Tney both suck but I go with MMA. |
Story that is almost 6 years old and yahoo is just making it looks like its just this week. Media and lies fooling people. That's what they are good at
Echoed my thoughts. |
Funny question. Answer: YES!! |
I think member's location should be shown on the forum. I miss seeing that . . . I haven't looked at it on my phone, but on my browser - it looks like a mobile site for some weird reason. |
bunmioguns: dis one sef na comment?lmao! D'Banj is just rude and ungrateful. |
Don't love it or hate it. NL needed a change anyways, so this is welcome. It's also faster, and my browser (Chrome) doesn't seem to be having any problems with it unlike the previous version. I just wish there was a way to view user locations on the thread. . . |
Lots of great feedback, which I'm sure the OP will take into consideration. My 2 cents: Don't do it! |
A pot belly screams unhealthy!! Why would I want an unhealthy dude? |
I've been a fan of LIB for over 5 years lol. I don't think Linda has a +ve or -ve influence, she seems very honest and down-to-earth. However, I think sometimes she has an inflated opinion of herself. |
merengue:True words. |
lmao! You fell for this too? smh. |
Don't do it! Think of Arnold Schwarzenegger. |
I def think Asa could win one. Or Nneka. |
snthesis:Some people are more cavity prone than others #enoughsaid |
If that aint BS, someone tell me what is cos I'd really love to know. Look at some people (name withheld lol, but you know yourselves), after all the noise they made, couldn't prove a thing and have resorted to saying it's a conspiracy #FAIL Empty vessels do make the loudest noise. I have read every single post, however the conversations here are between certain people, i.e. dhtm, doncigalo, ogzille, etc so I have no business replying what doesn't concern me. Instead of dismissing my post as hate for Nigeria as some of y'all have done, some people here have educated me and also educated themselves by knowing they aint all that after seeing web designers who are miles ahead. |
Na nonesense de make sense for naija, the more the nonesense the more the selling. MI and the girl nailed it, just a bit of tuning her accent, but she out to be the best female rapper in naija.
I agree. |
All those saying tell he you love her, blah blah, I don't know anything about the OP's wife (except that she is a lucky woman lol), but he can do that every other day of the year. On her bday, she probably wants to be mind blown, given her husband's track record. @OP: Let us know what you decide. |
Serves SA right. |
Something fishy going on. |
Not MI's best work, but I like it. The Pryse girl is good but needs to work on her delivery. The video was a waste of time though. |
Don't know why I can't modify my post. Anyways, I wanted to add that Titi studied at Uni of Ibadan, with another student I believe. |
Remember Titilayo, the white girl who speaks yoruba fluently? Well, she studied abroad in Nigeria and loved her experience there. http://northoflagos./ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hTZ_mS7TsI |
Deep Sight:Nope. You do not pay a dime to go to Lakewood. He charges people during his speaking arrangements, because it costs him an average of $250,000 to put up an event, and after charging people an average of $10-$15, he just about breaks even. You may ask, well other ministers such as Benny Hinn, Billy Graham, etc never charged people, well thing is Joel Osteen does not take a salary from the church. His income comes from his book sales. When talking about ministers that are business men, I don't think Osteen should be one of them. |
Thanks for the awesome feedback and nice work @ the designers of dwitch, jobberman, omavo, sabidgroup, inspiredautos. WOT rates omavo as unsafe though (http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/omavo.com) which I thought was interesting. @*dhtml: Kudos on the portfolio. Great work! nylawal:Was also wondering. |
^^ Lmao DaraAlina:True!! Did you call/email? Calling will obviously be more effective. |
deco2come:Thanks for the feedback and clarification. I totally understand your point, but to clarify what I'm getting is Web designers in Nigeria make do with what they have which isn't a lot and as such shouldn't be compared to their Western counterparts. Makes sense to me and never though about it like that. |
@yawa-ti-de
Oh, it is that serious. You don't know who could be reading this thread, perhaps seeking to employ a Nigerian web developer. You don't know which business person may be thinking of opening up an outsourcing center in Nigeria who might be reading this thread. You don't know which patriotic Nigerian abroad might be reconsidering their desire after reading your initial post. So yes, "sista", it is that serious. I will agree with you on one thing though, proving you wrong such that you never show face on here again (at least under the OP username) wouldn't gain us a thing. 1) Hopefully, the few who have posted so far have proved you wrong 2) As I mentioned in my first response, thanks for acknowledging that you may be ignorant. . .which isn't exactly a bad thing. Ignorance, IMHO, is better than stupidity - with the latter, the person doesn't know and isn't willing to know 3) Just as you can whip up bad sites in Nigeria, I could do same for sites in the US/BC (and I am sure you could too). Again, I don't gain a thing by so doing. If you insist though, I shall surely unleash. After all, I did same to that guy from SA and we haven't heard from him since ![]() In conclusion, your post comes off as one of those "bash Africa" posts - never finding anything good about Africa, based on brain-washing, and nothing wrong with their own backyard. You say you are a "sista". Post like one
Already bored. Let's see what you've got.Of course there are many US/Canadian sites that look like they were made in 1999, didn't say there weren't. I don't really care how my post comes off to you, that's not the kind of person I am. Being a patriot doesn't mean being delusional. I love Nigeria, however I can still call a spade a spade and can also do the same with the US/Canada and other countries I've lived in remoranger:Doesn't load.
Even those that do it for fun should follow standards na? At least i believe so.
True. |
armyofone:Was thinking the same thing lol |
Oh please, some of you need to get off your high horses. My question wasn't meant to be judgmental. Like I said, I go to many Nigerian websites, corporate and otherwise and hadn't seen anything impressive. I didn't say no Nigerian website is impressive, I just said I hadn't seen one. I wasn't about to go searching for every Nigerian website on the web, is that possible + do I have the time?? That's why I posted on this section, because I know there are web designers here, and y'all don't fall under the "2005 web design layout". It's not about showing off, it's about educating a sista!
A post similar to this was posted here by some guy in SA about 5 or so years ago. I urged ppl to that post then and I am urging you all to ignore this post now. It is not based on facts but emotions. I personally could use proof by contradiction to prove OP wrong and tarnish his credibility forever but I won't. I wouldn't gain anything for doing that. No offense OP but, this isn't an issue of "may be" but an issue of "am". . .and ignorant isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least, it is better than being silly. Difference? Ignorance means you just don't know but are willing to learn. silly means one is incapable of learning.
LOL girl, it aint that serious. It's a simple question, who says you have to gain anything? digidragonfly:Nice work! doncigalo:Now that's what I'm talking about. No flashing words, and shiny things moving across the screen lol |
I don't live in Nigeria so I'm not too knowledgeable. However, my family has driven from Bauchi to Port Harcourt, and from Port Harcourt to Lagos. We've taken so many bus lines or whatever they're called, and it was awful. We're a family of 6 so we usually rent out a mini-bus and an experienced driver, which makes things go comfy. This was all around 6-10+ years ago, so I don't know how things have changed. Every other time we've travelled by air which is nothing fancy, just about convenience. Besides, Nigerian flight attendants are so unprofessional lol. I know the roads are not good, pot holes, etc., so beware and like others have said night trips are not advisable. I would advise hiring a driver and you both can split the driving so you have a bit of the action lol. Taking all this into account, I think this is a risk worth taking. Road trip are the best, and Nigeria is not an exception. I say go for it, and have fun! Hope your gf thinks like you, if not she'll be pissed. |
