This is Nigeria. It is an exception to the rule. What works in other places never works here. People with vested interest will always frustrate it. You expect people who got wealthy through unexplainable means to sign the law for you. How many wealthy Nigerians cleanly got their wealth? Maybe just about one percent. Others came through looting, political patronage and outright criminality. In Nigeria we celebrate wealth without source that is why criminality abounds everywhere and people now resort to killing their fellow men for rituals.

So should things be allowed to continue like that?
In the Developed countries, you must be able to explain the Source of every kobo you call your own and be prepared to pay taxes on it.
Even your inheritors would still have to pay as much as 40% Tax as Inheritance Tax on whatever is left after you die.

Yes. IREV is not even mentioned anywhere in the electoral act. IREV is just a result viewing portal and not a collation system. Even copies of form EC8A given to police officers on duty and party agents can be used to collate result and declare a winner.

Peter Obi's agents were given the results of all the polling units in the country. All he had to do was collate his own result based on the copies given to his agents and take it to court as evidence instead of looking for IREV result.
