PrinceOfLagos:And who is the choice of Yoruba? And how do you know this? |
JosephXavier:The South include the SW,SS,SE. If there is a SE that can beat Osibanjo,Tinubu,Ameachi in the primaries then so be it. Now, do you understand? |
Abegii. Its one thing to have PVC, its another thing to use it, its another thing to have the right candidate to use it on, its another thing to use it on that right candidate. |
InoGetJoy:Are you saying we should repeat the same mistake? Obi was governor of Anambra when IPOB was founded in 2012 and they made Anambra their HQ. What did Obi do about it? |
Antivirus92:He was the governor of Anambra for 8years and IPOB was founded in that period (2012). |
sniperr007:Yorubas DO NOT adore Fulanis. Igbos literally kill themselves every Monday, that has nothing to do with the Yorubas, does it? |
Agwotulumbe:Are you not tired of the blame game? We keep blaming one person/group or the other while innocent lives keeps getting murdered. What is the solution? |
Its truly sad but in life you have to move on and try to take any useful lesson from the past. Except a war (which is worse than all that we have seen so far) happens, Nigeria is not seperating anytime soon. And even if Nigeria seperates, the leaders of each region are more likely to be the same leaders we have now or their protege. At the moment its about each major tribe protecting themselves while staying in the sham of unity. The question to ask ourselves is; As a SWner, do we have a better chance of survival with another Fulani/Hausa man-Atiku in the most powerful seat in the country or with our own fellow Yoruba man in that seat? What are the chances of these attacks by the Fulani herdsmen happening in another SW state with a SWner as president? And dont delude yourself, you may dislike him, he may be a bad leader but one thing about Tinubu is that he puts SW first. Osibanjo is a good man but can he beat Atiku in a presidential election, even if he wins; is he radical enough to give these Northern bigots 'wotowoto' if required? Do they fear Osibanjo like they do Tinubu? Security is even more important than the Economy. You have to be alive to enjoy the dividend of whatever Economic plan Osibanjo or Peter Obi have. Peter Obi couldnt even do nothing significant about IPOB killings and Sit at home. Think about it. I'm not a fan of Tinubu as a person but Nigeria is the lime that we have been served, we have little or no choice but to make lemonade out of it. You fight the devil with your own devil. |
This is Peter Obi's state BTW. but some think he can fix the security issue of Nigeria as a whole. |
What are the chances of this happening with a SW president like Tinubu? they wouldn't dare. |
Fahdiga:The problem is that Osibanjo is less of a threat to Atiku. |
Impressive |
sogodihno:Who do you think will be given APC ticket? |
I envisage a situation where many aspirants step down for Osibanjo only for Osibanjo to shock everyone and step down for Tinubu. Osibanjo is a family first kind of person that wants to grow old and see his grandchildren more than he wants any seat of power, he also knows that he wont beat Atiku. |
If the APC ticket goes to anyone other than Tinubu, then the Northerners have indirectly selected their kinsman -Atiku as the next president. It's a game. |
Oysters:Bro there is a chance that these Northerners respect their brotherhood more than any party loyalty. If the ticket goes to anyone other than Tinubu, then they have indirectly selected Atiku as the next president. It's a game |
If Tinubu wins the ticket then we will know that the Northern delegates truly want the presidency to be zoned to the South. However; if Osibanjo emerges as the ticket holder then we know it is a sham by those Northern Governors to keep their fellow Northerner (Atiku) in power because there is no way Osibanjo will beat Atiku. |
I'm just picturing a scenario where Buhari backs Osibanjo and Osibanjo surprises every one by stepping down for Tinubu. It will be so hilarious ![]() |
But why have a consensus candidate when in reality he isnt really the consensus choice as all party delegates are not in agreement to the choice? Do normal election and let every party delegate vote their choice like was done in PDP. That is fair. Whether its Tinubu or Osibanjo or even Ameachi; let the ticket be given to some one that merits it based on the choice of majority of the delegates. If you are so sure of that consensus choice , then other candidates will step down and support him just like Tambuwal did for Atiku. |
Vulturereloaded:And how many states do you think Peter Ovi can win in the North? |
Ronaldo made a big mistake coming to this club. He was emotionally blackmailed into rejecting City for Utd n they dont even appreciate all his effort. He should move to Bayern, they need a striker with Lewy leaving. |
Seizing the bikes is one thing but its an actual waste to destroy them. They can be used for other things or resold to china at a lower price. |
We all know he did all that he said. But he doesnt need to blow his trumpet. Him doing so could mean that he isnt getting the support he envisaged from Buhari and co. That may mean majority of the party delegates have leaned towards Osibanjo. This is getting interesting. |
These clowns should stop treating this presidential and governorship seats like inheritance. Which one is a second term governor is given the priviledge to select his successor. Do election for everything. If its about getting a candidate that can rival Atiku in the North, they have no one that can do that. |
StrongandMighty:I'm not a fan of any of the presidential candidates but the way you guyz over-emphasize this age thing is ridiculous. Franchise is for anyone above 18. And being young doesnt guarantee a good leader. GEJ was young and Nigeria was worse than the time of the "old" OBJ. Gowon was the youngest Head of state ever but it was in his reign that Civil war happened. As informed citizens we should be more concerned about what these men have to offer not their age or some zoning BS about their tribe or religion or even gender. I will happily vote a 75year old muslim woman from the North to be the next president if she has the right structure in the country to have a chance of winning (so i wont waste my vote) and actually have plans that are feasible with a trackrecord of delivering them. Age,Tribe,Gender,Religion should be the least factors to consider. |
Even among those that have been collected, many wont be used. You see we laugh at the Northern paupers for selling their votes meanwhile we are just as bad or worse because many of us dont even have a PVC and half of those that have wont use it on that day, among the half that is remaining, many will use it to vote those that we know have little or no chance of winning-wasted votes. All of these favours the incumbent party. |
The hilarious part here is that she is also a black. Imagine a black woman racially insulting other black women. She no get sense. |
Pere and Maria ![]() |
Amaechi feels like the blend of radicalism and youthfulness. Unfortunately, I'm not sure about his real intentions neither does he have the supportership required around Nigeria. |
Sowore is better at being an activist than a leader. We all know Tinubu is corrupt, why hammer on an already common Knowledge instead of campaigning for yourself to be president? |
So what did his transport from London to Lagos acheive? |
The senate is the retirement home of Nigerian governors. |
