You can't give what you don't have. That's why FOUNDATION is more important than HELP (will make sense to those who can think beyond the surface). Help will find a way to come whether you need it or not but what is MOST important is what you do with it when it comes! Many have been receiving help for several years with nothing to show for it.
Building a truly solid foundation is key and other things will flow into it. What are you doing with your spare time today?? |

PHAYOL81: Seyi should've just let them be. 2027 will teach them the lessons they opt out of getting. I hope they'll be bold enough to present OBI (for president)and CHINEDU (for governorship)races all over again. The sad truth awaits them. For now, let them have the field so they can enjoy their 15minutes of fame like they had pre-2023 election.
EVEN dissociation can never save GRV CHINEDU political downfall in LAGOS. He had indicated he never rate the tradition, heritage, culture, belief and future the YORUBA race stands for SO IT'S EXTREMELY ABSURD SUCH INDIVIDUAL ASPIRE TO REPRESENT AND PROMOTE THE HERITAGE AND PEOPLE HE VERBALLY DOESN'T ALIGN WITH IN MINDSET, CHARACTERISTICS, CULTURALLY AND EVEN IN LINGUAL ATTACHMENT. It will be a miracle if he wins a seat in LAHA self let alone the state highest seat. |

You are right, Atiku stole some voters who would have opted for Obi but in the North nobody stole shishi from Obi. He was unknown in the key decisive states. In fact, Atiku could also claim that Obi stole his votes, many who became obidients were never going to vote APC. On APC, they maintained their major strongholds, grabbed a few more and rightfully won. Poiniyisworld: There is a clear difference between losing and being stolen from and also a clear difference between winning and stealing to win.
I just hope you can digest what I have written |
Celebrities › Re: "Baba Suwe That Stopped Downloading" - Seyi Law Dragged Over Comment About GRV by Shikena(m): 9:55pm On Mar 12, 2024 |
The reactions are understandable. A huge percentage of Obi's followers are first time voters regardless of age and most of them are yet to come to terms with the reality of general elections in Nigeria. The height of their electoral experience is student union government election & many of them have never even experienced that. Your candidate would clear your polling unit and most of the units across your state and that gives you an impression that the same thing was happening in Damaturu, Birnin-Kebbi, Ila Orangun and Kotangora then you start dancing kerewa. When results start coming in from unfamiliar areas, padded and unpadded by all parties, then you realise how huge Nigeria is as the largest black nation in the world in terms of population, then you go just humble and start looking for the most appropriate excuse to latch on for backing the wrong horse |

When he had the opportunity, after securing his family with state funds in private investment, the only thing he had to offer while helping the people by cutting cost of governance was to invest in Hero beer so his people can tie wrapper, walk with swagger to the village square and drink away their senses while hailing each other as billionaires. Very accurate. Here in Ebonyi, food is very cheap. Same with Bayelsa, Jigawa and Ekiti Ask any well-traveled businessman, contractor, transporter, NYSC official, trade unionist etc. All depends on where you eat. Restaurants are not charity organizations, they have to pay rent which varies by location, pay employees, etc. Each plate you buy contributes to the payments. |

Are these requirements for presidency part of Nigeria's constitution or you made them up inside your anonymous bedroom? Tareq1105: When he returns, tell to start with local council chairman or state house of assembly.
Presidency for Sowore is a tall order for him. He should be patient to learn. The violent don't take it by force in Nigeria. You have to be patient and keep your jokers to your chest. Making noise wouldn't work in Nigeria. We all saw how Tinubu was behaving like a mumu until he got it. |

That's the objective of the little help. Those who don't need it can always share it with the needy. N5k will help some students buy handouts, spread it around richie240: Thanks for making me laff!

I don't think he sent money to change the situation in Nigeria or for the recipient to achieve anything, he probably just sent something to help a bit. I don't see any issue with that even if he sent N5k. richie240: @ d bolded: Perhaps so. Perhaps some of them over there have that feeling we are really suffering over here or they underestimate the effect of inflation on the money they are about to send.
Perhaps they think 10k can achieve much

I don't think he was showing levels with 20k in Naira or $12. I think he was just helping out. Give it out to those in need if you don't need it. Yes the shout of hunger in the last few years is really loud and even much louder after subsidy removal. It was not like that for 16 years so helping out during this period is not inhuman and I don't see any show off in 20k or even N1m. richie240: My bloda, what is worth doing is worth doing well
Again, the key word here is: our nigeria ninja didn't ask him for money and as a result wasn't expecting a dime. The other guy has been in obodo oyibo for 16 years and ninja didn't die of hunger. So if it's going to take him extra 3 years to get something tangible to send, then so be it.
Nor be by force to 'show levels', considering the fact that no one begged you for money in the first instance.

Family › Re: After 18 Years In America, A Guy Gifted His Friend 12 Dollars And Hes Not Happy by Shikena(m): 4:07pm On Mar 07, 2024 |
This is another problem with our mindset. How did you arrive at the conclusion that this is about "bigman" levels? Could it just be a regular guy hearing all the noise online about hunger in Nigeria due to change of subsidy policies and deciding to contribute his own quota within his limit knowing that those who don't need it can always use it to help others? Are you sure his 20k was not spread out among several people on his small personal network? Is there a rule that giving has to be triggered by begging? richie240: You're not getting d point. This ninja over here didn't ask him for money. Na that wan over there wan show 'bigman levels'
If he had begged him for money then we can call him an ingrate, but he didn't.
I was just thinking about this same kind of insult my sister in america use to give me. Her own nor dey pass 10k. She sent 20k I think about one or twice, but na 10k be her own default money.
Just last week I was just thinking of the kind of message I'll send her without appearing to be an 'ingrate' when next she send me such insult. Again, just like the guy in this story, I didn't ask her for shi-shi.

... and this comment got 17 LIKES. Nigerians!!! He gave the guy 20k Nigerian money, is the guy living in America? Is N20k intangible in Nigeria, and even if so, why not dash it to a struggling neighbor or student nearby? Afterall, it's just a gift! Otherwise, why not just return the money and move on. Ironically, if you dash people even $1 in America they still say thank you even if they don't need the money. They just dash it out to someone too. Timoleon: Him no need give am anything. After all, for 16 years, e no give, nobody die. If he felt it was time to do something, he shoulda have done something tangible, if he wasn't in a comfortable space to do something tangible he should have simply maintained status quo. |

That's why many have found joy in anonymous charity in Nigeria.
Davido recently published a list of orphanages in Nigeria that are beneficiaries of his foundation. Many people abroad individually & in groups are picking one or two for monthly donations.
Even just N10k they send you appreciations and keep praying for you. The thought of remembering them alone makes makes them happy. |

What is making you uncomfortable about going back to your state that is several states away from Lagos and not remotely close to Yorubaland?
