Erk... where did my post go?! Anyway, just in case no one saw the part, "Latoya is very goodlooking", I'll state it again: Latoya is very goodlooking. End of Story. Move on now.
PhonesRe: MTN Nigeria GPRS [Includes Configuration Settings] by shockreaction(m): 8:22pm On Aug 18, 2005
I was getting GPRS service in Festac on my MTN line a while back, but now I don't get any. Bummer! Just when there's the chance to test it out! Anyways, I just guess I'll wait and see what happens...

UPDATE: Nope, doesn't work. I've got the GPRS icon on my phone now (MTN line) and it's not connecting. Been trying since 4am. It's 6:30am now.
RomanceRe: What Men Say But Really Mean by shockreaction(m): 4:14pm On Aug 18, 2005
I want food, yes, true.
I want sex, yes, true.
But I want love too. And I want to be happy with someone. And sometimes, I just want some pleasure...

But will you ladies actually consent if a guy comes outright and says he wants to have sex with you. The answer is a definite "no" in about 90% of the cases. And I won't just ask for that straight away. I need to get to know the person I'm dealing with better before we start taking things further.

And another thing is with most women, there's a lot of emotional attachment to sex. It's something taken very seriously, and thus, their so-called "shakara", and their hard-to-get ways...

Oh well.

RomanceRe: Why are girls so eager for money? by shockreaction(m): 2:49pm On Aug 17, 2005
My simple advice is this: If you do not have enough money to care for yourself, or rather, if you're not living a comfortable life and are unable to cope when a second party is involved, do not bother going after women.
RomanceRe: All the Good Girls Ending Up With the Wrong Brothers by shockreaction(m): 2:48pm On Aug 17, 2005
Yup, it sucks. But it's life.
RomanceRe: Good Girls Always Fall For 'Yeye' Boys? by shockreaction(m): 2:47pm On Aug 17, 2005
Hahaha... ha.. haha.. ha... ha! grin

You shouldn't really worry about this. It happens generally. It's just life, so to speak. Just be yourself, and eventually, somehow, with time and chance, you'll get someone, that's worth it.
RomanceRe: What Do Girls Want? by shockreaction(m): 2:45pm On Aug 17, 2005
I honestly have no idea what girls want. When they say something, they mean something else... It's confusing. They're just wonderful mysterious people and I end up liking them... Feh!
Nairaland GeneralRe: Wesleyan --- the girl next door. hehe. by shockreaction(m): 2:37pm On Aug 17, 2005
Wait... your picture?
Nairaland GeneralShockreaction's just this guy, you know... by shockreaction(op): 2:33pm On Aug 17, 2005
Nice, intelligent, somewhat funny, silly, bizarre sense of humour, geek...
Shy, sometimes gentle, sometimes not...
Patient, hardly gets angry...
Computers, programming, video games, movies, interesting novels (except romance)...
And I have a job.

Girls/Ladies/Women are splendid and amazing, but cunning and sometimes deceitful.

Wait, that's just an opinion. Ok. Done.

ComputersRe: What Made You Switch to Linux? by shockreaction(m): 6:03pm On Jul 30, 2005
Software piracy is a major issue in Nigeria. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can really do about it, as this is a developing country and the amount of money an average person earns is not enough to afford original software. Of course, there's also the Nigerian mentality that since it can be got for N200 (current price now, I guess), why should the individual pay over N20,000?

Anyway, I switched to Linux because I wanted to try something new and different. I had read about it in different articles before I actually got to try it out. I was really interested in using a UNIX-style system and such.

Now, I use Windows primarily for gaming and surfing the web. Linux for programming, other development purposes and multimedia smiley
RomanceRe: Can You Love 2 People At The Same Time? by shockreaction(m): 8:57am On Jul 28, 2005
The polygamous relationship has always existed... *cough*
RomanceRe: When is it OK to Cheat on your Partner? by shockreaction(m): 8:51am On Jul 28, 2005
It is not ok to cheat, no matter the circumstances. If you're not in love with the person anymore, or if you're no longer interested in the relationship, freaking end it!
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Introducing "E-Marriage" by shockreaction(m): 8:39am On Jul 28, 2005
@hot-angel: It's called the IP number - a unique number assigned to your computer when you connect to the Internet

@oleku: According to your definition of e-marriage, I personally think that's just utter stupidity. It just won't happen.
FamilyRe: Husband at Home While the Wife Works? by shockreaction(m): 6:41am On Jul 20, 2005
Nothing wrong with this, at all.
RomanceRe: She "Can't Continue With the Relationship" by shockreaction(m): 6:37am On Jul 20, 2005
@Danasco: Run fast, like the wind! When a girl requires too much time out when you've got little time to spare, and she starts complaining, don't hesitate to leave...

@Seun: Don't waste your time complaining smiley Women actually do like being played. Despite all the whining and crying they do, when they get played, it just makes them more attracted to the guy. It's not something they really have control over, it just happens smiley

PS: I'm not a player.
RomanceRe: What is Flirting? by shockreaction(m): 6:42pm On Jul 17, 2005
Erm... flirting is not "toiling" with someone's heart. Flirting is more like, playing with someone, and you don't necessarily have to be in a relationship with someone to flirt with that person. Of course, you can also flirt with your significant other.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Girls and Lies by shockreaction(m): 4:06pm On Jul 16, 2005
This topic is so controversial, I wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole.
ComputersRe: To Download and Open PDF Files by shockreaction(m): 3:58pm On Jul 16, 2005
There's nothing wrong with IE if you have your latest Windows Updates installed and you don't install from almost every dodgy web site that asks you to install a plugin smiley
PhonesRe: One Free MTN-to-MTN SMS Per Day by shockreaction(m): 7:47pm On Jul 14, 2005
I like MTN. Do you know why? Cos they're smart people who know how to take advantage of (read as "make maximum earnings out of"wink stupid people (*cough*we*cough*Nige*cough*rians*cough*). So, there.
RomanceRe: How Did You Meet Your Partner? by shockreaction(m): 7:45pm On Jul 14, 2005

Ok, ok, but seriously, I don't have a partner right now.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: In Search of a Decent Girl in Nigeria by shockreaction(m): 7:30pm On Jul 14, 2005
Yada yada yada, blah blah blah...
Sheesh!

Women are actually a waste of time, dude. When you are ready to settle down, find them.
On the other hand, the following factors are important for a woman to be attracted to you
- be moderately attractive, but that won't matter if
  - you've got a lot of money
  - you're in a position of power (political, organisational or otherwise)
- well, have lots of cash
- a car
- a job
- a place of your own
and some other things.

Women tell us they like sensitive guys who are funny, caring, and all that load of crap. Trust me, if you've got all the attributes you say they want, and you haven't got one of the attributes listed of above, you're doomed to be "just friends" with them.

In summary, if you choose to ignore all the above, women like a guy who's confident. And one who's capable of sweeping them off their feet too. If you can't do this, then just forget it.

But you can always take consolation in the fact that, for every guy, there's a girl and vice versa.
TV/MoviesRe: 'Sin City' Movie Review by shockreaction(m): 12:54pm On Jul 13, 2005
Evil movie? Lol. Seun, missing your good ol' kindergaten days? tongue

Sin City's very good. The noir effect makes it pretty cool and different, and it's one of the [rare] comic book adaptations that turned out to be a success.
RomanceRe: My Girlfriend Has been Unfaithful to Me by shockreaction(m): 12:27pm On Jul 13, 2005
Reliable source? Are there photos or a video recording? Uh... why don't you just meet her and ask her if she cheated on you as has been told by some other person. You're both mature individuals. If she denies it, you shouldn't have to be bothered as there is nothing to hold on to.
RomanceRe: Dating a White Lady (or Man) by shockreaction(m): 7:24pm On Jul 10, 2005
This is simply because, a white lady could kill you if you mistakenly mess up with her...
Eh? What stops black ladies from doing this too? I'm sorry, but this is a very stupid generalisation. Different people are capable of doing different things, regardless of race/skin colour.

Besides, black ladies set pass white ladies.
Er... eh? Well, I guess it's only a matter of preference and/or taste in this case.
