Assuming Nigerian Government have been building this kind of Estate housing unit for all Nigerians all across Nigeria, crime would have reduced a little bit, Nigeria would have look neat and well structurely organized. Nigeria metro planning and urbanization would have been fantastic. This is how Europe and USA Canada Australia was built and laid it urbanization legacy up to today.

Iswap leave innocent civilians alone don't add more horror than the one Nigerian govt is giving them. I wonder why everyone cannot just agree to be fellow Muslims under an Islamic state governed by Sharia criminal justice system. That way I believe Nigerians will learn how best to grow a nation.
Can't work in Nigeria, Nigeria is a secular State you can force religion on people. Islamic religion is not a religion of compulsion and it does not warrant anybody to kill people because they did not accept religion. There is nothing like this in Islam. If you want people to practice Islam then you admonish entice and convince people show them the beauty of Islam not by forcing or causing destructions of lives and properties. If I am the President of this country I will declear total war on bandits and boko Haram. I don't tolerate terrorism and nonsense

In as much as he’s coming to serve Nigerians diligently and to help revive the economy and bring about a prosperous Nigeria, he will be president by the grace of God and the support of majority of reasonable Nigerians.

He’s a well educated Accountant with a solid background in the private sector. He worked with some of the best companies in the world before voluntarily exiting the private sector to serve the country as a Senator. When the third republic collapsed, he joined other Democrats to form NADECO and fight for the democracy we all enjoin today.

As governor of Lagos, he was excellent. He was instrumental to the formation of Nigerias governors forum and also provided leadership for the southern governors forum. He led the battle for the creation of Local government, state police, abrogation of onshore/offshore dichotomy and other matters that are essential to a properly constituted federal system of government.

Sentiment aside, I can’t think of someone better qualified to be president than Tinubu. He’s a square peg in a square hole. He will unite Nigeria and set her on the path of shared prosperity. Dear Nigerians, if 2023 is the question, Asiwaju is the answer!
I just pity you my brother

when you say we are better in a fair and equitable Nigeria. you are only talking about you and the political ruling class who continue to use Nigeria as a business enterprise to self enrich your selves and your families. i dont blame you i blame the millions of Nigerians who are yet to embark on a revolution to take back their country from their corrupt self centred politicians.
Nigerians have already accepted defeat and have accepted it as their faith. You mention revolution?? Ordinary protest self they would not come out nobody wants to die.
Programming › Re: Must Everybody Go Into Tech Or Learn Coding? by Sheriman(m):
Nigerians always wants to saturates any profession because of hear say or mouth watering offers in that field not until when they eventually enter to discover some strange difficult things related to the particular field. Many people who are running to tech today does not know what it takes or sacrifices you have to make before becoming successful at it. I can say 80% of them have not realize what is in stock for them to learn and to have.
Also, some Nigerian tech facilitators maybe because of money they want to gained from these young people, they will not tell them all the truth about the field. Everybody can't be a programmer there are other lucrative digital technological profession. Infact they are many technology field just make a deep research then come out with your own findings. 3D Animation is a multi million dollar industry which people don't always talk about unlike programming. There are hundreds of jobs you could do as a 3D artist or 2D artist. Anyways, becoming boom at any of them requires a lot of sacrifices.
Nigeria is a country where people are easily convince with the huge amount of money a job is paying and the opportunity it offers everybody will want to go there where as everybody can't sacrifice what is needed to become good at it.
Programming is not a child play profession except you want to become those Nairalanders wack developers. It is life long learning field. You always keep reading, learning and practicing because this is technology and it is always get updated with introduction of new programming tools framework and libraries. You always have so many things to do just to remain relevant in the modern digital technological trend.
It is not a must you become a programmer if you're not ready and willing to get your hand busy all the time, denied yourself something you love doing. Sometimes it could be so tiring and frustrating especially if you run into bugs in your codes which may take you days to solve.
I think people should make proper research about any skill they recommended for them before jumping at it. Before earning that huge amount of money that is freaking you to want to become a tech guy, it comes with a lot of sacrifices, years of brainstorming of writing excellent codes, days of fixing bug and errors in your codes, years of reading documentations, years of using your codes to provide values and solutions to people and years of thinking to develop scalable software application with greater functionalities that provides solution to problem human are facing today.
You can see that the field is not for the lazy ones or someone who easily get fed up of something.
Thank you all!!

Shoodboi:
Thanks for showing us the truth. The way these guys hype transport business is something else.

When you point out the fact that those in the business would be living well if it was that lucrative, they would tell you drivers and riders are illiterates who spend their money on women and alcohol.

I wanted to go into it some time ago (and give the keke out on hire purchase) but changed my mind after discovering a few of the underlying issues in the business.

I didn't even know most of the ones you mentioned here, but the ease with which they steal that thing is insane. They're very easy to steal.

Not to talk about the security agents, council, agbero & everyone extorting you.

You brush motor, wahala. Motor brush you, another wahala.

And they don't last at all. They're just thin pieces of aluminum. Even wind can blow them off.
All those Keke are fake with short life span. Those clueless aboki people at Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) whey supposed dey check the durability and ruggedness of that machine but does not know anything about mechanical automobile engine. That is why those manufacturing company are producing fake Keke and importing them to Nigeria selling them at a very high prices. Buying Ordinary Keke for 1.5million Naira.. This country is useless!!

Same way they rush saturate POS business
My brother you no lie at all, Nigerians will want to do every business without proper research and considering some essential factor attached to it. They saturated Keke driving they saturated POS they Saturated Gas filling they saturated everything.

A wise man once said, how daft he is represents how daft his supporters will be. Whenever I look at your post, I keep on agreeing.
What facts do you have to prove that twitter makes $11 billions annual from Nigeria. $11billion is almost half of its annual revenue. By the way do you know how twitter makes their money? They make it through advertisemen. Now how many Nigerians advertise on twitter?

Even Facebook that is popular among adverters don't make more than $5bn annual from Nigeria.

If only u are wise, you should have research and confirm the statement your daft leaders posted before spreading it. Nigeria has the lowest cpc with lowest conversion. They are not regarded even many social media blocked Nigeria from using their services

Music/Radio › Re: RENO - Why Does Music Of Yoruba Origin Breakthrough Globally ? by Sheriman(m): 10:26am On Jan 13, 2022
Not only in Music but I believe Yoruba people will dominated the information and digital technology industry in Nigeria. Presently, 80% of tech guys on Nairaland and in Nigeria whether amateur or Professionals are Yoruba people. Many of them are freelancers or remotely working for American Canadian and European tech firm.
The future is so much bright for tech guys in Nigeria if only you are not lazy to learn.
Yoruba guys are entering tech and doing perfectly fine in this area.

I have read so many comment here tonight OMO some of my Nigerian people have seen worst moment of their life, experience so much humiliation and tribulations of this life. Though I have never been embarrassed in my life and I have never shamed or embarrassed people. I can't do such because I don't want anyone to do the same to me. Not that I am rich guy or come from a rich home but I am just a village guy from Ondo State doing perfectly alright for myself. I have started hustling during my secondary school days up til my university education even now that I'm a graduate we still dey hustle dey go. We must make this money but must be legitimately and I stand firm on that. But one thing I noticed is that in our society people tends to respect you when you have little change at hand you dress well you smell nice you look good people will give that respect and honour.

It as a result of unprofessionalism of the developers they recruit and poor pay. You will visit some government or private company websites you will be frustrated to navigate around the website. Some function of the said website will not even work and if you lodge complaint they would answer you.
Poor aesthetics poor navigation poor responsiveness poor fonts usage.

Most Nigerians are stubborn and don't really care about their lively hood, all they care about is their "brother" or "tribesman" to be president..... they don't care if they suffer, if the economy tanks, if the person has foresight to pilot such a complex country forward.

Right now Afenifere and other groups will largely be talking to the wall cos most people have made up their minds on who they are voting for.
More reason why we will suffering in this country we only vote our leaders base on tribe and religion nothing more than this.

OlawaleBammie:
i have three in mind but i dint know the best as per future purposes and availability

1) web development
2) cyber security
3) the subject of this debate( app/android developer)
All field are lucrative in tech but ones must choose the field that has available materials or resources like well detailed written text books, PDF files to download, the documentation of the programming language to read and practice on internet and has well versatile experience developers who has written so many codes to learn and read study from their codes. Person must also look at the demand of the particular field he is going.
Web development is good area. It is highly demanded in Nigeria and in Europe and America
Application development is also good whether IOS development or Android development are highly demanded in Nigeria Europe, Canada and in America
Cyber security is well demanded in Europe, America, Canada Australia but in Nigeria I can't assure you that. We haven't reach that stage
3D Animation is also a lucrative field if ones can venture into it but it is capital intensive
