Most of such mistakes in the writings of Paul can be traced to his background as a pharisee and also the pride that is usually assiociated with the educated or those that Jesus called "the wise and prudent" which usually makes it hard for them to be able to enter into the kingdom of God. And i think that Paul could really have done with learning at the master feet as the other disciples, for some of such issues which Paul had, had already been addressed by Jesus in the lives of his disciples whlile he was yet here on earth, such as Paul's desire for power and supremacy.
