@ all gurus, the market is really looking dull rite now, i hate pos as much as the next person but things are looking kinda dull rite now, that mite just be the last option with all the offers coming out. do u guys see any improvement soon

i think u should hold on for the unity for now people are dropping it currently, maybe u should chill at least till they release their results and analyse for yourself.
the e-allotment wont take anything less than 6 months going by the trend with these banks

i had a few thousand unity shares myself. the rumor of the merger with ecobank spurred it on a few months back but now as it has no released results whatsoever and no fundamentals people are dropping it and hence the price is sliding rite now. hang on for a while

una neva stop to discuss this topic e sure say na dangote hold pass. although na politics help am.

personally, i think first inland is overpriced, it has a forecasted eps of 20 kobo , so really nothing spectacular ,unless its results prove the forecasts wrong. however, if they do merge with diamond bank, there might be price appreciation, not my best pick though.

@ wanajo, havent seen u on the stockmarket naija forum in a while!!! would u rather get japaul now on the floor or wait for the p.o., i expect a bull run once the suspension is lifted.

@ all, does any1 know when wema s full year result will be out?

stanchuks, i think sterling bank is more of a long term buy(probably over a year) if thats what u want.but i think nigerian german in the next six months should be in the 25naira range

hey all, another relatively cheap stock must be c and i leasing, this should finish the year with an eps of 40k, and a dps of 20 kobo, another potential 10 naira share in the next few months to come. who knows how long the japaul suspension will be, i want to know so i dont get mnoey stuck there for three months, i dont intend taking part in the po but prefer to buy from the floor. also according to proshare, standard alliance insurance will be coming to the market soon.

@easimoni, thanks fo your help the other day. in my calculations, i noticed that the dps most of da time is about 2-3% of the shareprice at the time, i think this is a gud way of predicting the price of a stock with no other competitor in its industry(cos u dont have an average p.e ratio) like japaul oil or c&i. for instance, japaul has a projected eps of 0.4, with a dps of about 0.2, so by tmy calculations, it should be a 10-12 naira stock. makesense or ami just blabbing

@ easimoni, from u ,aylala , frank and wanajo i have really learnt a lot about eps and pe ratio and all but i have 2 questions 4 u
1) when calculating p/e ratio do u use the latest eps or forecasted eps and if u use the latter where can u get forecasted earnings.
2) in ur last post, u said wema wmight get to the 2o naira range, how dp u predict a specific price based on these calculations

wel actually gtb is already out as of this morning. they are selling global depository receipts. am not sure where they can be purchased .minimum of 80,000 for investment and ends on 19th july 2007.

@ pelican. do u have a cscs account number. if you do why dont u check it out and find out what ur stock position is. u can check this at cscs office in marina. if u dont have a cscs number. then ur guy might be playing u. do not panic! yet. holla if u have more problems
