Our people could be stupid sometimes. I have a friend that just secretly shared 25k each to 40 of his friends & ex-classmates struggling in Nigeria. This guy get large extended family in Nigeria o. I heard a few of them were complaining that it was too small. Is he your elected state governor or politician looting your commonwealth? He made space from some of his own bills, family, home repairs, vacation savings etc to help and you are complaining? Buy ticket, go hustle and do it your own way mumu ![]() |
You first have to make a claim to become a liar ![]() I never made a claim about Lagos. You came to Lagos from a wawa clan in bathroom slippers with a nylon bag crossing several states to develop yourself and now you claim you developed Lagos. That's a liar. We no dey even vex. Now we are begging you to go back home and develop Enugu now that Lagos has developed you. Shikena! ![]() Irony1: |
I am in my state - Enugu is several states away from Lagos ![]() Irony1: |
Go Enugu, now you dey foam for mouth dey talk Okitipupa ![]() Irony1: |
Focus. I never mentioned Okitipupa, which is still close to Lagos. I never claim I left Okitipupa to come and develop Lagos. You mentioned far away Enugu that is obviouly close to your wawa village. Why not just move to Enugu instead of deceiving yourself on top Lagos matter? You can never be a Lagosian, you are an Igboman from a clan in wawa. Be proud of it. Irony1: |
Excellent. Igbos have no excuse then. Move to Enugu enmass. Leave Yoruba's Lagos alone. Shikena ![]() Irony1: |
Simple arithmetic. Go and use your development skill in your village. Shikena. mikeapollo: |
Final signal that no further Chinedu attempt will be tolerated ever again n Lagos ![]() |
Yes I understand the debate between prosperity gospel and biblical gospel. I just want Bro Righteousness opinion on this ![]() janeedema: |
Yes, I need the info on happenings elsewhere so I can challenge my own local/state government officials to do something meaningful. Lumarstone: |
Brother Righteousness, your input is needed here. As a Christian (follower of Christ), is this pastor supposed to be preaching on being rich on earth (Mark 8: 34-38) or is this a case of misplaced priority and longer throat? ![]() |
Just imagine the total number of flights in tne USA every month!!! |
More safety oversight is needed. USA is known for high safety standards. For additional context and knowledge, Estimated average daily flights (2022): USA: 28,000 China: 14,000 UK: 7,000 Canada: 4,300 France: 3,800 India: 3,000 Russia: 2,000 Brazil: 1,300 South Africa: 700 Nigeria: 500 |
I disagree. I know that your position is the default in most organizations but this is an online discussion platform and the conversation that this transparency generates will help a lot of people get better at leadership, management and interpersonal relationship. Thank you for this Seun and I hope when things are settled Mukina would share her side too with all openness. It's clear that the door is not closed if still needed when the storm clears. wonlasewonimi: |

You are right. He was actually in shock at that moment but should have been smarter. If he had dropped flat on the ground with some dramatic reaction the psychological effect on Nigerians would been totally different. The area boys on my street would be like "Na juju confam. Even Yakubu himself couldn't believe it and wanted to commit suicide after the match". ecolime: |
O baje ti! Dancing to Ruger. Asiwaju ni mi, fking baller Ighalo...... |
This has been going on for ages. Racoon: |
Actually, it's your inborn inferiority complex that sees it that way. Emancipate yourself from it. You are an African boy, stand up with pride as your ancestors did even in the helplessness of captivity. igwedubai2: |
If you can't use DHL or other shipping companies you are on your own. I carry nothing for nobody. Patronize our shipping businesses and grow the local economy. Stop being cheap by inconveniencing another person and exposing them to danger. They will think they are being nice until they land in jail by carrying load for the wrong person. |
Excellent job. Keep moving! Psalm 23:5 on you, on Nigeria as a nation, and on all men and women of goodwill in Nigeria including Nigerians home and abroad. |
NYSC is another 'platform' that opened peoples' eyes to developments that fly under the radar across Nigeria. Serving in the South East, and even going back years later, you wonder why people just love creating a different impression from glaring reality. Travails of the people should never be hidden just to present a front of some imaginary millionaires' enclaves. To what end for real? placeofallure: |
They only saw the beginning of the downward slide with him forgeting that he totally lost control to full scale corruption across board covered up initially by unprecedented inflow of oil revenue at a period of the biggest oil boom in history. ifeco4: |
Nigerians with their quick judgment never know their real enemies. Electricity workers, generator importers and greedy investors ganged up against this man and nailed something on him knowing fully well that you will always find good material for quick irrational judgment on anybody. They found a conflict of interest. When Kemi Adeosun became a clog on their wheels of impunity, the same people that she updates every week on plans, progress and challenges, bringing hope & sense of belonging, were the ones who jumped on the train of quick judgment. She left and impunity reigned. No one interested in saying no to the jackals anymore, Kemi Adeosun never understood their language and won't play ball. Glad Prof Nnaji remained focused on his dream and made it happen. A true leader. |
I tried it twice and found it disappointing. Sweet is relative when it comes to food. Mexican food is said to be very sweet, I tried various combo many times and couldn't relate - same with Ghana jollof .abobote: |
Must it always be about animals? Ask how Nigerians survived the dark years between June 12, 1993 and liberation after Abacha's death in 1998. There are very healthy plant-based meat alternatives that Nigerians have been doing long before celebrity oyinbo healthy-living bloggers got primetime. Also, that period gave birth to the popularity of Zobo, Kunu, Wara-Soya (see image below) etc. Tough times never last but tough people do (Robert Schuller). That period came and passed, this period will pass too. However, the poor will remain among us. It all depends on what you do during the time of adversity. Over 200 million people can't be busy complaining about food and government handout, that is stupid and shameful. Let's rise up as real men and women.

Got to be that overhyped Oha soup for real ![]() |
That is exactly where I pray Nigeria to be. Healthy competition around progressive developments. The way we do our stupid "I better pass my neighbor" mentality should start manifesting in our local and state governments. We want badass competition across Nigeria on who has the best roads, hospitals, schools, markets, resorts etc!!!!! Do it directly or reach out to investors to get it done. Bottomline, get it done. You are right. This place can turn anyone into something else and most people just come here to catch fun. A typical Nairalander will just read the headlines and react, no context. Not attacking anyone as I have also done it since I joined NL so I'm guilty. I'm glad the thread author is taking the right steps by seeking proper medical diagnosis towards finding a solution. This place na yeye place o. SALLYBERRY01: |
