chagga:True! |
chylind5:Wow, strong word!! Disappointing! Anyways, great talk by Chimamanda. Watched this a couple of years ago and was blown away! |
Congrats to him! |
If you can "forgive and forget", then do so and move on but if talking to her about it will bring you peace, then do so! Sorry you had to go through this! |
Absolutely agree with ifyalways. |
I wonder why people care about something as trivial as invites? Seriously gurl, u getting married, who cares about the arrangement of names on the invites when you have the rest of your lives to live together as a couple. Like chaircover said, keep an eye on that stubborn streak - not a good sign. |
Congrats to her!! I know a couple of kids, my sister included (all Nigerians too) who started college at 15. She probably would be 16 when she starts college in the Fall which isn't rare being Nigerian. That being said, she's really smart to get an almost perfect score in the SAT's. Best wishes to her! |
amblors:Agree with most of that! Lauren is strong, was really good this week! Haley was too, but I don't she'll make it to the top3, you never know. |
Loved Paul, Stefano & Casey - all gone! No favorites at the moment, but I think Scotty is really amazing and has what it takes to go mainstream atm. On the other hand, I can't stand Jacob. Amazing singer, but something about him ![]() |

My favorite picture!

Topic made me laugh! |
ThiefOfHearts:lmao!!
I wonder what it is with people about Kate's wedding dress. She is royalty and her dress was that way. Kate dresses that way cos that is how she wants to dress. Nobody should try to badmouth nigerian ladies. A wedding day is very special to every bride. And if the supposed husband doesnt oppose his bride wearing a dress that reveals her cleavage then its nobody's business. On the other hand Chelsea, Prince Harry's girlfriend is the direct opposite to Kate. She wears mini skirts infact anything she wants and she doesnt give a hoot. Yet she hooked a prince. So what are we saying. Prince William likes the way Kate dresses and he fell in love with her while Prince Harry loves the way Chelsea is and he loves her and cant do without her. Now lets wait and see if Prince Harry finally proposes to Chelsea and see the type of wedding dress she would be seen wearing. Everybody cant be like Kate. Anybody can dress the way they want and its nobody's business. Even the poster sef we know whether na indecent dress him wife wear on her wedding day?
I agree with most of this. Different strokes for different folks. What one man considers indecent, another man doesn't. |
I have the "once a cheater always a cheater" mentality so I wouldn't trust a dude who cheated on me. What's a relationship without trust? That's not to say that you should end things with the dude. Some women have learnt to trust such men again and have moved on from the hurt and have had successful relationships. Like a previous poster said, do whatever gives you peace! Pray about it. |
Not changing my name either, the best I'll do is hyphenate! |
I understand what the poster means! Many brides go for tube tops, and it's not just in Nigeria!! Kate was simple, decent by every standard and elegant! |
God bless him and his family! |
I was born in Bauchi. . . this is sooooo sad for many different reasons. RIP!! |
As an economist, this is a wonderful idea . . . in the long run people will thank him! The average man on the street is just to impatient! |
Delta007:I was just gonna say that lmao!! @subzero: Please post this on the Canada Travel Inquires board, you'll get more "expert" replies there. |
Congrats to him, very well deserved!! What a coincidence, we had a discussion about him in my Economics class today!! |
Hey people, I'm thinking of Studying Abroad for a semester or so, preferably in a French speaking country. At the moment, I'm considering Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, or Monaco. I live in the US, and thus far, I haven't experienced racism and as such I don't want to go to a country where people would look at me funny just cos of the color of my skin, etc. Anyone living/has visited any of these countries? Comments welcome. Thanks. |
Wow, she's nuts!! |
Lenny9000:My thoughts exactly!!! I didn't even know Wyclef did a collabo with SS a while back. Checked it out on Youtube, not feeling the song. I really love both of them though . . . |
Look at people crucifying Gbagbo as if Ouattara is much better. Did he really win the elections? He is slaughtering his people, I guess he should also be tried for war crimes. Between the devil and the deep blue sea. . . God help Ivory Coast!! |
The original picture is certainly not Lagbaja. The guy in blue certainly could be Lagbaja. |
