If I were you, official resumption date/when salary started would be the best option of the three dates.

2. IELTS: ECA is just completed and I am thinking of sitting for IELTS early June. This is when I will be free and will have money to travel, etc. I don't want to write it too early because I feel that IRCC will be busy with the backlog. I am also looking to start French classes which could take a year before I can sit for TEF. Do you think I should write the IELTS earlier than June?
Whether or not to write IELTS is always directly proportional to how well prepared one is. Since you're the one who can answer that question appropriately, then that's still your choice to make, to be frank. Sit for IELTS exams ONLY when you're feeling 100%plus confident. If not...

If one types that in a browser (or copy and paste sef), it takes you directly to the IRCC website on POF (meaning pls cross check this tweet against IRCC requirements). That page says. IF your spouse is coming with you, you can apply using money in their account, provided you prove you have access to it. This implies that IF your spouse is NOT coming with you i.e. unaccompanying, then you cannot.

Perhaps we are wrong in our interpretation though but that is what is written.

Also see responses from canadavisa. The 2 statements by legalfalcon appear to me to be inconsistent, but hey we are not VOs right, just trying the make the best of our situation and the information at hand.

We boarded and took off, some minutes after take off we were given a bassinet for our baby, which was helpful, she slept, all was good and we landed Addis Ababa. After a few hours we boarded and took off for Toronto. The flight was annoyingly long, 16hrs plus, I barely slept or watched a movie because of my baby. We arrived Toronto and officials asked those with connecting flights to disembark first, we proceeded to immigration, the lady was nice and fast and in less than 10mins we were done, she asked for our address for PR, we didn’t have one so she gave us a form to fill and that was it. I was still in disbelieve because I expected the process to be tedious and long. Our bags were not checked no questions asked, we got two WELCOME TO CANADA.
