Please if your mind cannot take it leave it. 2 Kings 7 (NIV)I am a Staff of CU and we the CU family believe this mandate. Vision 10: 2022, 1 of 10 in 10. Vision 10: 2022, A Prophetic Mandate. There are policies on ground towards Vision 10: 2022. |
Sincere 9gerian: I thought some propagandists said the cars were bought for N225 million each? What is in that report is N225 million for both. What then is the current market value of the vehicles? Atleast if that is known we'll be able to objectively tell whether the cost was inflated or not.^^^ Are you real? As much as i love to see GEJ in office till 2019 we should not be beclouded with sentiment. |
obitwo: I won't attribute this to GEJWhy don't Amosun go commission it? |
Prior 2011 general election about 40 people slump and died at Senator Olusola Saraki's house and on the same day about 80 people slump and died at Mandate Office (Governor Bukola Saraki's campaign office) they said it was suffocation. Suffoca-what? I pray Kwarans will wish up! |
toptop: Your defence lacks merit. You dont make comparison from disimilar positions. State and federal university lecturers have the same academic qualifications(not on the same level with polytechnic staff) and they belong to the same union. As a union, they determine what is ethical and binding on their members. It is not for you to hide behind your keyboard and decide. Are state governors complaining? They will not because, they know that they do not have the fund to lift the standard of education as expected. They will certainly be glad to see FG fund their schools as they fund federal schools. Afterall, we have Nigerians from diffrent states all in state universities.Read my post well again, my comparison is of Federal Polytechnics and State Polytechnics just as you have Federal Universities and State Universities. To use your logic, its FG responsibility to develop State varsities? Why did those State establish a university they can't run? Waiting for grandpa FG right? My State, Ekiti, use to have 3 State Universities before Governor Fayemi came on board and merge them all into one because of fund and their are some State that have 2 varsities while some don't even have one. So where is true federalism if FG maintain and pay earn allowances for lecturers in such State varsities who are not her employee. Do you say because Airtel and MTN are in the same line of service and the employees possess same qualifications Airtel should therefore pay her staff as MTN? If those lecturers in the various State varsities can't stand seeing their colleagues in FG schools earn more than they do, quit and join FG schools. FG should not carry State burden as FG burden carried by State are paid back (You will hear your governor saying FG is owning us this much on the FG roads we constructed and they later get paid) will the state government pay FG whatever sum she pays her employee in these Varsities? My argument is; if ASUU says because the lecturers in State and FG varsities possess the same certificate then they should earn same salary and allowances, have the same buildings and facilities the same principle should be applied to State and Federal Polytechnics, State and Federal College of Education. I think you remember ASUP was on strike for 4 months for similar reasons but they allow reason to prevail. The bottom line is, State Universities lecturers has no business in this ASUU strike, their action is Rub-my-back-I-rub-your-back, its against their job ethics. Let these State Varsities pull-out of the strike and see what becomes of ASUU terror. God save Nigeria! |
toptop: These so-called market women are localized rented jokers. All over the world, no government has succeded in pocketing Academics. These women just repeated GEJ answer during the presidential media chat about state universities joining strike. The question is; are all federal universities in Abuja? In almost every state in Nigeria, we have both federal and state owned institutions. These lecturers go to the same markets, hospitals, etc. So why should they be paid differently? They possess the same qualifications. Again, so we have a different job market for state university graduates? With time, state university lecturers will all seek to switch to federal universities. What a rented crowd strategy!!!Do the State University lecturers appointment letter carry Federal Government name? Do the State University lecturers collect their salaries and allowance from Federal Government? Is Mr. President the Visitor to these State Universities? How come State Varsity participate in this strike against the contract they signed with the respective State that employed them? If because they both buy from the same market and pay the same rent in their respective State then Federal Polytechnic and State Polytechnic lecturers should be paid the same salary. The State Government worker and the Local Government worker should earn same salary using your analogy. The State Universities lecturers have no business in this strike, its killing. Their game plan is rub my back i rub your back, which is against their ethic. |
So pathetic to see Nairalanders calling these women illiterate and pepper seller; you think all the ladies in our market are illiterate? There are some of you that your mother sells in the market and so many graduate turned butcher/pepper grinder, kerosine seller etc. due to lack of white collar job. Does doing a blue collar job make one an illiterate? God save this country! |
While the Bola Tinubus of this world focus only on the 2015 general elections, most patriotic ordinary Nigerians are more concerned with the emergence of a true united Nation, based on equity and justice to all its component parts, devoid of schisms and rancour which has made it impossible for us to benefit from the full potential of all the God-given resources of our great Nation.Tinubu suppose to know that we need this conference more than the politics of 2015 general election now, if not the injustice against Lagos having 20 LGA against Kano State 44 LGA will still continue and much more injustice against the entire South West. Asiwaju missed it this time. |
Good morning!

ajasa4link: nice write up Mr.tonye, but d issue with nysc u mentioned in ur initial post,I never heard of it before, maybe it's peculiar to ur school...In fact I know of a graduate of lasu who got admitted through direct entry and currently seeing out his service year in bauchi.. Back to ur story, something tells me u are a son of a pastor or someone who is deeply religious. u mean u didn't knack zika apako at all?...chai ! bros eh,not even any other togolese lady? The OP is dead right on the JAMB registration issue because my junior sister who got admission through direct entry had to pay #5,000 for JAMB registration number to be eligible to serve (NYSC), its a national issue not particular to his school. |

agabaI23: UNIBEN paid a year and half earned allowance. It is no secret. Some received over a million while some under. I was reliably informed that the least paid received 700k.I hope boys will not start kidnapping these lecturers? |
To all anti-GEJ fellows on this thread can you just say Fashola's good deeds glory should go to Tinubu since he laid the foundation of all Fashola is doing in Lagos? Some people can be demonically bitter! |
Yes. I ask God to give our leaders wisdom and understanding to lead us aright and God to clear everyone who vow to keep this great nation in chaos and crisis. |
take dat: He wrestled Tinubu and won, Good for him but his influence is limited to his State. For him to be a major influence in SW politics, he will have to plunder all the resources of his State to expand his frontier.Just like Tinubu did? Who told you it cannot be done elsewhere? If Tinubu expanded from Lagos to cover South-West any good politician of Iroko standing can do time and over again. |
Take note that Senator Rashidi Ladoja is a force to recon with in Oyo politics and he holds Accord Party firmly, many members of PDP led by Alao-Akala has team up with him to wrestle APC. Remember that ACN has to form alliance with Accord Party in Oyo before they could produce the Speaker House of Assembly while Accord Party member was pick as Deputy-Speaker, as this alliance has collapsed the Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker can easily be impeached since ACN/APC does not have the simple majority, the Accord Party member can form alliance with PDP House member to produce the Speaker base on their numerical strength; there we go ... This is the 2011 Nigerian Gubernatorial Election Official Results for Oyo State ACN ***** 420,167 PDP ***** 386,480 ACCORD *** 275,151 Total ***** 1,081,798 Source: Read more: http://www.theinfostrides.com/index.php?topic=14425.0#ixzz2g6mOBMgE You can see Ajumobi can't win 2015 as Oyo Chapter of the APC is presently constituted with internal wrangling from Senator Lanlehin and for CPC members. That's the more reason he sacked his cabinet last week, he's running a one-man show now. How do you see a governor who is presume to in-charge sacking his SSG, Commissioners, Advisers and Personal Assistant at a time, the man knows that if he should go for election now; he will fail. So he want to re-strategies but i don't see him winning. Tinubu and his train went to Ondo State last time to drum support for his boy but he was shown the back door. Gov. Olusegun Mimiko is a force in Ondo and South West politics now. He will surely garner substantial votes for GEJ in 2015, PDP South West will get him votes also and our brothers across the Niger living in Lagos State will vote overwhelmingly for GEJ. The equation is already adding up for GEJ in South-West. GEJ never betrayed Yorubas on the Speakership of House of Reps, Tinubu and his boys sold our collective gain on political altar, so GEJ have no offence against us. GEJ till 2019! |
payless: DOA! Dead On Arrival! No denying the fact that the hurried sack of the entire cabinet of Oyo state is more than meet the eye. Senator Ajimobi know that the threat of Senator Ladoja's Accord Party is not child play couple with the in-house fighting of Ajimobi and Senator Lanlehin. Ogun state APC chaos is in hibernation mode as Aremo Segun Osoba will not support Senator Amosun re-election, his structure has endorsed Mr. Fola Adeola and if Labour Party pick its candidate from Yewa land then Labour party will carry the day. Expect more intrigues between now and 2015. |
GEJ till 2019! |
September 27, 2013 •Mimiko, Ladoja, others lead battle By RAZAQ BAMIDELE. In preparation to have a smooth sail in the South-West for his presidential project, President Goodluck Jonathan, Daily Sun gathered authoritatively, has picked his foot soldiers with a view to capturing the zone in 2015 general election. Interestingly, Jonathan, in his approach to the project has confirmed the dictum that, in politics, there is neither a permanent friends or foe as he chose two political combatants from supposed opposition parties as arrowheads of the onslaught. Daily Sun can report authoritatively that Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko of Labour Party (LP), and former governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja of the Accord Party (AP), are the president’s new field commanders with the mandate to mobilize grassroots support for his 2015 presidential aspiration. A source close to the Presidency confided in Daily Sun that “already, Mimiko has commenced work in both Lagos and Ogun States,” saying “even, leaders and governorship candidates are being screened for the governorship elections in both states.” According to the reliable source, former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has been picked as LP leader to prosecute the project while the former governorship candidate in Lagos State on the platform of the Democratic Peoples Alliance (DPA), Mr. Jimi Agbaje is also said to be on the list of the LP for Lagos 2015. In the case of Oyo State, Ladoja is said to have come handy because of his political popularity and relevance in the state reputed to be the melting point of Yoruba politics. Recall that Mimiko and Ladoja had earlier planned a political Third Force in the South-Wes, with a view to putting their acts together to present a formidable third force in all the future electoral contests in the zone. Daily Sun had reported authoritatively that the Labour Party (LP) under the leadership of Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the Accord Party (AP), of the former Oyo State governor, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, were finalizing accord tagged: Alliance by Collaboration, to give the APC and PDP a run for their money in the South-West, starting from the coming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states next year. We also reported that chieftains of the parties had commenced closed door meetings in both Akure and Ibadan to fine tune the processes of the alliance with a view to storming the electoral arena with a bang. Daily Sun checks revealed that the president would not mind an arrangement whereby these two parties and others that may join the alliance to win their governorship contests in their various areas of strength but mobilize for him to win the presidential contest as it happened in 2011. In 2011, the South-West voted for the then Action Congress of Nigeria (AC N), during the governorship election and turned round to give their presidential mandate to Jonathan of the PDP. Right now, while Mimiko has consolidated his grip on Ondo State and Ladoja is also causing positive ripples in Oyo State, the two politicians have shifted their tentacles to Ogun State where Mimiko’s LP is already making waves with the former governor Gbenga Daniel believed to party’s leader. As the situation is in Ogun State now, the LP permutation in the state is to groom a candidate from the West Senatorial District, the zone that has not produced a governor since the creation of the state. Right now, two politicians, according to Daily Sun checks are already crossing their ‘t’s and dotting their ‘I’s in preparation to declare their governorship aspiration on the LP platform. The two politicians from the Yewa axis of the state are Isiaka Abiodun Akinlade, an APC House of Representatives member and Isiaka Gboyega, who was the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN), governorship candidate in the 2011 election. Former Governor Gbenga Daniel is the founder of the party-PPN. Right now, Ogun State APC, PDP and PPN House of Assembly members were reported to have decamped to the LP. Observers on their own (O.Y.O)! The man they call clueless has started setting the pace, one of the arsenals to win 2015 on my mind. |
on September 27, 2013 BY OKEY NDIRIBE ABUJA—AS the 2015 general elections draw nearer, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has advised intending observers of the poll to make their own security arrangements. This advice was given, yesterday, in Abuja by the Chairman of INEC Prof Attahiru Jega, in his remarks at a one- day workshop organised by the commission, entitled “Election Observation Outside Nigeria; Lessons Learnt.” Jega further stated that all over the world, apart from Venezuela, election observers were always responsible for their own security, adding that this would also apply to Nigeria since INEC would be saddled with the engagement of security agencies for the overall conduct of the polls. Said he: “What we do in Nigeria is to liaise with the security agencies to provide security for the overall conduct of the elections. Observers to provide own security “Observers can make their own security arrangements. We even have some countries like India that do not allow anybody to observe their elections. “However, we accept that the presence of foreign observers adds credibility to the outcome of the elections.” Commenting on other arrangements being put in place by INEC for the elections, Jega disclosed that both the management and staff of the commission had visited about 16 countries for peer review and discovered the importance of planning ahead, which he described as very tasking to most countries. ICT influence He further revealed that the application of Information and Communication Technology had helped in most countries, especially in the developed ones, adding that politicians in matured democracies nevr took elections as a do-or-die affair, unlike what was obtainable in many African countries. “Technology has helped to remove some logistics problems which INEC has learnt from, but I must add that the use of technology in Nigeria would be difficult in the collation of results so as to avoid what happened in Kenya where a lot of crisis ensued because of that situation. “In matured democracies, even where ordinary A4 paper is used as ballot paper nothing happens,” Jega said. Igbani speaks Earlier in his welcome address, INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Election Monitoring and Observation, Dr Ismail Igbani, said the biggest challenge facing the commission now was how to conduct a free, fair and credible election in 2015. He said it was very obvious that it would not be an easy exercise. He said: “All that is left is for all the operatives that will play one role or the other in the conduct of the elections to endeavour to be above board in the discharge of their responsibilities.” Igbani further pointed out that it was paramount that INEC continued to keep abreast of universally accepted good practices that are being introduced in many parts of the world, insisting that the commission could not afford to lag behind in keeping up with global trends. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/09/2015-inec-wont-provide-security-observers-says-jega/#sthash.TVkJiB9k.dpuf |

smartchoice: Fayemi exhibihited a totally unheard of level of thuggery that even Fayose a more courageous individual has never displayed...suffice to say insane! Weapons (guns, cutlasses and cudgels) were brandished openly by Mentillo and co a key thug on Fayemi's payroll, women were being harrassed openly by thugs for daring to walk on the streets! It was a SIEGE mounted on Ado by Fayemi himself...banks refused to open...civil servants stayed indoors...it was terrible...pictures and videos coming! So its this bad? Power really intoxicate. |
souljaboy: Residents of ado ekiti and its environs woke up early this morning to find all major roads leading to the state capital from other states barricaded by factions of the incubent governor kayode fayemi and the newly decamped senator MOB from iyini ekiti who has the intention of declaring his governorship ambition earlier slated for today. High presence of armed security personnels are everywhere and thugs gathered at various locations in the town....Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB) is not a senator but a House of Reps. member of ACN/APC so he did not decamp from anywhere. The situation in Ekiti State my homeland is due to the indifference between him and the governor over Bamidele's ambition in 2014. I see him eventually contesting on Labour Party's platform. Ekiti a'gbe a o! |
Upon hearing her name, the 21-year-old knelt down and prayed, then wept as she recited a Koranic verse.25 million Rupiah = $2,200 = N352,000 (Naira) How hard will a Nigerian in Indonesia work to equal his mate at home who is a millionaire? 1 Indonesia Rupiah = 0.014 Nigeria Naira. If this man can ask that kidnappers be given amnesty it clearly shows that he paid to get his freedom. Why is he dancing on the grave on those 4 gallant police officer? Nigeria is not worth dying for. |
I don't want to say Kwara State is jinx! Governor Fatah Ahmed take order from ex-Governor Bukola Saraki Rt. Hon Rasaq Atunwa (HOS Speaker) reject police protection in protest for Senator Bukola Saraki. Can someone wake Kwarans up? I think they have lived Sarakis life enough. |
kaze4blues: Go back to your village and preach this ur comment to ur clueless leaders.Olusegun Mimiko is a Christian. Senator Ibikunle Amosun is a Muslim with a Christian wife. Babatunde Raji Fashola; a Muslim with Christian wife. Senator Abiola Ajimobi; a Muslim with a Christian wife. John Fayemi and wife are Christians. Rauf Aregbesola and wife are Muslim. Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara) is a Muslim and wife Christian but to talk truth Christians are treated as second class citizens in their own State. I hope the authority will look into this matter. God bless Nigeria! Anyway GEJ till 2019. |
