difficult to teach, unwilling to learn and research (information about the efficacy of this drug is everywhere online) yet you still came here to say crap and are proudly defending it. You 'stumbled' on something, yet you created threads on it, kept writing about it, if you are so interested in helping, you can as well buy the drugs and give it out to those willing to try. I can get you a list of hospitals and foundations to approach and seek permission to distribute the stem cell drugs to in case any of their patients will be willing to try. Even if you are not ready financially now, I am sure you can save up, since you 'truly' care and want to do so much for the sickle cell community. I will be waiting |
What happened to humanity? Out of desperation and a need to sell your phytoscience drugs (that haven't been proven to work anywhere in the world except videos you guys post), you will guilt trip parents, some that already feel bad and are trying their best. Have YOU or any of your loved ones ever taken this thing and it worked? May others not kick you when you are already down. Please do better, I know you can if you try. |
Imagine that he doesn't go to see a dentist. The tooth becomes abscessed He keeps trying all these herbs and drugs, hoping he will be one of the lucky ones that they will work for, after all Nairalanders are vouching for such. Then the abscess gets worse, there is bleeding and pus and he can't sleep. Then he develops cellulitis or worse, Ludwig's angina (which can be fatal if not managed promptly. Suddenly he needs money for tests, hospital admission, incision and decompression, expensive antibiotics (and he probably doesn't have enough money) Then instead of 8,000 he would have used to have a simple extraction or a bit more for a root canal therapy, he and his family have to cough up thousands. God forbid he dies, someone from somewhere who didn't know the origin of it all will now come online to blast the hospital and doctors that attended to him and ask "how can an ordinary tooth ache kill such a promising, healthy, young fellow". A few friends will probably come together to beat up the poor doctor and threaten fire and brimstone. All over something so simple that was neglected until it spiralled out of control. Meanwhile the Nairaland advisers are living on, neighbors that suggested all sorts are living on, one of them or a family member will probably have dental pain and they will rush him or her down to a Dental clinic...and on and on |
Your six year old most likely has no adult premolar yet. The premolars don't come into the mouth until 8-12 years depending on if your child is an early or late erupter and if it is an upper tooth or a lower tooth. So now, this tooth in question, is there pain, does it disturb or bother your daughter? I think you should take her to a dentist for proper examination and you can then decide what next you want to do. |
Prisco4luv:Sorry about your son op, please try to work with your medical team and get proper referrals to other specialities to be sure he gets the best. Hbot is hyperbaric oxygen therapy and it is basically delivering oxygen to the body tissues inside a chamber, it has no benefit for your son. Hbot is not for everyone and only a few medical conditions including chronic osteomyelitis have been proven to get any benefit from it. The moniker that made that comment is just a desperate marketer who goes about touting hbot as the cure to every ailment under the sun. Please ignore him and others like him. Herbs and alternative therapy may not really have a role to play, it just wastes money. Do your personal research, work with your medical team, and with dedication and time, you will see results. Best wishes Sending prayers and love to your wonderful son |
authority2006:Maybe you should google conjunctivitis and compare to what the Op pasted. This isn't conjunctivitis See why the Op needs a professional and not all these second guessing on Nairaland? You don't even know what it is, you don't know the cause or symptoms, and yet, here you are..... |
Anuoluwa12345:There are some things that are not negotiable, health is one of them. Orile Agege General Hospital for example, the eye clinic card is 500# only. It is all about priority. There are many mission hospitals and health centers, some primary health centers have eye clinics. It is mainly who we are as a people. |
Nigerians are really wonderful people. You have eye issues, according to you, it is urgent. Next thing, you are on Nairaland to ask? It could be an infection, it could be an allergic reaction, the cause determines the treatment and trying random eye drops being suggested here may do more harm than good. It is well |
If the nature of the job is that easy, maybe you should just do it yourself. You should even be scared if anyone accepts the job for such a low amount. The desperation that made him take the job (probably because of the free feeding and accomodation) will fade quickly and it will be replaced by worse feelings, I doubt your dad or client will be safe in such hands. Can you accept such a job for that amount? Why can't we all just do unto others as we would have them do unto us? Please have a rethink. |
Please Nairaland is not a dumping site for junk, forwarded news. This article just aims to promote a balm. 1. The hospital exists but there is no record of such a doctor working there or anywhere online. You can search too. 2. You don't have to encourage his disparaging remarks about Nigerian doctors by sharing this. 3. The Anthrazek balm is available in Nigeria (even on JUMIA, and costs 12,300). Not many Nigerians will drop such an amount for a 50g ointment with unproven efficacy so the next thing is to share such news about the 'wonderful' drug. 4. Rheumatology is a well established field in Nigeria and no, joint diseases are not so easy to treat, and especially not by a combination of aloe vera and blah blah. 5. There is no record of any Center for Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Nigeria online as quoted in the article. Please research well and do your homework before promoting such. |
tziz:Teeth extractions are generally safe and painless. Wasting time and trying all sorts will just keep you in pain and do more harm. You can read more online and watch videos, just choose a good clinic and maintain a good oral hygiene once you sort the painful tooth. Touch and go causes chemical burns in many people and doesn't take the pain away permanently. The tooth may still have a chance of being saved instead of being extracted sef, but Nigerians ehn, we really are special. |
64kent:I noticed you simply created the account to advertise your Clinic. Please can you write the expected total cost? Is your clinic as affordable as a government dental clinic? |
Please take her to a dentist, please ignore the first suggestion and do not use charcoal on her teeth. Charcoal is too hard/abrasive and wears away normal/healthy part of the teeth. She may simply have stains on her teeth from her diet that may need to be cleaned professionally and it is inexpensive. Or she has pitted/rough surfaces instead of smooth surfaces on her teeth. Do you give her herbs, dark chocolates and tea frequently? Also, try to make sure she brushes twice daily (in the morning and last thing at night after meals) with an age appropriate toothbrush and a good toothpaste |
I can't believe a grown adult sat to write this then added a link for people to continue reading. You are better than this, you can do so much better. Also, it is none of your business what people do with the pictures of their babies. They are sha not hustling blindly on opera news with it. Then as it if wasn't enough, you downloaded the picture of someone's babies and still added it to your silly post. |
Dental crowns are actually pricey, lab charges and the high cost of the materials as well as expertise involved makes the price high. For an anterior tooth you may use an acrylic jacket crown (15,000 and above) but for he premolars or molars, it is better to have a metal based crown that can withstand chewing forces. Porcelain fused to metal crowns are from 35,000-90,000 in Government hospitals and from 40,000 and above in Private hospitals. I will also advise that you crown the tooth so it doesn't break and you now still have to end up removing it. Best wishes |
kowasco:Please are you using hot water or warm water? Is the salt too much? The ideal thing is that you should use warm water and a tea spoon of salt. Since the pain is only on using warm water and salt, I am guessing you are almost healed. You can go back to your dentist, if you are sufficiently healed you can reduce the number of times you do the warm saline mouth bathe or stop it. |
sunnp:Op, Your child has retained primary teeth while the permanent teeth are erupting in a wrong position. Now the normal thing is that baby teeth should fall out while their permanent teeth will replace them but in a case where you have both sets of teeth, it is always advisable to take out the retained primary teeth, and doing it early too. If you leave them, they will/may fall out eventually but then the teeth may already have a bad arrangement and you won't be happy with that either, especially knowing there was something you could have done to avoid it. Now, I understand your concern as a parent but I can assure you that teeth extractions are painless. Local anesthetic drugs will be injected around the teeth, yes the injection will sting a bit but they work very fast and the area is usually numb within seconds. Your child will be given painkillers after the procedure, please take them immediately after the procedure and then as prescribed so there is no pain after the procedure. Please read up about the effects of dental crowding and retained primary teeth to have a better understanding of what you are dealing with. Once they are gone, the constant presence of the tongue on the back of the wrongly positioned teeth will move the permanent at the back forward and into their proper position. I have attended to a child that the teeth were well arranged after barely two weeks of taking the retained primary ones. The earlier the better, remember. Best wishes |
Braces are used to rearrange teeth and the duration of the treatment can range from 12months to several years depending on the severity of the malocclusion. Hence, it is quite rare to see NGOs that help with it. A few Dental clinics in Nigeria do it as CSR each year, you can try to search for them online. Your best bet though is saving up for the orthodontic treatment in a government hospital. Total cost of treatment may be up to 500,000 including x-rays but you only need half of that amount to start and you spread the rest of the payment over the course of your treatment. Best wishes |
The information you need is everywhere online. Yet you chose to misinform people. The Moderns vaccine has been proven to be effective against covid 19 and was donated to Nigeria by the US. The roll out started in August and is nationwide, not just in the Niger Delta. Primary health centers everywhere, even in Lagos administer it.
|
Yes please, you can brush your teeth but avoid the extraction site. That's also an advantage of the warm water and salt especially after eating, it helps to clean the mouth. I hope the pain is gone now? |
Post tooth extraction instructions 1. No spitting out and don't use a straw, it can cause negative pressure which will make the site bleed more. 2. Please your drugs promptly, you can add paracetamol to the painkiller you were given(I am assuming you were given Ibuprofen or diclofenac) 3. You can always go back to your dentist tomorrow if the pain doesn't subside. 4. Please start warm saline mouth bathe tomorrow (24 hours after the extraction was done) Boil water (preferably in a flask since you have to do it many times daily), now take a small cup, pour hot water into it, add a teaspoon of salt, mix it and please let the water cool down a bit (it should not be too hot or too cool. Now take a sip and make sure it gets to the extraction site, you can bend your head if it is an upper tooth. You are not gargling, just hold the water there and spit it out when it is cold. If you gargle or shake your head too much, you may shake the blood clot in the socket out and cause bleeding Each cup should have about 5-6 big sips, but each cup is only once and you are to do it at least six times daily, so that will be at least 6 cups daily. Before and after meals, before bed and any other time you can do it. Warm water and salt really helps to ease pain and promote healing and is very very very important after any tooth extraction. Best wishes |
Trying to educate Nigerians is tiring, very, very tiring. I also noticed that many people have this disdain for Medical practitioners, they would rather patronize their 'common folk'. I wonder what can be done, how did we get here? Is it education? An educated person on Nairaland met a charlatan for toothache and bragged about how the toothache went after the man bathed his tooth with a substance he later realized was acid. Like you saw a man, opened your mouth wah and he put something into your mouth A man you don't know from Adam, no permanent location to get him if anything goes wrong! Is it poverty? Many of them pay very high rates to charlatans, e.g Nairaland's dr Wale charges 25,000 to treat staphylococcus and people pay. How can a normal person take the words of a random 'aunty nurse' over a Pharmacist? Then when things go south, they come crying to the hospitals, claim bills are expensive despite spending more on Charlatans and later open threads like a lady did about how Nigerian dentists only extract teeth and never treat. Aunty, did you go early enough? Why? Why? A child will have appendicitis and next thing it is 'aporo epa ijebu', what is wrong with us? How do we get better? |
Sadly, Nigerians will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever learn. You should not even wait a second here to think twice or doubt before fleeing from such schemes. Greed is bad Ignorance almost has no more excuse in such an enlightened time as ours. They just want to rip people off, no one ever shares legit, simple means of getting money. |
Op, It is most likely you are the owner of the youtube account, the bn in your name are the initials of the youtuber's name. You recorded the scenario and brought it here hoping people would join you in castigating the woman. I am glad to see you getting the replies you deserve. I doubt you live in the neighborhood. It is wrong to go about recording 'yourself' in 'people's spaces' This video was terrible and infuriating. You blew it all out of proportion and even if she initially challenged you because of your race (though she still had the right to do so despite your race), your responses were distasteful, crude and classless. You could have done so much better. This is not about strength or weakness, it is about doing the right thing. You are nothing like the topics you are trying to carve a niche for on YouTube and your page is definitely not one I will be going near. You should sit and think about how you could have done better then try to do better and be a better person. If you were not in the wrong, trust me you won't have to be here attacking comments and having to defend yourself. Happy sunday |
