See as MOD dey update shaperly because it's an Arsenal game.. If na Chelsea match or United losing now, una go wait make dem use 5 pages to beg una to update scores... ![]() Enemies plenty! |
hoover420:Quite hard to believe but I tell you it's the truth. My story was not just in my compound but in some selected others around us. None of us heard pim until they had left. |
SIRKAY98:Lol.. So you guys don't know some of them are so sophisticated that they go around with substances they blow inside the room & make people sleep the "sleep of death". May sound like a film trick but it's quite real. I and my neighbours were once victims. They raided everywhere, tore nets and no one knew until they were gone when one after the other people started noticing what had gone missing. |
Lol.. Until the thread is flooded with 8pages of pleas on its own to the OP to update the scores, he won't do it. I like the psychology behind this sha! ![]() |

I still do not know why people can't argue logically without allowing emotions/sentiments becloud our sense of judgement. Of course, the death of a minor is indeed tragic and no one prays for such to befall them. I'm not even close to being a fan of Kemi Olunloyo, but come to think of it, has any of those people calling for her head paused to ask how she got her facts which she boldly came out with knowing fully well the gravity of what she was about doing? I'm sure up to about 90% of us here fighting each other has never been in that Dowen College and as such, none of this estimated subset above is privy to what goes on in that school (where tuition is as high as 3million naira, where students give ATM cards to the person who is meant to be in charge of security to go withdraw big money for them and what not...) Anyone will agree most of these children are spoilt brats and we can't rule out the possibility of cultism there which Kemi Olunloyo brought up apparently to the discontent of a lot of people because we feel we should focus solely on the "bullying" storyline which no doubt is also a grave issue of concern in our secondary schools. Or maybe, people are thinking cultism is just too strong to be attached to secondary schools, which if so, we could and should safely adopt "gangsterism" instead. Personally, I have a cousin whose dad had to change his schools because of the gory tales (na tory for another day) in that previous school he was, somewhere in this Lagos which even has its tuition as just a little over 1m (far more affordable than Dowen). Another personal experience I would like to share is that I was also at my mechanic's workshop somewhere in Abesan Estate and the shop is situated directly opposite one of these exotic schools. I was shocked at the scenes that unfolded in my presence. You couldn't tell the "senior students" from their teachers (except of course from their looks and dressing) as they were all relating as though they were all mates. After playing basketball in a mixed manner on the court in front of their building, they then jammed, via a loudspeaker, to Tupac's Letter to my Unborn, Dear Mama, Hit'em up, and many more hardcore raps from the likes of DMX, Lil Wayne plus to the latest x-rated songs from our own Naija artistes. Fear catch me I swear!.. I remember a police patrol car passing by had to park in order for the cops inside to confirm if everything was alright before driving on. I couldn't but help but wonder if these guys (males and females) could put up such an open brazen display in an educational facility in broad daylight, what they would be capable of when no one is watching. If there's an allegation that those male teachers are dating and sleeping with those female students, I wouldn't blink twice before believing it with the level of covert "grooming" I witnessed that day. I later got to realise the school was not in session and that day was meant to be a "summer" coaching. My point is this; it shouldn't hurt to try and look at every available pieces of evidence irrespective of where they're coming from as long as none of us was there prior to and on the day of this unfortunate incident. Kemi is a journalist who has been a controversial news breaker from time immemorial and she'll continue to do such. Falana has issues with her because he took up the job of defending the Oromonis. Our job should be to watch and pray that the true story of what has been happening in that school and what happened that led to Sylvester's death get unravelled. Throwing tantrums endlessly here and there is quite uncivil and not necessary. I'm even sure to get my fair share of abuse as is the norm on Nairaland once someone doesn't like your post. ![]() |
jaeyking:Leave them make dem dey collect loan they don't have the means to EASILY pay back up and down and without caring to read through the T&C first to realise it's a bondage they're willingly entering into. I love reading all the story for the gods they come to Nairaland to put up here... Even conventional banks don't offer loans just like that and just to anyone without ensuring you have a regular source of income like being an employee of the FG which sometimes they request one's IPPIS number and so on. These banks have their reasons for all these. |

fergie0o1:Fergie, didn't the news add it was due to the arrival at the Carrington Training Complex of three Nigerians who tested positive to the Omicron variant and with recent travel history to Nigeria ![]() |
KsMom: ![]() Same here. A month after applying for d notes, CBSA said they were extending for up to another 30days and then the many excuses as to why.. 56 days already and it's still counting. I have even forgotten until now that I have to calculate how long it's been. If it comes, fine and if otherwise, all still well and good. |
RichDad1:Na so.. Most of them are the same ones calling for the heads of Sylvester's killers. What's the difference between what those killers did and what UK, Canada and others have done to Nigeria and other African countries they're stereotyping? They would rather support these countries that are bullying other countries under the pretence of fighting COVID-19. |
Annie001:Just ignore. You can see the sign of inferiority complex written all over that. Naija youths will allow sentiments becloud their judgement all because they hate someone. |
My problem with all this is Nigeria making noise about this whole saga and turning it to a furore. They should have gone ahead to retaliate almost immediately after Naija was put on a travel ban by each of these countries and then give one flimsy excuse through NCDC/PTF. Just exactly as they responded behind the scenes to Saudi Arabia's denial of slots to Air Peace and left everything in the hands of Sirika to manage in public. By now, I'm quite certain that the high commissions of these nations involved would have sat at a round table to work out a way forward. But then, FG has ruined it all by going to issue a statement to retaliate. |
The thing just tire me o I swear! When there are better tested, more technical and result-oriented coaches who have done so well with some African countries. The corrupt cabal at NFF are just simply setting up Austin Eguavoen! olusledge: |
eflintsone:Lol.. Na so the serpent do collabo with Eve that year come give Adam apple chop oo. ![]() |
Please replace that word "kidnapped" with "hosted". |
@lalasticlala and @seun Please when will you guys start shutting down accounts that turn threads and/or all threads that gets turned into tribal wars? This development is actually getting out of hand and it's something you guys need to address. You will see a single person hiding under 100s of monikers and manipulating threads with their bigotry! Is it that nothing can be done to make it more difficult for someone re-registering as soon as they are blocked? It's reached a stage that I have to think twice before deciding to open a thread these days but unfortunately, virtually every thread is under siege by these guys that are hell-bent on turning everything into tribal issue! |
@Succesintef: Powerful hands behind the scenes as antispam BOT won't allow me reply to that particular post of yours above. I've been banned thrice now (24hrs each) just for quoting you, with my posts deleted immediately. I was thinking it was due to the French I had in the responses that initially got me punished but now I know better. I just wonder which soaps the others above me used while typing purely in French, including you sef that made you guys escape such. Double standards, just maybe!Well, I was saying (in my deleted posts in French) that it was the same result I saw elsewhere. Quite an excellent one! Thanks for recropping and reposting. |
Wiseandtrue:Don't mind some people who never see anything good in what people manage to do with their limited resources and knowledge. Instead of encouraging whoever might have put this together, they will still manage to reason from the evil sides of things. As if Airbuses don't fall from the sky, as if buses, trucks and bikes don't have accident on their own or collide with something or with each other. The heart of man is desperately wicked indeed! This is exactly the situation in our everyday life, no matter what good you try to do, some people are just there hoping you fail and die without no reason! Even more amazing, people like him are there liking the negative comment, even when there was no mention of the single word "kudos". |
Odewaleadesoye:Wahala dey o! |
joeking2222:Tunde Akinsemola you mean? If yes, that guy was wow way back while I was growing up. He started with OSRC/ODTV though. He's got this smooth flow and quite lively disposition.. The likes of Ed Manuel Bassey (now of AIT) and homeboy Dayo Johnson learnt under him. |
Car radio locked on to Brila the reeea-ler FM.. apart from those times when wifey is in the car, when she "colonizes" everything and would rather play audio CDs. |
Until these crop of talented players overage and ready to quit football without winning any silverware like Belgium before NFF/NFA eyes go clear patapata. Make una continue.. |
tammie24:Lol.. You guys should keep signing in with your alternate monikers to abuse me because the truth I revealed about your paymasters is hurting you so much in the head and giving you sleepless nights. The more you guys attack, the more I enjoy watching you all in pains! Next... |
AmazingELixir:How will "the government" do such when they and our politicians' pot bellies are induced by these animals they call **ẹran igbẹ** washed down with alcohol? Until we drive them all to extinction, our eyes "will not clear" and we'll never receive sense. So let's continue! ![]() |
naturefellow:Na so I dey tell them these days o. "Keep it up". One day, we go finish all these animals. I remember growing up in the 80s and 90s, I used to see animals in my village in their natural habitats which in the present day are only available on NatGeoWild. |
Candidlady: ![]() Any animal goes for a Naija stomach, irrespective of the conservative and health status. |
And what if it was pre-planned to keep the public talking long after the show. These guys are meant to be superstars and this kind of controversial acts keep them in the news.. Believe them, you'll believe anything else! C'est fini. |
West1side:And may yours with generations yet unborn carry this your curse irrevocably till eternity if indeed everything I said is true. AMEN! |
adelaja70:Your past responses says so much about you. I can see you're nothing but one of those brainless Nairaland animals that do not deserve responses and I won't waste my time with you any longer.. |
adelaja70:Be deceiving yourself, your shadows and your ancestors there o Mr Pankẹrẹ Olootọ! |
