What if you saw it last year, has anything changed since then? The point here is not when it happened but how can it happened. Where is forgiveness? The child could be hungry to do that.why are we always leaving substance to chase shadows? Hsssssss

Did IBB really acheived all those as listed or they are just mere propaganda?Am not. Routing for IBB but which of our Past leaders are not as corrupt, evil and wicked as IBB? The irony of the matter is are they no other political party in this country that can rally round and present a credible candidate for us to vote to avoid this PDP mayhem. IMHO if IBB eventually became PDP candidate and he won the election on a very fair turf then kapish he is the candidates that Nigerians want. For arguments sake let someone outline the acheivements of other contenders also in this race for us to compare and contrast. IBB as a military man and as a poilitician should not be the thing o. Am not supporting IBB yet o,but just saying.
Politics / Re: Ait On Babangida by shinaidowu: 1:13pm On Aug 25, 2010
The problem with us Nigerians is too many talk and little action. No matter how hard we try to discredit IBB if we don't do the right tin by goin out enmasse to register and cast our vote then we shud not complain about who is ruling us.Like someone said rightly here, instead of goin out to rgister a lot of us are on facebook and nairaland yarning dust.

Let's for a second igno
re the uncivilised messenger and focus on the message.IMHO like
She
said its not right for Amechi to go about saying he MUST demolish personal properties
whether for develpmental purpose or not. What happened to dialogue? Tomorrow if there is a crisis everybody would start callin for his head why he didn't dialogue in the first instance.Demolishin houses in Lagos is quite different from that of Rivers, becos that of rivers has a perceived ethnic
undertone and this is a sure recipe for crisis and disaster.in some areas in Nigeria especially land issues are a very emotional one and you get killed over a small plot of land that wud not cost more than 50k. So Amechi should explore all areas of dialogue, is this not the reason he was elected in the first instance? I believe there must be other areas in rivers state he can site those schools if the resistance from the people is that much. There must be some hidden issues behind their resistance, in as far as they know its schools that would be built so let's not be quick to pass judgement till we have all facts at our disposal.

Nigerian President Signs Country`s New Electoral Bill Into Law -Report

First Published Friday, 20 August 2010 06:55 pm - © 2010 Dow Jones

IBADAN, Nigeria -(Dow Jones)- Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan signed the country`s amended Electoral Bill into law Friday, the News Agency of Nigeria said in a report.

The amendments to the 2006 Electoral Act were passed by the National Assembly at the beginning of the month, and are aimed at improving the conduct of elections in the country.

Jonathan said at the signing ceremony at State House, Abuja, the Nigerian capital, that the new electoral law was a "fulfilment of his administration`s commitment to electoral reforms and credible elections."

Jonathan said the amended sections of the Act would broaden and advance the nation's march to democratic freedom, adding that some of the sections in the new Act "improved on the mode and manners of conducting party primaries as well as party autonomy."

"Since coming into office, I have emphasised that this administration will do all that is needed to guarantee free, fair and credible elections in 2011 and beyond," Jonathan said.

He thanked the National Assembly and other stakeholders for "their initiatives and commitment to improving the electoral system."

Elections in Nigeria have been mired in controversy in the past several years. The 2007 election, which brought to power the late President Umaru Yar`Adua, was criticized as "flawed" by local and international observers. Jonathan was Yar'Adua's vice president.

Jonathan has not indicated whether he will run in the 2011 presidential elections, but former Nigerian military ruler Ibrahim Babangida and former vice president Abubakar Atiku have declared their candidacy for the election.

Crime / Re: Irate Students Humiliate Randy Lecturer by shinaidowu: 10:32am On Jul 27, 2010
Looking at the video my only response is that i pray the lecturer is not innocent, cos a life has definitely just being ruined and i sincerely felt pity for his family. Like ogbonti said the lecturer definitely have a case in a court of competent jurisdiction to swing this issue to his advantage but the truth still need to be told some of these Lecturers deserve what happened to this one here.I mean is it by force, not like this girl in question is even pretty cos in my own summation she is an apology for a mechanical engineer. How did she even get to 400 level but anyway let me not be too quick to pass judgement.

For your information am not a member of CEC and am not holding brief for Pastor Chris, but it is very very unacceptable when people like you who have done absolutely nutin to help anybody in this life would come in the guise of facelessness to throw tantrums at great men and women who are giving hope to millions of people in this generation of ours. Guys like you are so many in this forum that i cant help not reacting to your foolish comments. As for the issue about having an affair i mentioned the constitution because God and my wife has already forgiven me. So if its a crime punishable by the constitution tell me so that i can face the penalty. So that maybe tomorrow when you start hearing of Shinaidowu being the president of Nigeria you wont bring up the issue of my having an affair.
Guys like you would always be at the bottom critising guys like us at thhe top.

Mean while as regarding the slap, i want to change it to a kick on your throat, those kind of kick you see on chinese film, haaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Since when is it a crime punishable by our constitution if one is having an affair. Since you are so holy thats why you are like a deranged man running rampage all over this forun casting aspersion on people's personality, people who are so busy affecting the lifes of millions of people. Continue and see what comes out of your campaign of PHD.

@ poster
Are you sure you went to a CEC cos here in Nigeria, even cell leaders are laying hands and healing talkless of Pastors of the church. Healing in CEC and the body of Christ is not limited to the pastors only but any and everybody that believes.

Somebody asked a dumb question if Pastor Chris is greater than Jesus Christ, Pastor Chris is not greater than Jesus but he has the ability to do greater works than Jesus (even you too), WHY?. JESUS himself said so. Thats the very reason Jesus gave us the holy ghost, or do you think the holy ghost does not have where to stay in heaven thats why he came to the earth to live inside of us?

honeric01:

kAITA, you owe no one an apology, it's your job you did, 90% of people on this thread would have done the same, they are all here condemning another person.

Who even gave you all the right to decide who to be forgiven and who not to?

Kaita, what you did wasn't the first and won't be the last, people before you did worse and their team still went ahead and won, they are all looking for excuse to blame someone, they want a scapegoat lol,

Nigeria was already out even before the tournament started. From the bad Plane, to bad hotel, to bad weather, to bad coach to bad selection. Silly plonkers.

Germany is playing Serbia with one man down, yet they are terrorizing the Serbian post, you'd think it's the Serbians that are 1 man down.

The pressure has paid off, now Serbia has given a penalty to Germany but they finally lost it.

You are very modest by saying 90%, from the responses of nairalanders its so so certain that we all have that Kaitalian streak in us.Here in this forunm you cant even hold a very simple discussion without some insulting you or abusing. This is a scenario where there is nothing to gain or lose, how much more a situation where there is sometin at stake. Na naked dem go naked fight if them be kaita. grin

londoner:

To be fair, the use of the word "ban" is that of the OP and others who have written articles about it. The gov have used the word ultimatum, which is what it is.

I am all for it.

Is there any difference giving someone an ultimatum to move from somewhere and banning the person from that place. Abuja gives ultimatum for all street beggers to vacuate the street and abuja goverment banning street begging, is it not the same thing?
Politics / Prostitution Banned In Abuja by shinaidowu: 9:25am On Jun 15, 2010
The New FCT Minister (dont give a damn whats his name is) has given a 24hours ultimatum for all love-peddlers to evacuate Abuja. These Nigerian politicians never cease to amaze me. I was just wondering when i heard the news and the following questions came to my mind,
1. Are love-peddlers the problem of Nigeria today?
2.How do differentiate who is a love-peddler and who is not (not talking about those residing permanently in brothels) that is with the outrageuos dress sense of ladies these days?
3.Are the politicians not the highest patronisers of love-peddlers?
4.What about the corporate love-peddlers?
5.With the number of night clubs, so how do differentiate between genuine fun seeking ladies and also love-peddlers?
6.What about the men that patronise them?
7.Why do our goverments keep chasing shadows, even those have very well paid jobs still do all sought how much more those who are broke and being forced into it due to circumstance.
I could go on and on, but my take is that maybe the new FCT minister was recently jilted by a love-peddlers hence this payback.lol

But on a serious note what do you guys think about this pronouncements?

Religion / Re: Does Anybody Get Hurt When Pastor Chris Says: "take It"? by shinaidowu: 4:33pm On Feb 20, 2010
At times i wonder at the gullibility of some folks here, how is it possible for thousands of people to be told to fall down when pastor chris says take it. Some one was comparing wrestlers that are being paid for their acts to members of congregations. Are we saying that the congregations are being paid to fall too? Falling backward is a very impossible act especially when you dont know whats behind you, and during service this happens in thousands. That would have been a food for thought for intelligent folks. Those receiving are not receiving from Pastor Chris but from the holy ghost. As for Kunleoshob continue with your jealous ranting, you would wake up one bright morning and it would be too late for you to save your soul.
By the way wheres Sirjohn? grin grin

Thanks sista, but i feel this is the same thing as the 419 we are all shouting about. Obtaining money without any intention of delivering as agreed.
According to my friend, he has not said anytin tangible why he has not delivered the car and he has been avoiding his call. I really donot know how often he comes to Nigeria but i guess this is the first time both of them are doing business.
Like i told my friend i guess maybe he used the money to solve his own problems.

But the big question is how does get his money back. I need more respnses from gurus in here.
