Why not spend it in Nigeria if he truly belief in Nigeria. Those APC governors whose children school in such schools are perceived to be corrupt, now that Oga GMB does it, the music change. CHANGE indeed.

Politics / Who Pays Buhari's Daughter £30k Tuition Fee At University Of Surrey, UK by Shine1177: 10:48am On Jan 15, 2015
BUHARI’S FIFTH DAUGHTER ZAHRA is living and schooling in the University of Surrey, UK, where her tuition and expenses are up to £30,000 EACH YEAR (N8 million)! Yet, Buhari has BEEN CLAIMING to ‪Nigerians‬ that he is poor, with ONLY N1m left in his account and 150 cows on his farm!

Is the money for his children falling out of the sky?

Is he only PRETENDING to be penniless to STEAL THE VOTES of the average Nigerian?

WE ARE WAITING for Buhari to explain to the SHOE MAKERS, GATE MEN, CORP MEMBERS, and YOUTH that donated their last kobo to his campaign.

Proof that Buhari’s daughter is schooling in the UK: https://twitter.com/Zahra3_/status/550378542887096321

Politics / Presidency Probes Interim Govt Plot by Shine1177: 6:34pm On Jan 10, 2015
10.Jan.2015 Tayo Babarinde

•Jonathan, Buhari must ensure peace —US insists

The presidency has ordered a discreet investigation into a reported plot by some high-profile Nigerians to foist an interim government on Nigeria in the event of a deadlocked presidential election next month.

An informed government source confirmed that already, a preliminary report revealed the plot being real with a former president and an unnamed Western country identified as arrowheads of the plan.

The source disclosed that security forces were working on the hint that a possible think-tank existed in the country set up by those promoting the agenda which, it said, “is already fashioning out political strategies and designing a blueprint for the planned interim government.”

The plot, it was gathered, was predicated on fears “that there would be no legitimate government in the country after May 29, 2015.”

The security source said the secret plot is “enjoying the tacit support of a section of the international community, especially a super power with whom Nigeria currently has strained relations.”

The source disclosed that security agents “are aware that the think-tank had so far held two meetings – the inaugural meeting in Lagos and the second in another South West state capital, and it boasts of 12 members drawn from among die-hard loyalists of the former president, many of who are professionals with international connections.’’

An insider told Saturday Tribune that the plot was informed by a security report by some foreign interest groups that the 2015 general elections might be inconclusive, hence the need for an “Option B”.

The source claimed that with a possible Buhari inroad to parts of the South and a Jonathan strong showing in the North Central, a clear winner may not emerge at first ballot on February 14.

“The foreign country’s involvement in the plot is purely economic,” the source said.

The source noted that the foreign country “recruited the likes of the former president and others to work to an answer. A former Nigerian ambassador to that foreign country is said to be the pointsman.”

While decrying the plot, especially the role of the former president in it, the source stressed that “we shall see how far he, his team and the foreign collaborators can go.”

Uju Kenneth simeon • 7 hours ago

1) RCCG just made it clear that Prof Osinbajo is on his own. APC propaganda dragging in RCCG and the revered Pastor Enoch Adeboye have failed.

2) That reminds me, in 2011 another of Buhari's running mate Pastor Bakare also claimed he received the blessings of our revered Pastor Adeboye before accepting to run with Buhari. Where is he today?

3) The Awo's family are next to disown this prof publicly. From my observation, there seems to be no love lust between the sage family and the 'Tinubu cabal' that threw up this Prof

4) Most importantly, Prof Osinbajo ugently needs to clear the age scandal rocking him currently. When really was he born? Reports have it that he is 55yrs old, born in 1959, obtained LLB in 1978 (at just 19yrs?). LLB takes 5yrs to complete. Meaning he got admission into university at 14?

5) I remember then, a child's right hand will have to touch the left ear before they are admitted into primary school. Is Prof 55yrs old?

I can see Atiku actually winning the primaries. But he will lose the presidential election to GEJ. Buhari's only hope of winning the primaries to be held in Lagos is Tinubu.

But, Atiku can match Tinubu, Naira to Naira, Dollar to Dollar.

Politics / I May Pick Muslim Running Mate If... —buhari by Shine1177: 5:25am On Dec 08, 2014
08.Dec.2014

General Muhammadu Buhari has said it is possible he picks a Muslim running mate if his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) agrees.

Speaking on a Channels Television interview on Sunday night, Buhari, one of the strong contenders for the presidential ticket on the platform of APC, noted that the country had produced same religion leaders in the past.

Recalling that former head of state, General Yakubu Gowon and his service chiefs were Christians and the late MKO Abiola and Babagana Kingibe ticket in 1993 and even his team with Idiagbon, he said nobody complained.

“Gowon filled his government with Christians, Buhari/Idiagbon were Muslims, Nigerians voted Muslims with Abiola, maybe time has changed now,” he stressed.

On the forthcoming APC presidential primaries, Buhari said “if the processes are done freely and fairly, I will accept the result if I don’t win.”

Describing the Federal Government’s fight against terror as “unsatisfactory,” he added that the insecurity gripping the nation was intolerable.

•8,000 APC delegates arrive in Lagos for national convention

NO fewer than 8,000 delegates drawn from across the country will gather in Lagos, on Wednesday, to pick the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate for the 2015 election, with the delegates expected to arrive on Tuesday and commence immediate registration.

The exercise is billed for December 10 and 11, 2014 and will hold at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

The APC presidential aspirants are: former head of state, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso (Kano), Governor Rochas Owelle Okorocha and the publisher of Leadership newspapers, Mr Nda-Isa.

National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this in Lagos, on Sunday, while addressing newsmen.

He reiterated that the APC was poised to bring the desired change to Nigeria from the sorry state it was currently and to enable her to take her rightful position in the comity of nations.

He assured that the APC was committed to ensuring this change by presenting for election, credible and purpose-driven candidates that would drive the change at various levels of government.

Mohammed, who said that the party was going for "a convention and not coronation" to pick its presidential candidate from among the five that lined up for the race, enjoined Nigerians to join hands in realising the desired change. grin

This is just as he said the party's national convention was brought to Lagos after careful and thorough consideration by the convention committee headed by former Governor Kayode Fayemi.

According to him, Lagos was finally picked from among others, including Kano, Benin, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Jos, because it was favoured in terms of accessibility, accommodation for no fewer than 8,000 delegates and finally, security.

Text of the statement reads: "As you are all aware, our dear country is in a dire need of change. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is determined to bring that change. The process of effecting that change has commenced with the effective mobilisation of Nigerians to demand the change in the 2015 general election.

"The APC as a party that is committed to seeing Nigeria leave its present sorry state and take its rightful position in the comity of nations, is set to ensure this change by presenting for election, credible and purpose-driven candidates that would drive the change at various levels of government.

"The party’s congresses and election of candidates for the various positions that commenced earlier in the month will climax in the election of the APC presidential standard- bearer in the February 2015 presidential election.

"The national convention of the party is scheduled to hold at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere , Lagos between December 10 and 11, 2014.

"No fewer than 8,000 delegates drawn from the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are expected to participate in the convention and the presidential primaries that would elect the party’s standard-bearer out of the five presidential aspirants of the party.

"The five aspirants of the party are eminent citizens with proven credentials. It is our belief that, at the exercise, one of them would emerge the presidential standard-bearer of our dear party in the coming election.

"The aspirants include: a former head of state, General Mohammadu Buhari; a former Vice President of the country, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Governor of Kano State; Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Publisher of Leadership Newspaper Group, Sam Nda-Isaiah.The five aspirants would address the delegates, stressing their programmes before the commencement of voting, which will be by secret ballot.

"Adequate arrangements have been made by the National Convention Committee (NCC), headed by former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi for a hitch-free convention. The various sub-committees are working round the clock to ensure that the convention succeeds and become a reference point in the political history of the country.

"We are also collaborating with relevant agencies to ensure effective security, crowd control, traffic management, medical attention among others.

"And for the millions of Nigerians who may not be opportune to be at the venue of the convention, arrangements have been made for effective live coverage of the entire process by some radio and TV stations."

Travel / Bribe Airport Officials, Risk Five-year Jail Term -ICPC by Shine1177: 5:49pm On Dec 07, 2014
December 7, 2014 by Toluwani Eniola

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission on Sunday warned airport staff and travellers to desist from illicit transactions, saying the commission had begun a secret surveillance at the nation’s airports to check corrupt practices.

The ICPC, in a statement signed by its media consultant, Folu Olamiti, said any person giving or receiving bribes or soliciting same at the airports would be arrested and prosecuted and could face a five-year jail term.

According to the statement, the ICPC Chairman, Mr. Nta Ekpo, disclosed the new measure during ‘Focus,’ an African Independent Television programme in Abuja.

Ekpo urged Nigerians to report any airport staff who demand bribe by calling the ICPC toll free lines: 08031230280, 08031230281, 08031230282, 07056990190 and 07056990191.

The ICPC boss said the era of impunity and other illegal practices at the nation’s international airports was over.

According to Ekpo, notices would be prominently displayed at strategic locations within the airports to educate all travellers entering or leaving Nigeria on the zero tolerance for corrupt practices like offering bribes, whether solicited or unsolicited.

“Ethics and Integrity training would be arranged for all airport staff by the ICPC in addition to subscription to an airport code of professional conduct. Giving airport staff tips, other than for payment for receipted services, would be treated as solicitation and attract sanctions,” Ekpo said.

Ekpo said the commission had undertaken a similar Corruption Risk Assessment exercise at selected sea ports a few months ago, adding that some ICPC operatives were undergoing training with the Nigerian Customs Service to better understand the processes at the sea ports in order to effectively check abuses.

Ekpo, who drew instances from neighboring country Ghana, said travellers were not harassed by airport officials.

He said, “The ICPC has been able to do a lot of clean up of fake or fraudulent intent to collect visas from the High Commission of India and the embassies of Spain, Brazil and the United States. I can tell you that the embassies are more relaxed now. If you have a genuine reason to travel, they will give you a visa.”

‎”Whenever you are travelling abroad, correctly declare whatever that you are carrying in order to avoid any embarrassment from airport officials. Even the way you will be treated abroad will be different if you go by the rules.”

OBJ is not the only elder stateman in the country, we have Gen. Gowon, Ex-President Shagari, General Babangida, General Abdulsalami, Chief Shonekan and a host of others, they all have access to the President to advise him. Baba OBJ has not being respecting himself by talking to the media about GEJ. Some of us know how OBJ persistently criticized the government of General Buhari, (1983) Gen. IBB (1987) and Gen. Abacha (1995), it was only Abacha that dealt with him. Obasanjo himself cannot take what he is trying with GEJ. Remember he also accused Yar'Adua government of incompetence before the man died. How better was his tenure of eight years when he was killing every popular opposition to his evil agenda? We thank God for Atiku and others who stopped him in his course and that is the reason he will never want even Atiku in power it's not because of corruption as he has told the world as all of them are corrupt.

I belief with our prayers and cooperation GEJ will do it because he can do it.
