RomanceRe: Why Do Females First Pretend Not To Be Interested In A Relationship? by shockreaction(m): 11:51am On Feb 23, 2006
I've come up with a new hypothesis for this. "These females are just, simply put, stupid."
Pretense is definitely not the way forward. Never has been. Never will be.

Are you "just friends" with your female friend, or "more than friends", because, I don't know, man. It seems like you're being led on. Eight years is a long time. There's this thing called "moving on", you know,

The only piece of advice I have to offer to you, keele, is this: Good luck, man. You'll be needing lots of it.

he is a christian
Am I the only one who finds this very ironic? grin

Anyway, 7 months? Come on, give me a break. That's bullshit. I mean, how can she have stayed in the relationship with her 'boyfriend'? That's very, unfair. I personally think it's better she tells her current boyfriend what's been going on, and if he refuses to accept her, she should then go on to find someone else.

Definitely not.
RomanceRe: Most Girls Now Want To Settle With A Ready-Made Man by shockreaction(m): 12:18pm On Feb 09, 2006
"Most Girls Now Want To Settle With A Ready-Made Man"

That's almost like saying...

"Most Girls Now Want To Live Comfortably Till They Die, Without Having To Do Any Work"
ProgrammingRe: Can BASIC Be Introduced To This Forum? by shockreaction(m): 11:42am On Feb 09, 2006
That used to be true, but now, learning BASIC is like a waste of time. It's semantics and syntax are very very different from the languages being used currently.

TravelRe: Nigerians Abroad Must Return Home by shockreaction(m): 11:07am On Feb 09, 2006
Heh, well said.

Speaking of the problem in Nigeria, a riot (yes, smashing windscreens, etc) started about a few metres in front of me (about 15-20 footsteps; I was on a bike anyway), yesterday, in Festac (2nd gate/Agboju market area), over the death of a student or something. Don't know if that has made it to the news yet...

You've got to love watching people run from danger tongue

Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Eligible Nigerian Bachelors In Rhode Island: Identify Yourselves! by shockreaction(m): 12:10pm On Feb 08, 2006
Why must you marry a nigerian guy?
LOL... pressure from her mom

@disney: I think you just need to sit down, relax, and think, before posting. Just my opinion. Not getting involved with anything here.

@monie: Yeah, uh... the topic of your first post is kinda misleading, don't you think? tongue
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Eligible Nigerian Bachelors In Rhode Island: Identify Yourselves! by shockreaction(m): 11:50am On Feb 08, 2006
pixiraver: I believe it is better u get married to a Nigerian where your roots can be preserved not marrying a white knowing that your leg wont step into Nigeria as u want.
Uh.. of what benefit is this "preservation of roots" you speak of? I fail to get this concept. Everyone is a human being. And of course, if you believe in the Bible, everyone is a flippin' descendant of Adam and Eve! So yeah, your point is?
FamilyRe: Would You Prefer To Know The Gender Of Your Baby Before Giving Birth? by shockreaction(m): 1:42pm On Feb 07, 2006
All of you (who aren't in Nigeria) complaining about the frustration of having to go out shopping, there's this thing called online shopping you know... grin

I really can't be bothered about the sex of my baby if/when my wife (if I get married), is about to have one...
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Eligible Nigerian Bachelors In Rhode Island: Identify Yourselves! by shockreaction(m): 9:48am On Feb 07, 2006
Now why is it so hard to meet a freaking Nigerian man up here? One that has a sense of humor, speaks good English, and is not looking to get a 'green-card'?
Because you're in the wrong country? Geez, this should've been very easy to figure out...

Everytime I call my mom, I have to hear about some other friend of mine who has just tied the knot. She's constantly getting on me because my boyfriend now is white. (Ok, that fact is NOT open for discussion).
Well, the fact that this fact is NOT open for discussion sucks! I would so love to elaborate on this...

Anyway, good luck with your search.

A guy cannot be friends with a girl that he wants to.. wait, never mind.

wtf? if i was lookin fo more than a friend it sho wouldnt be over a damn computer
Herein lies a problem. You do realise that you can actually meet nice "human beings" online, don't you? Well, maybe you don't, but, no, it's not a good idea to be this narrow-minded. In any case, to each his own.

ProgrammingRe: .NET Framework And IDE: Will Microsoft Open Source Them? by shockreaction(m): 11:36am On Feb 02, 2006
The .NET Framework is not open source. It is an open standard (detailed in ECWA) and based on that, different people can decide to implement it on any platform, if they so desire. So no, Mono is not in violation of any of Microsoft's copyright laws.

The IDE, however is not open source, and I doubt it will be anytime in the future. We can't be too sure though.
