Op, elimsun , I hope you are willing and ready to defend this if called upon by the management of the hospital or the Lagos State government if this is taken up? If you claim that this was copied, I hope you are also willing to explain why you are misinforming the public. Also, can we see the small card that was given to the boy when he went to the hospital to be sure he was there? A prescription comes as a single sheet, this picture has an entire booklet, indicating that someone probably got a booklet, filled it and churned this out. Please I will be waiting for your response. Thank you |
Thanks for d info.. I ain't feeling any pain nor infection and it's very firm but the tooth got broken like 10yrs ago. I will try luth[/quote]Ok, that sounds good. Best wishes |
Op, Treatment depends on the health of the tooth, how badly broken it is, is there pain or any swelling around it? Is the tooth discolored or loose (shaking)? 1. If there is pain and it very loose. -Xray (1,500-3,000) - Tooth removal (extraction) (4,000-12,000) - Replacement with a removable denture (5,000-15,000) or a bridge which is permanent and expensive 2. If there is no pain and conditions are favourable, you can have the tooth built up with composite (8-10,000) though a crown is a better option but more expensive. The price ranges from government hospitals and primary health centers to private clinics. Luth, Lasuth and phcs will be be cheaper. You can check all those things I wrote above on google, and think carefully before asking me any question. I don't have the patience for the lackadaisical and/or entitled attitude of many Nigerians. All the best Also, whatever you do, please try to do in good time, the more you wait, the worse the condition of the tooth becomes and you will go through pain and still have to cough out even more money. |
Op, I am sure you saw others ask for contact details but I will ask again. Please post a phone number or email address anyone can reach you on to confirm this. |
MrBrownJay1:There is nothing absolute in medicine. This is to correct the notion you have about extracting teeth. In saner climes, prevention of dental diseases, conservative and restorative dental treatments are the mainstay of treatment. Here in Nigeria, most patients present very late when teeth can't be treated and will need extractions to get rid of the pain and infection. Reasons for late presentation include; Dental fear/anxiety, fear of pain, cost of treatment. Most people would rather buy herbs, visit pharmacists, buy 'fix-it-all' toothpastes that provide temporary relief. You will be amazed when you hear what people put in their mouths to get rid of toothache, even petrol! Then when the tooth breaks, has an abscess or pain is unbearable they run to a dentist, claim treatment costs are expensive, ask why they need to pay for cards bla bla bla.
|
Stellynelly:If this was indeed true, trust me dear, you won't be on Nairaland typing this and hustling to sell your products. |
Op, please see a dentist. Don't suffer and still have to extract the tooth later. Most people who use all sorts of herbs, petrol, hydrogen peroxide still end up in the dental surgery, and will complain about costs, ignoring all the money spent on herbs. The treatment depends on how badly fractured the tooth is. *If the fracture isn't that bad and it is possible to save the tooth, you can have a root canal therapy done (you can read about this) and then crown the tooth though the procedure is expensive anywhere (government or private hospital)* If the tooth can't be saved, I will advice you just have an extraction. It is honestly not easy, you must be scared but most drugs and all only offer temporary relief. Also, ask your dentist about preventive measures so you don't have a similar issue again. Avoid chewing hard foods, brush twice daily(morning and night before bed) with a medium bristled brush(not hard). Your teeth may be weak, some may have hairline fractures and other issues already, these are the things you need to sort and you can also go for a dental check up once in a while(shouldn't exceed 2,000 in a year once you have a card) |
Op, please take your mum to a good hospital before things completely go out of hand, many primary health centres are affordable if you are considering costs. Many people here will just push their unverified and almost useless expensive 'herbs' and natural supplements to you. |
Another beautiful day ...another idiotic blogger.
|
Joyfulmama:Congrats Mama, The cookies and fenugreek seeds boost breast milk production. I got mine from Rofemiguwa on Nairaland. |
Untrue. He was never human Maybe you will get the traffic for your blogs you are searching for with truthful, interesting and enlightening posts.
|
toragema:Please don't mislead people because you are trying to make sales. This is simply a plant based supplement and there is no proof online, I also have personal proof that it doesn't treat any of the conditions y'all claim that it treats. Fauziyat, God is with you. I pray you receive total healing and grow in God's strength. Ifyalways, Mama Zaynie, God bless you and keep you, Amen. |
SKYloafFISH:Ouch, wanted to refer you to a Dentist to help in Lagos. |

Good evening guys, Please this is just in case anyone has read this post, would like to help and needs verification. I haven't seen her yet but a fellow Nairalander from the pregnancy thread was at her place yesterday evening to verify and yes, she is very legit. She stays in a small community not far from Megida, Ayobo, Lagos(about 10 minutes and 200 naira bike for a single passenger). She is indeed pregnant and past her due date and she has been able to get just a few things. The first trimester scan report gave her EDD as the 19th of October and the most recent scan this month gave it as the 27th(I have a copy of the scan report) I have tried as much as I can to gather some baby things(though I haven't gotten them across to her but hopefully tomorrow morning) but she still needs a flask, and diapers especially and any other baby item anyone may be willing to help with even though they are not new. Please if anyone would like to help, please reach out to her, please I beg you. Thank you |
waleco2008:Contacted her and raised the issue on some threads if anyone can please help verify, if there's a favourable reply I will let you know if you are interested sir. |
Debclem:Thank you ma. Please be careful and please post an update if and when you can. Thank you |
Good evening mamas, hope we are all good. Please I am sorry for disturbing you. I just came across a thread created by Debbysuave where she wrote about being pregnant and in need of assistance. I called her to verify and she said she stays around Ayobo, Lagos, it is not far from where I stay and I plan going to check but I may not be free until Saturday because of work, please if any one can help us verify tomorrow or Thursday, I will really appreciate it though I will still try to do so. Please she said her EDD is October 27 so it means she will be putting to bed anytime soon. Yes, it is super awkward but please let us come together to help her once we can verify, please. She hasn't gotten the items on her hospital list though I intend to help with some of them as well as some clothes(new and worn by my DS.) Her number is on the thread she created, please check it if you can and reach out if you can. Thank you |
